Noisy room above kitchen garbage area and smell from kitchen ventilation system right below the window....
Lovely experience at The Eldorado Hotel. Very clean room, comfy bed, efficient check-in and extras like crystal glassware, specialty soap, bath robes and Nespresso machine. The Lakeside Dining restaurant is fantastic. Delicious food presented by a wonderful server (Kate) in the perfect location looking out over the lake. Highly recommend!
The hotel itself is nice - room was nice, however, couldn't open the sliding glass door as directly below, there was a massive ventilation system that was very noisy and smelly with exhaust from the kitchen. This took away from the quality of the stay. The rooms that face the exhaust fans should be avoided.
Amazing location with incredible customer service.
Excellent property ; unfortunate they didn’t acknowledge gold status, that will be the reason I do not return.
Our room did not have a lake view, but it didn't matter as the ground floor views were wonderful at any time of the day. Staff were all very helpful and friendly and made time for you. The bar and restaurant offerings matched whatever type of eating experience you might want, from more formal to casual bar top eating and drinks. Would we go back? Yes — without question. Apart from the hotel, the area around the Okanagan lake offers much to see in terms of sightseeing and wineries to visit.
Very nice property
Weird check in process. Had to check in to different hotel and then walk 5 minutes to our room at another resort. Short staffed in lobby and restaurants.
Quaint and intimate boutique hotel. Beautifully appointed overlooking the lake.

The front desk staff are untrained and not empowered to give answers to most questions. On 3 occasions we were sent to Montao Resort’s Front Desk for answers. It’s too bad that Hotel Eldorado can’t stand on its own.
Beautiful well kept grounds and property!!
Location always loved- lakeside.
Beautiful property - well cared for. If you stay, be sure to try the restaurant
Lovely place to stay but we had a room with a terrible view of someone else’s balcony and the parking lot. Arrived when they were having an event and very little available parking. I had to circle the lot until someone left. No parking was dedicated to guests staying at the hotel. Did not get room service on our third night so had no coffee pods for the morning. I would stay here again but have lower expectations.
front desk never answered phone. music outside our room going to late in evening, wrong size housecoat --fit for a child. Good meal service and quick checkin. had to lug luggage up 3 floors - elevator far down the hall.
Gorgeous property! Dining was a huge issue. Lots of tables but definitely didn’t want to give you a good table. Chose this property to dine outside. Hostess kept putting us inside. Wasn’t a great experience.
Great hotel and great location.
The amenities of the property are great - pools, gym, lakefront, beach. The rooms in the Arms could use a few updates. I understand that some things have not been updated in keeping with its charm but our bathroom door wouldn’t close, unless you slammed it quite hard. The pool was very cute, along with the little outdoor grassy area. The outdoor pool was fantastic and the gym was spacious.
We dined at the Lakeside restaurant and the staff were ok. It seemed that some of the hosts may have been new. The servers were fine, not overly friendly. Probably tired of seeing tourists. The patio tables had a great view of the lake. It was a beautiful setting for a sunset. Our food was ok. The fries with our steak frites, tasted old and were not crispy at all. The steak lacked flavour. I would only dine here again for the view.
We found Kelowna, to have a weird vibe. It is a beautiful city but the people are very weird. Maybe a little conservative and judgemental. We are multi-ethnic family and didn’t feel too welcome in the space. We’ve heard from others that they feel the same way about Kelowna and the resort. It’s just too bad, cause the resort was nice. We may give it another shot and see if our opinion changes but it was really strange after coming from Victoria & Vancouver where we felt warm and welcoming vibes.
Everything about the stay was just simply amazing, from the view to food and the location. The only improvement I see is coordination and better alignment between the hotel staff the restaurant staff.
We totally enjoyed our stay even if it was just for one night, and will definitely stay there in future.
