Memorable, beautiful, first class and special. Thank you this experience.
Pros:

Our room was beautifull, the beds were very comfortable. There was everything we needed to make our stay memorable.

Cons:

The only negative was not being able to open the bedroom window. Not sure if you weren"t allowed to open it. But if so a small sign advising this would have been helpful.

Amazing Hotel and staff
Pros:

Everything about the hotel was wonderful. The staff were so helpful and knowledgeable. Room was tastefully decorated and had the most comfortable bed. The gardens and grounds are stunning with a riot of colour everywhere. Breakfast in the Stables restaurant was fantastic with lots of choice. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone. So much so, we have booked a return trip fot November.

Cons:

Packing up and getting ready to go home. 🤣🤣

Lovely location, pleasant staff but not a 'country house hotel' standard.
Pros:

Great location and beautiful house and garden, filled with flowers. Our room was huge and had a great view.

Cons:

With just a few tweaks this could be a fabulous hotel but felt that everything has been done on a shoestring. Our room was huge but didn't have enough furniture to make it cosy and in keeping. All painted boring white with not one picture on the walls. No suitcase stands, so cases had to be put on the floor (not good for elderly people having to keep bending over), no socket near the bedside table to charge phones. The corner bath so huge that it would take an hour to fill halfway with the dribble from the tap.
We booked a table in the restaurant before we arrived for 7pm on Sunday. Expecting to be able to have a leisurely drink in the garden before dinner, we were surprised to be told we had to "order in the next 5 minutes as the kitchen closes at 7.30". No-one bothered to tell us that it was a Sunday Lunch Menu and closed early. Overall the food wasn't wonderful.

Really enjoyable stay, excellent restaurant and lovely helpful staff.
Pros:

Beautiful hotel, stunning gardens too! Ideally located for Beamish Museum

Cons:

Our room was very tight on space. The bed had full duvet and with the summer temperatures it was too much, however there wasn’t a top sheet or a throw just to give light cover so we didn’t sleep very well.
