Really central location in the city, tram is close by, as is the Queen Victoria Markets.
Room was clean, and the staff were very friendly
My son slept on the sofa bed in the lounge, and said the mattress wasn't great
My children and i stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment at Ibis Hotel & Apartments from Wed 1st July to Fri 3rd July. It's nothing fancy and flash but that's not why we booked with Ibis. I was looking for cheap and nice and close to the places i had prebooked for family friendly fun around the city.
Our room was comfortable for us. We were basically there to shit shower and sleep lol so no need for views or anything. It was surprisingly quiet, heard a couple of room doors close here and there but that was about it! Never bothered us! Uber pick ups and drop offs right out the front of the building or across the road. A supermarket a short walk around the same block the hotel is on (Aldi)Trams a couple minutes walk away! Vic markets 5 minutes walk away at the end of Therry Street! Heaps of restaurants in walking distance! But can also uber eat in food as well which we did when we couldnt decide which restaurant to go cause my kids are fussy!🤦🏽♀️
We loved everything! Affordable! The location! The polite, happy and helpful staff! Our room which was spacious for 3 of us. The full size fridge we made use of considering its just a kitchenette (doesn't have any cooking facilities but all goods i wasn't there to cook😂) there is a microwave, jug and toaster though.
The yummy buffet breakfast included free in our booking and the restaurant space we ate in was so lovely. The check out time! The luggage storage service! Everything suited our needs perfectly!
Huge thank you to Isaak at the desk! You were so helpful and friendly and even better knowing you're from NZ🥰
Laurie/Lorry (sorry if I misspelt your name😬) who we bumped into a few times in the hallway and elevators😆 you both were so easy to talk and laugh with even though our encounters were brief moments lmao
Sarah who was helping in the kitchen who I thanked for a yummy breakfast on Thursday morning. Thank you to the chef as well😊
I'd definately stay there again!
The shower pressure wasn't what we're used to but we still got washed and clean🙂
Location
No bins liners in X3 bins no tea towel to dry dishes no spare pillows or blanket for the bed . Windows facing concrete buildings. Body hair found in bathtub before having a shower . No toilet brush no hand towel
Location
Lobby was lovely room was nice
Carpet looking a bit tired and beds where hard
Amazing location, can walk anywhere in the city and right next to Victoria market and Melbourne central. Spacious room and bathroom. No noise complaints from me, very quiet when I stayed. Bed comfortable and staff friendly
Probably some power outlets by the bed and some usb outlets. Slightly thicker Douvet for winter. Wi-Fi dint work for me. No major complaints though
The hotel’s location was excellent and made it easy to get around. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, and we really appreciated their flexibility with check-in, allowing us to access our room well before the official check-in time. This made a big difference to our stay, especially as we were travelling with young children.
The only minor drawbacks were things that are largely outside the hotel’s control. There isn’t lift access from the underground car park, which made carrying our luggage a little inconvenient, although this was mainly because we were travelling with a lot of bags. The exit from the underground car park is also quite tight and required a bit of back-and-forth manoeuvring to get around the corner. The parking spaces themselves were fine. It was just the exit that was a little challenging.
Shower - no hot water. Plant noise.
Location close to trams, and Victoria market
No hot water, barely warm even after 10mins running.
Heater set to 27, and hard to adjust, kept resetting itself!
Ordered a queen bed room, recieved twin double bed room.
Parking $40 pernight nit disclosed before booking
Convenient and easy.
Shower was terrible
Was lukewarm late at night
Room was also too cold. I couldn't adjust the heating.
Location was good, bed was comfy

1) The breakfast menu was very limited. Stayed at the hotel for 10 days. Everyday it had the same menu !
2) The water pressure in the shower was very low. On compliant, they said they cant do much about it its the standard.
