Great that it is attached to the Waterpark! Great location. Value of the room as you get waterpasses with it is great.
Although it is great it is slowly starting to get a bit run down. We have been staying for over 5 years and it started off very fresh and clean. It is slowly losing how clean it is. I understand some wear and tear is normal. So that is why we still enjoy coming. Just hope they do a bit of a refresh and fix some of the broken things here soon before it goes down hill to far.
The room was nice, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good.
I did not like that the half of the water park was not in working order. Especially since that was main reason we picked that location. I did not like that my granddaughter forgot a bag of rocks under her pillow from the Mammoth site in Hot Springs that housekeeping did not find. This girl knows exactly where she puts stuffs.
Breakfast was very good! A step up from standard hotel breakfast
The accommodations were adequate - meaning there was a place for us to lay our heads at night. It was sufficient for what we needed.
The price was far too high for the value. The hotel itself seemed mostly clean, but in need of repair. Cracked tiles, chipped bathtub, etc. The mattresses were old and badly stained. Some of our party got trapped in the elevator and had to call the water park for help because neither the emergency elevator button nor the front desk would answer. Breakfast was mediocre, the room was crowded and noisy, and there were long lines for waffles. The staff was frequently away from the desk (assumed they were helping other guests, but the hotel is at fault for not staffing enough people for a busy weekend).
The water park was dirty, over-crowded, and barely functional. The big slides and lazy river were not operational, so there was just the pool, hot tub, and playground. The pool was small, water was cloudy, and it was absolutely PACKED (standing room only). The hot tub was full of kids using it as a swimming pool. The playground was crowded with big kids playing too rough for the little kids to enjoy. The floors were filthy, with gross, hairy gray globs around the drains. It was so bad my 5 kids wanted to leave after half an hour and none of them wanted to return the next day (this coming from kids who gladly spend full days at other water parks).
I paid $1500 for 2 rooms/2 nights and wish I'd have just stayed in a hotel with a normal pool for half the price. It was absolutely not worth it.
We booked this hotel strictly for the amazing water park. Upon check-in we immediately changed to go swimming and noticed half the water slides were closed down. Staff told us they had a pipe burst and none of the large water slides or the lazy river would be working for multiple days. I paid $370/night CAD for this room. Needless to say my kids were so disappointed. We drove 9 hours from Canada for this resort. We were never advised of this ahead of time, or even at check in. I definitely would have stayed elsewhere if I had known. (None of the water slides in the pic were operational).
Water pressure was way too low in bathroom
Perfect spot on our trip in South Dakota. The rooms were clean and spacious. The hotel was full with guests but quiet and clean. We loved the included waterpark and breakfast. Great value for the money. The arcade staff deserve a special kudos. They were very nice! The water park is clean enough but I made us all wear water shoes.
The free admission to water Park is false advertising. They only provide 4 passes per room even if you pay for a room for 6 people. It costs $35 per person over 4 people.
Chaotic hotel. Great looking pool, but they populate the heck out of it. So it appears dangerously crowded.
Rooms are loud with running and screaming down the hallways, and generally speaking the staff doesn’t seem to have much pride in their workplace.
We stayed at this hotel on the way to our destination, and then again on the way home. So we’ve spent two nights here, and the experience was across both stays.
Shrug.
Maybe it’s worth it if you spend hours in the pool. But not worth it for us, and certainly not worth $300+ for a single night.
Everything
Loved my trip and stay, room was very comfortable and clean, my children had a good time by the pool, lifeguards did a good job making sure all the kids followed pool rules and were staying safe, breakfast was so delicious, breakfast staff was so nice and made my daughters waffle for her <3
No complaints about property
Location
Green sludge dangling and growing from kids area water supply for the multi level water play station closest to reserve tables in water park. Poor air circulation in water park.
I liked the pool my grandchildren really enjoyed the pool and slides.
Our room was on the second floor right next to the arcade and was very very noisy in the mornings especially, all we can hear was a door kept opening and slamming closed started every morning around 7 very unpleasant and wished we would have had a little more quiet room.
Staff was friendly, The hotel was clean...
Mother nature.. You drove all the way down from Montana for my grandson's birthday to spend time at the water park and it got shut down because of lightning..
