Very happy with the hotel and staff and in a great location. The room we were in had a great view.
Pros:

Our room wasn't ready when we arrived at 7.00 pm which was a little disappointing as check-in was supposed to be available from 3.00. We were offered a complimentary drink but as we were running late for an event we declined but were given an upgrade. Staff were very helpful and we were happy with the offer.

Cons:

Check in took rather a long time. Room was not particularly well sound proofed.

Pros:

Location was excellent with plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby. The breakfast was spot on.

Cons:

Whenever the hot water was used in my room or next door there was a loud noise which only stopped when the tap was turned off. This ruined my sleep.

Nice hotel, great staff, shame about the generator noise
Pros:

Staff - very helpful, polite and happy to assist. Bed was very comfortable with lovely pillows. Food, both the event and breakfast was very good - excellent choice at breakfast. Bathroom very clean with a nice arrange of useful items and products. Good selection of quality teas/coffee's in room. Bathrobe availability was a nice addition - not many hotels offer that at no extra cost.

Cons:

Room looked a little tired in terms of decor (bathroom was good though). My biggest issue was that I could hear a generator when I retired to bed - too loud to sleep. I did notify reception who responded immediately by turning off (which was great) but it was clear that the generator noise was a known issue - why was it allowed to run at 11:30pm? It then commenced its noise at 06:30am! I did mention at reception on check out - staff were apologetic and offered room upgrade should I with to return (which was appreciated) but again - it was a known issue so why was it allowed to happen?

Nothing to doo with the property but the car park next takes a bit of working out where you’d parked 😩
