Shenzhen Shanghai Hotel

The aged property needs some renovations and repairs. Otherwise the hotel is reasonably priced for its excellent location.

It’s a convenient place to stay, with friendly and helpful staff.

Good location, nice breakfast.

I had stayed here several times before renovation which they apparently did during the pandemic. The categories of rooms have changed so I am not sure of the comparison but basically everything seems a bit upgraded; cleaner, with more modern fixtures and functioning better. Particularly the climate control which was previously an issue in the front rooms with large windows apparently is working well now. As before the staff are friendly and helpful. I don't know how much value is added by the robots roaming around, but this seems to be a thing now in recent renovated hotels in China.

This is my first visit since the covid lockdowns. I had visited many times earlier. They appear to have used the shutdown time well. The room I was in (and I suppose most others) is remodeled Its very clean and comfortable . The breakfast buffet has moved to a larger hall and was excellent. It appears they have robots delivering room service; at least I saw them roaming around

Nice stay at shanghai hotel, comfortable bed, comfortable rain showers, room is small but good enough for me to get tested. Center Park is right by, beautiful Park for long walk

we love the walking distance to metro very convenient location.. breakfast was good. staffs are friendly and helpful.

Close to shopping some of the wood framing in the bathroom is starting to rot and decay.

"King" size beds are really doubles. There are no King size beds on the property.

The hotel is Old but tidy ... Location is great and it's close to metro and shopping centers

The quality of the interior was very nice, I didn't expect it from a hotel that was so inexpensive. The staff were very professional. Breakfast is also a good deal if purchased when making the reservation, there is a wide selection of Western and Chinese food.

Hotel was easy to find after getting off the metro, right next to an impressive shopping mall with Asian and Western restaurants and brands. They had bands performing there that night too(no noise at the hotel though).Reception staff were not particularly welcoming and the initial impression was that the hotel was a bit run down, especially the cafe area but the room was nice, clean, stylish and spacious. Water pressure was great in the shower and despite being located on a busy road, it was very quiet.Took us 10min by taxi to get to the HK border point.The only downside of staying in that area was that when we wanted to go out for breakfast nearby, there was nowhere apart from Starbucks that opened before 10-11am.Bizarre.

I don't know why my reservation was cancelled by Expedia or Hotel.

take me three hours to get a room with a walk-in guest pay high price. and the second day we have to change to a different room. the price we paid for 4-star hotel. but overall was not a good experience. will never book this hotel again.

Good location, near MTR, and shopping malls are nearby

Located near SEG electronic markets and other markets. Also very near to two subway. Staff is very good and very cooperative

Value for money. Location is great as it is near Huaqiangbei where you can get all your electronics wares.

Location was great for HuaQiang.
WiFi signal was great (3rd floor).
Only stayed for one night.
Didn’t like that VPN was blocked on their network.
At least the one I tried.

Close to metro, walking distance to the electronics shopping district. Close to either a shopping mall or street vendors, your choice.
