Treacys Oakwood Hotel

Our stay at Treacys Oakwood Hotel was outstanding from the very first interaction.

Even before we arrived, the experience set a high bar. While planning the trip for our group (three families with kids), the reception team was incredibly helpful—offering thoughtful advice on the best way to accommodate all of us comfortably and even providing a discount. Communication was fast, clear, and genuinely pleasant, which made organizing everything feel effortless.

We had a late-night flight, but that turned out to be no issue at all. The check-in process at 1 a.m. was smooth and quick, exactly what you hope for after a long journey.

As for the hotel itself—it truly exceeded our expectations. It feels less like a typical hotel and more like a blend of a palace and a museum. The interiors are stylish yet cozy, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout.

The rooms are very well equipped with everything you might need: hairdryers, coffee-making facilities, irons—you name it. Extremely comfortable beds, which made a big difference after busy days exploring.

The staff continued to impress during our stay, always ready to recommend places to visit and explain the best ways to get there. Their local knowledge and willingness to help really enhanced our trip.

If we find ourselves in Shannon again, there’s no question we’d choose this hotel without a second thought.

The front staff are so friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean. Great location. It's a lively local spot so you will find the restaurant/lounge busy. I have stayed here a few times. This was the first time I could hear people in adjoining rooms - the hot water in my tub wasn't overly hot - and I didn't really like the breakfast. But I am being picky - I will come here again, these are just minor things that prevent me from giving Treacys a 5 star.

We have stayed here before and will continue to do so when we visit Ireland. The hotel is warm and welcoming; the staff are always so attentive and go above and beyond and everything you'd want in a hotel (nice rooms, good food options, good location) can all be found under the one roof.

I was absolutely blown away by this hotel, from how great it looks and to the staff. The staff couldn't do enough for you and were very friendly. The hotel itself is immaculate, the rooms are beautifully decorated as is the hotel itself. Then the food, wow. The food is so tasty, the atmosphere is so laid back too. All in all it was definitely worth going and I'll definitely be back. I'd highly recommend staying here to anyone. Oh big shout out to your staff especially the younger ones, theyre a credit to you and themselves. I wish I could come back in the morning, but unfortunately I have to save 😂

After the funeral of my Wife, Treacy's Oakwood Hotel, Shannon did a super meal for friends and family.

The bed and room layout was comfy. Good parking too. If we were going that way again, we'd stay again.

Diverted to Shannon by Storm Bram after a transatlantic flight. Team were super welcoming and sympathetic, so appreciated their hospitality

Went to the Oakwood with friends a few times recently. Nice atmosphere, Lovely food. The bar is really well laid out, really relaxing. The function room is spacious and good for social gatherings.
Staff are pleasant and service is fast.

This a luxurorious hotel the rooms are very lrarge and comfortable. The staff are very helpful and friendly
There is plenty of parking.
The only comment is thet restauranrt closed a 9pm

We spent a night last weekend and really enjoyed our stay.

The location was perfect for our trip to see Santa in Bunratty Castle. There is plenty of parking, even on a very busy Christmas weekend.

The hotel was decorated beautifully and elegantly for Christmas.

We only had breakfast there, but it was a really nice breakfast.

The breakfast staff, most notably Raoul, were extremely helpful. We were a family of 5, and the only table big enough for us had just been vacated, and Raoul was over really quickly to clean and reset it. He is a credit to your hotel.

We will definitely stay there the next time we are down in the Shannon area.

We had great time friendly staff, my wife uses walking aids and has mobility issues the hotel is perfectly adapted in the bedrooms and loads of space in the restaurant and lobby definitely going to be back

Stayed here at the end our 2-week Ireland vacation to be near the airport for our return trip. Excellent hotel, great newly renovated room and excellent meals.
