Room 101 appeared to have a significant roach/bug infestation, mold&mildew which I documented with photographs and video. I intend to submit this evidence to the Union County Health Department for review. Given these conditions, I question how this property received a President's Award designation without adequate inspection. My experience was extremely disappointing and reflects poorly on the Wyndham brand. I have lost confidence in the Wyndham brand. Don't bother offering a solution short of my $$$ !

This is a very old building, but don’t let that fool you. Our room was nicely updated, clean and comfortable. Bed was great with decent bedding. Breakfast is minimal, but they did have a waffle machine so it was that or cold cereal. We will be staying here again.

Dirty beat up rooms

Convenient location approximately 45 minutes from destination in Charlotte. Property was recently renovated to include lobby, dining area, and guest rooms. Beds were clean and comfortable. Value was superb as amenities were adequate and stay included continental breakfast. Highly recommend this lodging for business travel and family lodging. Management and staff were professional, polite, and resourceful upon check in and throughout our stay.

Bad odor when I entered the room. Was not expecting a motel but I guess that is on me. I was looking for a last minute hotel in the area and read previous reviews before booking. As a solo female traveler I just didn’t feel comfortable. Shower had dead bugs and stained shower curtain. There were three cars in the parking lot. I left without a refund and found a Hotel nearby where I felt safer.

I wasn't expecting the Ritz, but a number of previous reviews emphasized how clean the rooms were, so I took a chance. I rented two rooms for my family. When we got into bed, we saw a brown stain on the fitted sheet. I pulled down the covers on the other bed, and saw a large yellow stain on that bedsheet. We wanted to leave, but since my family in the next room was already settled in, and it was late at night, and we were tired, we stayed. In the morning, I stepped into the shower and the inside of the shower curtain had much mold, which was gross. My daughter in the next room would not use the shower because her shower curtain had mold also. The grout between the tiles in the shower was stained also, possibly with mold. We could not wait to get out of there and cancelled our reservation for the next night.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! Even though it was just for one night, everything from check-in to check-out was smooth and welcoming. The staff was incredibly friendly and made me feel at home right away. My room was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed for a relaxing stay.

I was charged $100 deposit, then on top of that $25 per day for my service animal which was not supposed to be a charge. Stay 3 days room was never cleaned never got any extra toilet paper towels or anything this place should be called Last Resort!

Good hotel

We booked this at a higher price than ithers in the area bc they offered a pool, there was no pool. 100% smoke free building still smelt like smoke. There were burn holes in the bedding. The towels were stained yellow. There was no house keeping, had to go ask the front desk for toilet paper after being out all day.

Computer was frozen at check in but we were welcomed for a very late check in. Friendly staff.

Our room was on the ground floor, and opened directly to the parking lot (rather than a central interior hallway). The property does not allow smoking in the rooms, and other guests have clearly gone just outside their room to smoke. There was a strong marijuana smell outside that leaked into our room.
This room connects to the room beside it. We could easily hear conversations and noise from the adjoining room.
One of the bed frames squeaked very loudly whenever anyone turned over.
There was a very large cockroach near the bathroom sink, and a spider in the corner.
The bathroom fixtures were cleaned, but are old. The tub was missing the overflow drain cover, which made the room seem run down.
The free continental breakfast did not have much available when we visited around 7 a.m.

We have stayed at this hotel in 2024 and again in 2025. Both times our room was clean, staff was pleasant and welcoming. This hotel is perfect for a restful night at a reasonable cost. It is basic room/hotel with continental breakfast. Not many amenities like a pool or exercise room but we don't need that. If you are looking for a clean reasonable priced place to stay this would be it.

We thought it would be fine for a quick 1 night stay but we would never stay here again. As soon as we walked into our room we didn’t want our bags touching any surfaces. The room was not updated (expected and OK) but it was also not clean. We went ahead and stayed as we just needed somewhere to sleep and leave the next morning but took showers and washed our things as soon as we got home. Just had the icks the whole time.

It served its purpose. Nothing fancy.

The sheets and bed spread had dirt or stains on them so you were not sure if they were clean or not.
