We got this for my parents and they couldn't recommend enough, fabulous staff, fabulous food, fabulous rooms. They have said they will most definitely be going back for a long weekend, to get use of the spa and golf
A beautiful hotel excellently presented in a quiet, peaceful and picturesque setting.
Shuttle service is available from the car park to the reception. Our room was fantastic. We booked a classic king and were upgraded to a deluxe king. The room was extremely spacious with tea, coffee making facilities, a very comfortable bed overlooking a walled garden. The bathroom was exquisite and had a bath, separate shower and toilet. The toiletries smelled wonderful and were locally sourced.
We had dinner on Maxwells from a set menu. The food and service was fantastic particularly the desserts of chocolate passion fruit dome and the caramelised honey pannacotta. The breakfast was here the next morning also and what an array of food options available!
The setting of the hotel is beautiful and a map is available of the estate and its walking routes. Unfortunately for us the weather was against us and we didn’t get to see as much as we would have liked.
A wonderful stay in a very popular hotel.
The hotel is very busy so unfortunately we didn’t make use of the leisure space. I’d recommend booking a treatment earlier to book in and taking full advantage of the facilities at that point. Our bathrobes were also a little snug but we were too embarrassed to call reception for larger ones.
A very popular hotel so when it comes to meal times you may have to wait a few moments to be seated. Definitely book a table ahead of your stay.

Seclusion and privacy and great walks around the lakes. The hotel is a great resort run by great staff and we were made very welcome from the moment we arrived.
Bar service in the bar area was a bit slow but the staff were very friendly so that made up for the wait .
