What's the experience of my life
Disgusting!!!!!
Do not stay here!!!!
Not even Hot Water for a shower!!!!!!
WARNING! Stay was a horrible experience. Dirty, no hot water, smelled like mold.
Just cold water to take a shower. Unpleasant odors came from hotel.
The bathroom so dirty with leaking waters.
NOT RECOMMEND!
ABSOLUTELY DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!! I booked this hotel for a week and lost my money. I could tell something was wrong with this place as soon as I pulled into the parking lot at 10pm, there were no other vehicles, but one which was odd. I stepped into the lobby it had a horrible odor of mold and mildew, the smell was unbearable! No way I was going to stay here. Don’t let the photos online fool you, the hotel itself is pitiful….my brother which lives here in Corpus Christi told me that place is used for prostitution and drug addicts.
As I was sitting in the parking lot in my car with my husband. I was on the phone with Capital One trying to get my refund but since the hotel has the policy of no refunds in cancellation they would not help me, which I will be writing a review.
As this is happening 2 men show up, which I know the female receptionist reach out to them. They were just standing outside, stirring at us, so that’s when I decided just to leave the parking lot. Very fishy!!! Didn’t seem a safe hotel to stay at. I wouldn’t stay at this hotel for free.
Booking.com gave me a hard time about a refund for a stay there a couple months ago. The management was totally helpful in resolving the issue and made sure the refund was made. Very helpful and understanding management and location hard to beat. Highly recommend this hotel.
Arrived to find a toenail clipping by bed, hair clippings around and on the toilet seat, what looked like cigarette ashes on one of the hand towels, mold on refill toilet paper, likely due to a leak in the storage room. We reported all this as we were leaving for an event, and the front desk assured it would be taken care of when we returned. We were put in a different room but this time, there was a large dead cockroach, live ants, and no towels at all. Large black specks on the bed sheets, and makeup stains on a pillow case. Further, the tub faucet could not be turned off completely. This property is in DIRE need of repairs and a thorough cleaning.
Was mold infested & fully booked so we couldn’t even switch rooms. Ended up canceling & spending 3hrs looking for a different place to stay because it was so bad
I will start off by saying, the staff were very polite and sweet. I have no complaints about them at all. I don’t know if they are directly involved with the upkeep of the facility. The location was very convenient for driving to mustang island. We heard very little noise from neighbors and roadway. Plenty of parking.
At first glance, the hotel seemed nice enough for a La Quinta in Corpus. After all, it was chosen because it was the least expensive one around. First thing we noticed was the entry sliding doors were inoperable. Then 30 seconds in the building, you do notice an odor. As you go further into the elevator, then hallway then room…the smell gets almost overwhelming. The only way I can describe the odor is a swimming pool with mildew. I did not go close enough to confirm what it was, but the AC unit in the hallway had brown (rust?) all over it and the walls
The actual cleanliness of the room was not bad. Things obviously needed attention (grout in bathroom & torn box spring covers).
We did not get enough towels (we booked for 4 guests, there were 2 towels) which is whatever, but when I went down to grab 2 more they were only able to give me 1 and they had no more. Also when we had the breakfast there were no more plates, so we just ate waffles cut up in bowls.
So if the hotel did not have that stench I honestly would have been ok with it and staying there again for a night. But I just took my pony tail down and my hair just smells like the hotel :(
The smell of mold was so strong is burned my nose, there were roaches in the room, the window was leaking when it rained, when I went for breakfast, there was a roach on the fork. there was 1 other couple in the whole hotel. This place should be closed. the washer leaked when I did laundry. There was mold all over the walls and ceilings. It was the nastiest place that I had ever stayed in.
I had to move rooms four times. One for mold in the room and two because of bug infestation on the floor and beds. The staff was nice however
Tried three rooms and had to leave because of conditions and bugs
We did not stay
R poor condition. In my opinion it should be closed down until the problem is fixed.
From the moment you step in the lobby you notice the main door is not working. I had to push the door open to get in. The staff is completely underdressed wearing sweatpants and crocs.
The absolute worst part are the rooms. The smell of mold is strong and it’s visible in several areas. I asked for another room and it was the same. I took pictures and spoke to the person in the front desk and they admitted they are aware of the problem but provided no feedback about it.
Expedia should remove this facility from its list of options or it will eventually hurt its reputation.
Building is old and rusty and musty, Entrance sliding doors were not working. COLD Poor breakfast choices , only cranberry juice and coffee available .
I booked a stay at this location based on the reviews on Expedia. I made the mistake of not checking the google reviews first, because I would NEVER have booked here if I had.
The first issue was when I called (6+ hours) before check in to ask if I there was a possibility of checking in an hour and an half early. The person that answered the phone was rude. It’s no issue that the early check in couldn’t be accommodated, but being rude absolutely is.
The second issue was the condition of the building itself, and the parking lot. From the outside, the sign on the front of the building was hanging off. The carport over the drop off area/ front door was rusted. The parking lot had litter and random car parts and pieces of metal that could have damaged someone’s vehicle.
Lastly, the automated doors weren’t working. There was a piece of paper taped to the front doors stating to “manually” open the sliding doors. At this point, I no longer felt comfortable bringing my family inside and immediately contacted Expedia and am now waiting 72 hours for them to determine if I should receive a refund or not.
Look at the google reviews before booking through Expedia or any other third party, and save yourself the trouble of finding out the hard way like I did.
The staff was super excellent with me and my family. I needed nothing while there during my stay. I was forced to stay there due to a bad booking with Expedia and I was more than satisfied with the help this property gave us. We had a great vacation due to this Hotel.
I couldn’t even stay at the hotel because it was infested with ants all over the place, ants in bed ants in restroom and shower. I got switched to another room and that room was also infested with ants. I talked with the staff up front about it and they said I would get a refund but once I left and checked my bank it the next day I got a message saying that they wouldn’t refund me even tho it was their fault that I couldn’t stay
Dirty lamps , lamp shases, mold on the shades, mi ldew smell as soom as you walk in the hotel.
Very disappointed with the establishment. The entrance doors were broken - I had to manually pull the doors open, no a/ c in the lobby, and the pool... My family was not able to enjoy the pool as the water look blue but on the surface it was very filthy and the footprints with dirt or whatever we're seeing so I did not get to see my family. Enjoy the pool. The coffee was cold. I honestly was very disappointed
