Accusing someone of stealing sheets is a serious and offensive thing to do. I was on a road trip from another country and only stayed for one night. It seems clear to me, therefore, that I had no interest in taking any sheets, low quality anyway. I therefore reiterate that the accusation is completely false. And as proof that this is your mistake, there is the admission of missing detail made by one of your employees during the phone call. After a few weeks had passed without receiving the deposit, I called your office to ask for an explanation. Your employee promised to call me back shortly, but that didn’t happen. So I called back a few hours later, and during that call I was informed that the reason for the lack of reimbursement was due of missing bedding. At that point, I asked for details to see if it was a misunderstanding, but he couldn’t tell me what was missing. I strongly urge you to review your policy for handling any missing items, and above all, to contact customers and seek explanations rather than silently withholding their deposit.
