Rooms were great
They were doing renovations and so no pool
terrible
not much to choose from
Clean and location
Pool, hot tub and gym closed
Établissement propre et confortable, simple.
Hôtel en rénovation avec bâches aux fenêtres et piscine hors service et prix élevé.
Rooms were excellent but lobby was going through renovations so areas slightly dusty and you were detoured around to outside to get to lobby and eating area.
I booked the room they booking.com and paid for the room they them. The hotel charged me another 360$ and won't return my calls to resolve this issue
I would like to share my experience regarding the service I received from the hotel staff over the phone, specifically on June 30th at around 3 PM (Eastern Time), while I was in Montreal, Canada.
I had made a reservation through my app on Saturday, June 27th. There were two types of rooms available at that time. As a Diamond member, I’ve always chosen Hilton properties during my travels across the United States and Canada, expecting a higher level of service and accommodation due to my loyalty.
On June 30th, I received an email notifying me that my reservation had been canceled, but the email lacked any explanation for the cancellation. Concerned, I promptly called the hotel for clarification. The representative who answered the phone immediately recognized my status and informed me that my reservation had been canceled due to a lack of available rooms. He mentioned that they were fully booked and that they were short one room.
This response raised my concerns, as I have often encountered situations where hotels reserve extra rooms for Diamond members, especially in cases of overbooking. I fully expected that, given my status, the hotel would make an effort to accommodate me and find a solution to the situation. However, to my disappointment, there was no attempt made by the staff to assist me or improve my circumstances.
After this experience at the Hampton, my perception of Hilton has significantly changed. I have always prioritized Hilton branded hotels during my travels, but the lack of consideration and support I received as a Diamond member has led me to reconsider my loyalty. I have never encountered such poor service before, and it was quite disheartening.
I feel compelled to bring this to the attention of Hilton corporate because I believe they should be aware of how they are losing valuable customers through inadequate service. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this hotel to others. I suggest looking for alternative accommodations, as you may be much more satisfied with your choice.
It was very clean and comfortable and the staff were very nice and I look forward to coming back again in the future it's one of the best hotels
Everything thers was nice
If you book a room at this hotel in advance ask for an email with the exact amount you will be asked to pay. We did not and the price changed somehow. We asked to speak to the manager who was not available. He was supposed to phone us but never did. Also, if using the hot tub or pool matter to you, you might want to get that in writing also. The hot tub was not working in May and I understand the pool was not working in April. There is very little parking available, possibly due to most of the parking area taken with constuction materials. Our remodeled room was clean. There really is no lake view, unless maybe you stand on the roof. The short freight trains did not bother us, in fact we enjoyed watching them. But I would not stay at this place again.
This hotel is under a major renovation and is a total mess. The renovated rooms are nice but smell like new paint. Many services are shut down and management doesn’t seem to care. We had to go through corporate reservations to get a refund and move to another location.
Currently staying at Hampton Inn Geneva New York. Booked for three nights June 21-24 ,2026 at regular rate. A disaster. Only AFTER I booked did the website say renovations until July 1. The amount of renovations in the hotel is staggering. The hall smells of paint with heavy fumes. We are climbing over workmen. The lobby entrance looks like a crime scene with yellow tape making an x across the front entrance. Supplies are piled everywhere. Parking spots taken by containers filled with equipment and supplies. One room on the second floor has no hardware on the lock area, so the door is open, and there's no idea who's camping out in there. Trucks are backing up under our windows at 4:15 AM with accompanying noise. The hot tub is not working. There's no notice for Housekeeping every other day. Breakfast such as it is is in a conference room amid this chaos This is not acceptable by any standards, especially not for Hilton. This road trip is the end of my ever using Hilton hotels!!
Our renovated room was beautiful. Bathroom new and spotless. Shower had great water pressure. Breakfast buffet was excellent. The young lady at the front desk was very helpful!
Lobby ladies room needs updating, but I believe they're working on it (first floor u
nder renovation)
I thought the location was very convenient. It was very close to downtown Geneva and other places I wanted to visit on the lake. The hotel room itself was very clean and well kept.
The specifically only booked this hotel for the hot tub and of course it was not available the weekend I came to visit. The remote was missing from the room so I couldn’t watch tv. Unhappy staff member were outside my window complaining about work very loudly at 5am which woke me up repeatedly. I went to the front desk multiple times and couldn’t throughout my stay and couldn’t find help, including when I was going to check out, so I just left the keys on the desk.
The breakfast was fine. The location was excellent. Easy walking distance to downtown Geneva, while having a perfect location next to the lake. Rooms were very nice. I saw the location is under renovation but that did not affect our stay at all. Will likely be back the next time I'm in the area.
My friend as a Hilton Honors Member booked a hotel for a long weekend in the Finger Lakes. Days prior to departing, we received notification that the pool and hot tub were inoperable due to maintenance. I called to see what compensation we could receive since these amenities are included in the cost of the room. The manager was not available but was to return my call. He never called. I called again on Friday as I navigated to the Finger Lakes region (4 hours away). He was still unavailable. I requested a return call. No call. We arrived at the hotel late in the evening. Maybe 7:00 pm. Again we presented our concern. The woman at the desk went in the back office and returned saying the manager said it’s not his fault the Dept of Health closed the pool and spa but we can cancel free of charge. We went outside and attempted to locate other lodging without success and our fatigue depleting our motivation to search. We stayed. Saturday afternoon came with construction in the room beside ours and above us as we tried to nap after a day filled with activity (this continued from 10 am til 6 pm daily). Then an attempt to shower brought us brown water in the tub. The drinking water in the lobby tasted of chlorine. Breakfast presented waffle batter that was separated (maybe that’s normal?? But now I’m questioning everything!), scrambled eggs sitting in liquid of some sort, stale Raisin Bran, and limited options to get us through the day. Upon checkout I again inquired what we could do to compensate the closed pool/hot tub area and now new concerns. The woman at the desk brought the manager, Mr. Moulesh Patel. He was confrontational, argumentative, and entitled with zero accountability. He did NOTHING wrong to disrupt our visit and he was not going to provide any inkling of customer service to smooth this over. He argued with me about returning my call saying “why would I call YOU?” Rude and arrogant. I finally walked away. I wish I would’ve addressed the customers dining in the lobby by letting them know the health department was involved with this hotel. We had a great trip despite the lack of customer service at the hotel, but I’d encourage you to look elsewhere because if there’s an issue, Mr. Patel will NOT address it. You’re stuck.
