Great location near to metro station and airport bus is just outside the main road. Entrance to the hotel is also not very crowded with a lot of people. Very near to the myeongdong food street. The check in process was very smooth with the help from Jacob! He allow us to check in early as we arrive in the morning and yet to reach standard check in timing when he saw our boy was sleeping in the stroller. Very thoughtful of him. The rooms were clean and everyday they helped to clean up all the rubbish and towels for us. The rooms were not very expensive as compare to other hotel which are just stone away from myeongdong area. Its value is just nice range for us. Probably the noise from other rooms are a-bit not so soundproof. Maybe this got to look into it. Lastly we are glad they have got coin laundry service as this means we can pack our luggage lighter and bring home more goodies!!
Location

Great location!
The hotel is a typical Ibis - room size is okay, bathroom is typical IBIS - on the smaller side. Overall, breakfast was not lavish, but still good and with enough variety to keep you well fed, with nice, attentive staff manning the area. The room was clean and maintained well by the housekeeping staff. The location is UNBEATABLE....one minute from the airport bus stop and also one minute from Myeongdong market. I always trust Accor for reliability and consistency.....you know what to expect.... there are minimal surprises…. I have been staying in Accor hotels for years. Will I go back? Surely, because Accor generally does not disappoint. (though there was one blip that I am going to elaborately describe below)
Now the NEGATIVES (and I spoke to manager Jacob about this): Firstly, I was not greeted for my priority status...which is okay and a minor thing, but I do get greeted at other hotels. Also, I had booked a triple room for 2 adults + my 16 year old son. While checking in, I was told that my son's breakfast would be charged.
I tried to explain that while booking, the system had already considered by child as an adult and hence given me 3-bed room as the only option (This happens when a child is 12+ for Ibis and 16+ for Novotel). Basically, I had paid for 3 beds and 3 breakfasts so what is the extra charge about?
The extra charge would have applied if there had been another child - a fourth occupant e.g. 11 year old child with me. I tried to explain this to the lady at the reception desk. I also showed her that the cost for 3 adults and 2 adults + one 16 year old is the same by showing her a mock-up booking for a future date. This happens because the system already considers a 16 year old as adult. She was still adamant. Now my point is, you MAY NOT KNOW YOUR OWN POLICIES FULLY WELL, MAY BE YOU NEED TRAINING, but what about COMMON SENSE? FOR ME, SUCH BEHAVIOUR IS ADAMANT AND STUPID AND FAILURE TO USE COMMON SENSE. Also, I was only informed about the status of this during check-out on day 4. (I had reached out to the hotel and accor plus email IDs on day 1 BUT EVERYONE TOOK THEIR OWN SWEET TIME TO RESPOND)
Some uncomfortable questions – did you try to make extra money? Did you not know your policies? Did you not apply common sense? What are you going to do to ensure such a thing is not repeated in future?
Since it’s Accor, I’ll give them the benefit of doubt and conclude that this was just a knowledge gap and unintentional and they'll take corrective/ preventive actions.
Overall, I had a great trip to Korea, seeing wonderful sights, having wonderful food and meeting Korean helpful people all the time. I have just deducted one star as Ibis Myeongdong was positive and satisfactory as an overall package. Thank you Korea....thank you Ibis Myeongdong

Great staff and perfectly located hotel. The train station was very close and the market being down stairs was amazing.
The beds were Soo hard. Not a comfortable sleep after 20k-30k of steps.
Great location and excellent services provided by the staffs especially Jeff.
