Basic facilities. Nice location.
Pros:

Lovely architecture and grand presence

Cons:

No phone signal. Bland rooms. Wi-fi very poor and had to ask for code. Then when that failed to work I was given “corporate” code which was “ok” but dropped out a lot. Frustrating when trying to work. Detached restaurant - but very nice nonetheless

If this was a 'premium' hotel I shudder to think what the opposition is like.

Simply Lovely!
Pros:

Beautiful property that is tastefully decorated. It sits on impressive grounds; very green with a stream running through it. The restaurant is in a beautifully converted stable block.

We enjoyed our stay despite the inconveniences mentioned above and the staff are lovely.
Pros:

Beautiful location and grounds. Lovely old house, and well maintained.

Cons:

We were put in a room at the back with a window onto a covered walkway, which made it very dark during the day. The walkway was lit during the night, which is apparently a safety light, but it also lit up our room, even with the curtains closed. The light stayed on all through the night. Also, having to walk outside to the restaurant for all meals, including breakfast is not so good in rain and sleet.

It was great!
Pros:

The staff was helpful and kind. The food was lovely. The room was very clean. The hotel's location and surroundings were amazing. We will go there again.

Cons:

The room's walls were not well insulated. All the sound from the next room can be heard as if it were next to you. (People talk, TV noise). Even when the alarm went off next door, I thought it was my alarm and woke up.

Birthday celebration .
Pros:

We went for afternoon tea, decided to book the night ( pre booked online ) ..room was lovely very clean ..staff were amazing couldn't do enough for you ...location ideal .Evening meal and breakfast very nice .would definitely book again .
