A really nice boutique hotel with food options right on site and friendly, helpful staff. I absolutely loved that you could "adopt a fish" for your stay, I wish we had done that, such a good idea to have animal company while away from home. The hotel is situated in a prime spot, walkign distance to pretty much everywhere in town including restuarants, bars, spas, and shops.
We were celebrating our 55th anniversary at the Shaw. We have been to the shop numerous times because it is the best!
From the moment you still in know that you were going to be welcome and treat it with professionalism and friendliness. The show is elegant and spotlessly makes you feel like a princess and prince.
The restaurant is outstanding with the very best staff possible. The food is a delight.
The Shaw provides the best of everything.
The Shaw Club Hotel was excellent! The staff is very attentive and friendly, the accommodations are top of the line. We stay in Niagara on the Lake often, but this was our first time at the Shaw Club. We will certainly be back! Highly recommend.
Just back from a leadership retreat in Niagara-on-the-Lake - we stayed and worked at the Shaw Club Hotel. Service was excellent - felt more like a B&B than a hotel. Food was excellent and we also tried a couple of their sister restaurants which were also great. Very comfortable lounge for a small group to enjoy before or after dinner drinks. Location is perfect for the Shaw Festival or walking the downtown.
The Shaw Club is conveniently located across the street from the Shaw Theatre. We booked this room to stay overnight after a Sunday matinee performance. The room was very clean and nice. Beds comfortable and staff were first rate. They have a shuttle service to take you around the town that is a nice touch. Will definitely stay here again.
We’ve been coming to the Shaw Club for the last 6-7 years, for a brief holiday. Niagara on the Lake is almost always a great place to visit …..except when it’s in full tourist mode….and the Shaw is where we prefer to stay. It’s pleasant, clean, comfortable and the staff is always cheerful and welcoming. The restaurant is a treat as well.
We prefer going during the border to high season as that’s when a fireplace and a jacuzzi tub are especially appreciated. We were there in mid -November and are planning to return early next year. We highly recommend it to friends and family…..and even to anyone who would ask our opinion.
I highly recommend staying at the Shaw Club. The price for the stay was fair compared to other hotels in the area. The staff is very friendly and provides excellent service. The Shaw club’s rooms are large, comfortable and very clean. Lastly, the location is excellent as it is walking distance from the main street. I have stayed here multiple times and would not hesitate to return again for future stays.
We booked a Deluxe king with jetted tub for 2 nights for our 30th anniversary. We really enjoyed the location of the hotel (walkable to the shops, restaurants) and parking (which is otherwise $ downtown). The staff are very warm, welcoming and helpful at both the desk and the restaurant. The included breakfast in the Zee restaurant with the "Harvest package" was fantastic. Were given 2 macaroon on checkin which I thought was a cute touch. We did find the room extremely small, and closed in feeling. We were given a room at the back of the building facing the parking lot with a very small window which contributed to the feeling of smallness (very unlike the stock photos on the website of large windows with 2 chairs in front, we only had 1 tiny chair in the corner. The bathroom was quite nice with a separate shower and a large beautiful jetted tub (we had issues with the jets but quickly resolved by staff). Though we enjoyed our stay and really liked the location might try another property next time. It did not feel luxurious for the price (though I do realize this is a tourist area, higher price point that I am accustomed to) and I feel the room did not match the website photos. Carpet is older and wallpaper peeling in a few areas. But the staff really was fantastic. Though positives are fantastic staff and location, I would just ensure you request/book a room at the front of the building.
Yes
Friendly and helpful staff. Convenient location.
The Shaw Club is a lovely hotel. The room was gorgeous and comfortable. We had dinner in their restaurant (Zee's) and the food was of a very high quality. I will definitely go back.to this hotel
We have stayed at the Shaw Club Hotel for many years and will continue for hopefully many more years. The staff is so welcoming it feels like coming home. The dining room is exceptional in delicious choices for breakfasts and dinners. The rooms are perfect and every amenity is available.
We had a great stay at the Shaw Club Hotel. The staff was very kind and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this hotel!
Nice room, god location
Great place to stay right in the heart of Niagara on the lake!
Our first time to Niagara on the Lake and Shaw Club Hotel - Fabulous food, hospitality and service... We will be returning.
Wonderful location, pleasant staff, spotlessly clean
We have been going for our Anniversary every year in September. Never disappointed, very clean, the restaurant and service was amazing. See you next year!!!
Upon greeting at the lobby we were handed over the keys from a young lady like it was a motel 8. No friendliness or info about the hotel or the amenities.
The washroom was untouched from likely the 90's, old toilet, shower didn't even drain properly and room looked dated, tired and dark. Not worth the premium rate charge.
Check-in was easy and the staff were courteous and friendly. The hotel lobby was very pleasant and well decorated. Our room was in an annexe building attached to the hotel. The entrance was through a door from the car park, and we then had to negotiate a steep flight of stairs with our luggage, which was quite a feat. The room was pleasant enough, but strangely had a quite dated looking jacuzzi in the corner of the bedroom. The bathroom, with shower and toilet, was quite small, and needed some updating. Maybe more space could be utilised, by losing the jacuzzi and making the bathroom a little larger. The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet, and we slept very well. The hotel is situated in a very convenient location, with a large car park at the rear, next to the centre of the beautiful, picturesque town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, where there are lots of restaurants, bars and independent stores Would we stay here again? Yes, definitely in NOTL, but, sadly, not in this hotel. I think in it’s day, this property would have been ideal, but maybe it is living on it’s past reputation, rather than investing in more modern facilities for it’s guests. Just an opinion.
