We stayed here for 2 weeks Aug into September for our Honeymoon! We took our two year old and honestly the staff were fantastic. From the cleaners, to reception, to the entertainers! They never stopped and made such a fuss on the daily with our daughter. The restaurant staff were amazing!! Always walked our daughter to our table which she thought was great!
Anyone wanting to try the spa- go for a massage!! My god it was incredible and well worth £60!
The bar staff were also fantastic and even called our daughter “ice queen” as she always wanted ice cubes! After day 2 she never asked they just brought it to the table!

The rooms were well equipment, yes maybe not the most modern, but we loved the size of them, loved the fact we had a bath and also the flooring was laminate and not tiles which was a god send for a crazy two year old who is clumsy!

We spoke to a lot of people on the hotel who were frequent visitors of 5-10years!!

Yes its pricey but honestly its worth it!!

P.s take advantage of ala carte on the pool side! Wow that steak was incredible, so much so we maxed out all our visits in the same restaurant!!

First time to Cyprus. Christmas holiday. Was a truly wonderful experience. Everything about the holiday was truly amazing- staff very helpful & couldn't do enough, accommodation, food, entertainment was excellant. Topped off with glorious weather & wonderful location

Excellent hotel , without doubt one of the best hotels i've ever stayed in . The rooms were large with everything you could want for a comfortable stay, very clean and well maintained . The food was very varied , abundant and HOT ! The All Inclusive drinks package included branded spirits , wine , cocktails and beer which was exceptional but above all this praise the most wonderful thing about this hotel were the staff

we were very satisfied with our first time visit and will be coming back in the smmer to see the summer defference and love to use the out side pools. and defitetly come back for christmas and year again.

We booked this hotel after the hotel we normally book was closed for refurbishment, along with a few other groups of people who we had met in the previous hotel.
The first few days I was unfairly comparing the two hotels, but overall we did enjoy our stay, but there were a few issues we did not like.

Pros
Elite check in process was good
A la Carte restaurants were really good, and the steaks are as good as any restaurant I've tried.
Staff were friendly
Fully stocked mini bar on arrival, with fruit, wine and we also had a bottle of champagne for our honeymoon.
Christmas Eve gala meal was really good

Special mention to Devi at the restaurants, Violetta at the bar, also Teona, Thomas and George.
Also to Jaspreet at the pool bar who was brilliant.

Cons
No bar stools, only table service, which is OK until the hotel is fully booked and there's not enough tables and chairs. Waiting time between drinks could easily be 20 minutes or so.
Couldn't get used to having to present a card everytime we wanted something.
New years eve gala meal was OK, but no celebration to countdown to midnight, no fireworks etc.
Entertainment during the day was poor, I appreciate the weather was bad but surely you'd have back-up plans for that, and evening entertainment was more like what you expect in your local pub.

Overall it was a relaxing time, we did enjoy ourselves, but left wanting more to be honest.
As we came to meet up with a group of people, we may be back again Christmas, but will depend what the majority want to do

I had a great time at this hotel. I had a glass of champagne at check in which always goes down well. I used the stream room and sauna every day as well as had a massage. I would like to thank A, the Supervisor in the Leda Restaurant for her good service. I was with a large group of friends who all enjoyed and will book to return.

Me, my husband and 4 children visited on the 31/12/2025 for 7 days. As we have twin Autistic girls and travel regularly I am always prepared well in advance with any destination/ hotel. The hotel on 1st glance looked amazing as we stepped was greated by a lovely concierge.We were Greated by reception in which told us our bar would be regularly stocked up with water everyday, plus other information. The lobby looked beautiful with Christmas decorations and a huge chandelier in the lobby, it looked a beautifully, clean hotel to bring our family. I had asked months in advance also a email directly to the hotel to ask for a quite room, as one of our children has to take medication to help her fall to sleep. We were taken to a lower floor, down the corridor in which looked dingy and unclean to our room. Rooms where dated , Dirty bath mats, wood peeling off the door and to make this worse we was place next to a busy road, also car park . The catering staff were fantastic and couldn't do enough especially Roni whom really looked after us, such a lovely kind young man. He was extremely attentive and understanding towards our Autistic daughter, he kept on the ball serving and keeping us well looked after. The food at the beginning was amazing such a choice, but at this time it was new years, obviously trying to impress the other customers ( other countries) that where staying here. As by day 4 of our holiday the food choice was literally left over food, very little choice to the point my children didnt eat !!!!! And asking the manager for somethingfor my child to eat way way too much of an effort for them. This was brought to the attention of the manager of the hotel who again didnt seam too bothered 🙄 I managed to get him to send 2 pizzas up to the room, this was a slap in the face as both pizzas were covered in olives . When I say olives they were thrown all over,so they were left as my children wouldn't touch them. I had put a complaint in to the manager about the poor option/ lack of food for my children. It has seamed as we were the last guests ( mainly English) he didnt care, this came across discrimination with another guest whom also complained. So even though we paid out of our nose for the same continuous service like every other couture, we were give a different service after day 4 when they went home and we stay for the duration of our holiday. Most guest were extremely rude constantly staring at my children, this made us feel uneasy. So I wouldn't recommend going if you have a disabled child. My husband had to ring twice late new years eve as kids were running up and down the corridor knocking and shouting ( again not British children) the hotel didnt do anything. So if you want to be discriminated by being British or having a disabled children, its not a place for you !!!
Absolutely gutted as we had high hopes.

The staff make this hotel the best place on earth. All the customers want to come back. The entertainment is round the clock, pilates and stretch classes, dance lessons, singers, dancers and afternoon teas. The food is mouth watering, the waiters are polite and efficient. Reception staff cannot do enough to make you comfortable. The hotel itself is exceptionally well presented and maintained, but the staff are just incredible.

Wish I could stay longer, greeted with warm smiles from all staff day in and day out. The food is amazing, the selection and taste is unbelievable and can not compare. Each night is greeted with diffident forms of entertainment, so there is something special for everybody.

The Dance programm was perfect, Jeannette and Jeremy were super teachers, it was a lot of fun and i love visit the Dance sessions

We booked a 9-night stay. During one visit to the swimming pool, a young girl made a rude gesture toward me (showing her middle finger) and laughed directly in my face, completely unprovoked. I felt this behavior was related to my Asian background, which was upsetting and uncomfortable.
I immediately went to the front desk, where a staff member (an Indian gentleman, unfortunately I did not get his name) helped me with great professionalism and kindness. He clearly stated that racism is not tolerated at the hotel and made an effort to locate the person involved. When she could not be found, he personally escorted me to the General Manager, Mr. Antonis Tsagkarakis. Mr. Tsagkarakis listened to me patiently, took my concerns seriously, and sincerely apologized. His response made me feel respected and supported. What impressed me even more was his continued care over the following days — he greeted me regularly, asked if everything was okay, and made sure I felt safe and comfortable. Most remarkably, he even went to the swimming pool himself and stayed there for about 30 minutes to ensure that no such behavior happened again. This level of responsibility and empathy is truly rare.
I would also like to mention another incident: my 6-year-old child almost drowned in the pool, and staff member MD Masud reacted immediately. He noticed the situation even before I did and helped my child very quickly. His fast response may have prevented a serious accident. These staff members are the true reason this hotel succeeds. Their professionalism, humanity, and genuine care made a huge difference to our stay.
If you are visiting Paphos, I strongly recommend choosing Athena Beach Hotel — not only for the facilities, but for the people who truly stand behind their guests.

We have just come back from a week at Xmas and this hotel is exceptional. The decorations were stunning, as were the staff. We really could not find fault anywhere and we were truly spoilt and are looking to return in February. The staff across every aspect of the team (from housekeeping, reception and the food and all of the team are brilliant). Just a lovely experience all round! I felt like we left with new friends in the staff as they were so lovely :)

Beautiful location, however rocky. Staff exceptional and a friendly atmosphere throughout hotel. Rooms ok but need a total refurbishment (believe this is being undertaken this month). Extremely good value when you upgrade to elite class.

We have had the best time here for new year the staff are so friendly smile and seem happy people . The food was amazing we upgraded our room direct with the hotel couple weeks before for extra 20 euros a night . The good thing with this is you can use the Italian restaurant as much as you want to . Room is good maybe few more pictures bathroom was tired shower head was hanging we will be back for sure loved it weather has been hit and miss over new year

This was the 4th time Edgar and I have stayed at this hotel for Christmas, it was also our honeymoon, everything about it is exceptional. We would like to like to express our thanks to Mr Yannis, Sanjev, Violetta and Pooja who made our holiday so special. They are all hardworking people and went over and above to provide us with a service which was exceptional in every way. Thank you all so much. Excellent stay for New year.
The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas.
All the staff are excellent, very attentive and professional. Great intro to the hotel when checking in with Kitty. Superb room on the 4th floor overlooking the pools and the beach. I loved hearing the sea every night … even when it got quite stormy!
The room was very well fitted out, with everything you need.
I enjoyed dining in the à la carte restaurants, the main buffet restaurant felt a bit frantic at times - but the food was varied, hot and plentiful. Always something for all tastes available.

Just had 2 weeks at athena beech over Xmas and it was fantastic, 5th time we've been here and wouldn't think of going anywhere else, from top to bottom every one of the staff are exceptional. Food, drinks, rooms are 10 out of 10 so wishing all the staff A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR hope to see you all in 2026. Ken and Dee UK

My second visit, it will not be my last. The staff are 100% Brill. the hotel is lovely, clean and well run. Just acouple of niggles the WI- FI in not just my room, was not working.I didd reprort it but nothing happened and no explanation as to why it was down. It was perfect on my last visit!. One othe thing, I found some of the food was a bit repeative. However, it was very good food, wholesome and well presented and cooked. This is not a moan!, I am just trying to be honest from my point of view and this should "never influence" any one else from not staying at the Athena Beach. The hotel rooms are equiped with every thing one could ever need. The Athena Beach is one of my three best hotels to vist. All the hotel team are the best, I thank them for making my hollidfay such a happy one...
