Didn’t use
Front desk was not friendly. Told me we had to pay $20.00 more for incidentals. I was unhappy. What incidentals, his tip. I paid under protest!
The beds were comfy, the hotel was quiet, the breakfast was decent, the gym was pretty good for a hotel gym. The staff was friendly and gave us no issues. The pool was closed for maintenance, but we weren't there for a pool so it was no trouble to us.
We were fine with everything.
We had a terrible experience at this hotel. We paid $500 for a 1 room suite. This was an average suite and not worth $500. The worst part was we were charged $500 by Expedia at the time of booking and $500 when we checked out of the hotel in November. I told the front desk clerk that I had already paid for the room, but he proceeded to put a $500 hold on my credit card. I am a former Manager of Hotels and know how Expedia reservations work. I'm not sure how this was missed by the hotel. I have called Choice Corporate, called the hotel and emailed and wrote a letter to the hotel personally. They have said I need to contact Expedia. Expedia has said I need to get the money back from the Hotel. At this point, all I want is my money back that I was double charged. I've wasted a lot of time trying to track down the money to get refunded.
I liked the location because it was .5 miles from my job.
I didn't like the sign on the breakfast room door. It said, "Please dress appropriately." Appropriate attire has different cross cultural meaning. What is appropriate for me may be inappropriate for others. Why is any sign necessary?
