Nice stay but needs work
Pros:

The villa needs some work. The carpet is stained and needs to be replaced. The beds need upgraded mattresses and new bedding. Lastly, the entire villa needs to be deodorized. It has a horrible smell of smoke. This villa would be an excellent stay, if these items are remedied.

Pros:

Loved the property. Transportation is a challenge as a tourist. Can't even rent a golf cart like so many locals are driving. So Uber or rent a car, although there is a shuttle that's pretty convenient to go to most places. Great price! But do not show up early or even at the check in time, expect hours past.

I would never book here again. There wasn't one big issue but several issues that kept building.
1. They state that wi-fi isn't guaranteed and they mean it. We followed the directions to reset it but it didn't work. We reached out Thursday night & never heard back the entire weekend. We used our phones as hot spots but major carriers only had 1-2 bars of signal. If you need wi-fi stay somewhere that guarantees it.
2. We found shoulder blade length hair throughout despite none of us having long hair or any guest over. The box springs were moldy & stained. The caulking around the sink was worn out. There was sand/dirt throughout (yes, it's a beach town but this is far from the beach). There were random handprints on one of the beds, not ours, that make us wonder how long they had been there/not touched or cleaned.
3. The wrong address was provided & sent us to a private residence. We had to call to get the correct address.
4. Despite being very descriptive of the checkout process for everything else, they tell you to take out the trash but not where the dumpster is. We found a dumpster at the entrance of the complex but it was locked (if you don't take out the trash there's a fee).
5. There was no deadbolt on the unit. It was just the doorknob lock controlled by the keypad. There was no way to secure it beyond that like most hotels or airBNB.
6. It's a 10 minute drive to anything so be prepared to drive for everything.

We stayed for 4 nights and only had one issue with the pool key and that was rectified immediately! The stay and condo was perfect!

Experience was horrible. 2 bedroom condo that we rented out was dirty & stained carpet with dirty walls we also had 2 roaches in our room!!!! Not like pictures or description. One of the bedrooms had no working AC, TV remote had no working batteries. The master bedroom had a broken TV & on suite bathroom had no soak in tub like in description. The resort also got our information mixed up & said that we were suppose to check out a day earlier when our reservation and receipt said we were not suppose to be checked out yet until the next day. The resort finally found our information and apologize, but we will never come back here again.

While staying at Barefoot Resort and Yacht Club, I did not receive my pool pass that was told by the front desk it would be given to me to the room under my reservation. I stayed till a week and have called the front desk and every number given and have talked to the front desk in person at the Myrtlewood front desk and they said the room key would be in our room with the parking passes and was not. So then we called and they said that we could pick it up the following morning at the Myrtlewood location(20 minuntes away). So we went over they changed their policy TODAY they would be bringing all the missing pool keys out to the rooms and leave them on the counter. And then after that I callled
and asked them to confirm the confirmation that they were going to bring the keys out as well and the lady on the line did confirm to me that someone was bringing them to us. In our room so we left and expected our keys to be there after we got to our room hours later. Then returned to no pool keys and called the other number for concerns after five to a man that said he’d leave a message for management and they did not have anything to do for us for the evening. Next day we drove to the other location again after having late check in and the prior day and then the next time to receive another pool pass to a different pool that we’d need to return when we leave at the same spot out of our way or we’d be charged. And while we were there they had our roof above us on the 3rd floor redone.

The worst experience ever

The worst experience I've ever had.
As soon as we walked into our room everything looked dirty , smelled awful, stained beds, black mold everywhere, and missing the pool key. We called the front desk that was a 21 min drive away from the room. They didn't care and refused to do anything.
I told them there's no way we could stay in that room. Manager said there's nothing they could do and didn't care at all.
They refused to cancel our stay.
So i payed for absolutely nothing we had to find a last min hotel someplace else. I will never in my life stay in any property they own.

When we arrived our unit did not have a pool key. We contacted the number and was told to call back on Monday to speak to management. There wasn’t anything that could be done and my kids couldn’t go swimming. This was a huge problem especially with 3 kids who all love swimming in a pool and not the ocean. We never got a key card and was offered to go swimming in another area.

This property was a dump. Lumpy mattress on both beds,stained carpet and outdated. Debbie (a supervisor with customer service) was very helpful though, she made things right by moving us to another property (upgrade). othe than the small bed, everything else was great. Thanks Debbie.

The young lady at the front desk was very friendly during check-in. The villas were very peaceful and we also liked the location...
However, we were not happy with the cleanliness of the linens and the lack of towels. We called to request more towels, but we were told that there were enough and that we would have to drive 20 minutes to pick them up if we needed them... We ended up going to Walmart to buy towels for our guests. Because two would not be enough for five guests... The furniture could also be updated, and the microwave handle was broken.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the management at Beach Vacations. Their unprofessionalism and lack of accountability have severely impacted my recent stay.

Upon arrival, I was placed in the wrong room type. On the first day, the master bathroom lights were not functioning, and we were not provided with pool keys, rendering the pool unusable. When I requested a temporary key, my request was refused, with the excuse that the HOA was responsible for the key issue. Eventually, I had to rely on a neighbor to access the pool, only to be informed that it closed at 8:30 PM, despite our paperwork stating it was open until 10 PM. Additionally, I was told to drive 20 minutes to use another facility’s pool, which was highly inconvenient.

The property is also undergoing extensive construction, making the trash chutes unusable. When I complained about these issues, Matthew assured me that a refund and a complimentary stay would be provided. However, a week has passed, and no refund has been issued. I contacted Debbie, who falsely claimed the refund was processed and promised to send confirmation via email. I have yet to receive either the refund or the confirmation email.

Owners, please ensure you monitor the companies managing your villas. I have always enjoyed my stays at Yacht Club Villas in the past, but the recent years have been dreadful due to poor management and customer service. It

The stay started off a little bumpy. When we arrived to Myrtle Beach, I realized that they never sent me the welcome email providing me with the information needed to get inside the Villa such as the access codes to get inside the villa. I finally received it only to walk into a occupied room. They gave me access to someone else's room luckily they wasn't there. The long story short I had to wait an additional 45 mins ticket a room. After this mishap everything was gravy. The room was very spacious clean and the view was amazing! I would definitely come back and stay at this location.

We arrived at the location where we’re very excited to stay. Walked into the unit to find the smoke detector beeping, back door broken and stuck open, (we have 6 in our family) and needed the promised pullout couch and the bed was broken. This was just the start….we called maintenance and a guy came 39 minutes later and was very nice. He tried to fix the back door and said he can’t. He tried to fix the smoke detector and couldn’t. He called his supervisor Matt and nothing came about it. My wife called and spoke to Matt on the phone and he was trying hard to get off the phone. My wife was upset because we really wanted to use the back porch to sit and enjoy the quiet but couldn’t. They NEVER came and made it right. We asked for a partial refund because it was super disappointing that the customer services ce was less than par. Arbor Trace was the worst experience ever. Do not do Barefoot Resorts. Terrible experience! We definitely should’ve received something back. Also they didn’t have anything in the kitchen for guests. We had to buy our own stuff so we could eat there. We also tried to use the vacuum and it was broken. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this resort!
