Memorable stay.
Pros:

The Location was stunning, the staff in the stables restaurant and bar were really friendly and nice. The breakfast was really nice and the hotel and its surroundings was superb.

Cons:

The only thing I would say was we felt the shower in our room was a little small but the room itself was good.

Great stay and fabulous wedding. Food in stables was fantastic.
Pros:

The location and grounds are amazing. Thankfully we could enjoy the grounds due to the gorgeous weather. The staff where amazing, I needed to change rooms (my choice) and they were extremely helpful showing me a more suitable room for me.

Cons:

It’s little things that could be improved. It’s an old building with gorgeous old furniture but also old mirrors. As this is also a wedding venue mirrors could be improved. We had a suite which was huge but mirrors and lighting were not great just authentic. Also I would have liked tissues, cotton wool and shower cap in bathroom. The shower is gorgeous but it’s an overhead shower only. Thankfully I took my own shower cap. As I say it’s little minor things that would have made it perfect

Enjoyed our stay but could benefit from some improvement.
Pros:

Grounds, location, cleanliness, staff, quietness.

Cons:

Bathroom not suitable for 2 ladies in their 80's. Lack of hand rail for bath. Shower over Bath but bath too high to climb in. Had to use 4 steps from lift to room. Handrail would have helped!

Great Stay. Will stay again but be more demanding at breakfast. Oh and bring a mask for booking in.
Pros:

Location, Easy parking and Eclectic food.

Cons:

Bedroom walls a little thin!!!
Smoke in reception area from fire. I have COPD
Boiled Eggs for breakfast were over cooked.

Fantastic and lovely stay.
Pros:

Old building with lots of character. Room was spacious and grounds were beautiful. Separate bar and restaurant which was fantastic. All the staff were brilliant and attentive.

Cons:

Although the Food was lovely I felt it was a bit over priced in the restaurant.

Pros:

The hotel looked very clean and tidy throughout. The room was a standard double and everything was of good quality, clean and full working order. The stables eatery and bar was beautiful.

Cons:

Rubbish phone signal. But that certainly didn't ruin our experience.

Worst food I've ever had sorry
Pros:

The room was fine other than the window banging all night and had to put cards in for it to stop

Cons:

The food was really really bad,I ordered a burger to my room the first night,they added extras even though I didn't ask for them,the burger was absolutely disgusting and sloppy slimy then it took 14hrs for the tray to be removed from outside my door,the following nite in the stables restaurant the lettuce and cheese didn't go with the steak that was chewy and the chips wasn't cooked either,my partner was sick so we took the food to our room but binned it,for a lovely hotel like that it was extremely disappointing not to have good quality food for the price,it really needs looking at again it's fancy words but home cooked stuff,we have been to a lot of nice restaurants and this rated a 0 out of 10,what a waste of money

Nice hotel shame about the bed

Nice staff, great food, lovely hotel & lovely room Stanles bar & restaurant was excellent

Bed too small & too hard, no food after 7pm on the Sunday we arrived, food & drinks abit pricey
