Shocking place. Never stay again
Hotel needs shutting down
Bathroom was good as it had a refit.
Room decor needs updating. Local bars and clubs playing music until 4am was a low point.
We didn’t like anything about this hotel I’m afraid.
We weren’t made aware of the nightclub next door or offered a “quiet room” as we had children with us.
We were in separate rooms and on 2 different floors. The 4th floor that my son and his father were staying on smelt very strongly of cannabis and had piles of rubbish everywhere.
There were men wandering around at 4am banging on the doors and waking people up despite it not being their door.
The night club was directly under mine and my 10 year olds window and did not finish until 3.30am. We were also scared by the man running up and down the corridor outside our room shouting and banging on random doors.
The rooms were dirty and very run down, they also both stink of cigarettes
It smelt of cigarette smoke
As above - smell
Room size, comfy bed
Lack of fans as hot and asked reception to be told very rudely if there isn’t one in wardrobe then no you haven’t got one, when windows don’t open wide enough to get air in and was extremely uncomfortably hot. Also noise from an external fan going on and off every 30 seconds kept us up all night, for it to stop at 9am, plus a hose with water running every 10 minutes.
Very hot room windows wouldn't open. Very loud music till 3am. No sleep.
The breakfast was very good and well cooked, the dining room was very clean.
Natalie on reception was so helpful and friendly, she sorted the WiFi for me and was happy to help.
Not a lot really, I did smell pot when I walked along the corridor on the first morning. But not after that.
The bacon was a bit overdone, but some people prefare it that way.
Breakfast was ok could do with improving fried bread and including black pudding
Larger cups for coffee
The smell for weed for next door and hallways was the only problem
Didnt like the breakfast room too small tables abit close to each other
cleanliness, modern dated, better staff
everything
how small my room was with no window
We didn’t have breakfast but enjoyed what amenities we did use
The rooms could of been together. One was on the 1st floor and one was on the 3rd floor. Not ideal for 2 brothers who wanted to be together. It spoilt the break a bit.
The lady at check in was lovely. Friendly, knowledgeable and very welcoming.
The hotel is a beautiful building but sadly has been neglected. On check in we were told we would be put in a better room. The room 421 was in need of a refurb. Looked tired and unloved. Painting around doors half finished, room very small. The bed was comfortable however. I do wonder what the room we had originally been placed in would be like if the one we were given was a better room. The room was cheap and whilst you get what you pay for, we’ve stayed in places for the same price where the care and attention of the building and rooms were apparent.
Everything was good. room, location.
