Avicenna Hotel - Special Class

The place is close to many local attractions, muzeums, squares, parks, and winding streets with historical buildings, and Byzantine walls and ruins. Tgere are a lot of restaurants and shops here, too. Yet, many looked tourist traps to me: the quality was good, but you would get better deals, if you went farther to the north-east, or even visit the Asian part.The vicinity of the Murmur sea, seaside views, and the trail to Eminönü is another advantage. We explored the majority of those sites and attractions on foot. Daily breakfast options at the hotel were diverse and tasty under Zalifeh's supervision. The rooms are rather small, a little worn, but are cleaned daily -- sufficient to spend the night-time. Aziz's keen sense of humour kept everyone energized and in good mood. The staff are very hospitable, polite, and eager to provide assistance. Aziz and hotel manager, Elif, helped a lot in communication when the transfer company failed to arrive at the proper location.

I especially liked how convenient the Hotel was to the major sites in Istanbul. The Staff was always friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing. And the view from the restaurant for dinner was incredible.

Overall I like the place-view from Terrace is amazing! Spend your evening in romantic atmosphere of charming breeze from the sea,music and good food!
But rooms haven’t been renovated for long time,the standard rooms are very small,bathrooms are very cramped. The beds were very uncomfortable and small
But everything compensate with nice staff,good breakfast and location-5min away from beautiful square with mosques.

Had a lovley stay here, reception staff so friendly and approachable, went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and were catered for. The location is very good, not far at all from many restaurants and amenities.

The property has a beautiful architecture, furniture and excellent location! Also, the restaurant is very nice, elegant, good food for fair price and has an amazing view! The staff are all supportive and kind! Especially the breakfast staff and very gentle Inhaim who assisted me with taxi and always works with a big smile! Unfortunately, the facilities are not very good. When I got there, my vault was broken, the air conditioner had no remote and the room was a little warm. When you open the window which couldn't be open more than 45°, the noise outside invaded the room and was not efficient enough. Also, the shower was weak, hard to fix a pleasant temperature and the stand broken. And the tv remote wasn't working and after they fix it, the sign went out and didn't come back for a couple of days. The very helpful staff sorted out a new control for the air conditioner on my 2nd night. I conclude it's a hotel with potential, but they need to be more careful with details and maintenance.

Although I rank Avicenna a s a good hotel, it is not suitable for the elderly unless they are assured of a room on the ground floor as there are no lifts.

Really dirty and horrible hotel. Would not recommend to use this hotel for pets let alone for human beings.

We stayed at 4 hotels in Türkiye due to travel and Avecinna was by far the best. The breakfast’s were delicious and well presented. The front desk was helpful, kind, and accommodating. The concierge by the name of Bilal was especially helpful and extended himself far beyond what was expected. We thank Avicenna for a delightful stay.

This is now my third time at this hotel and it’s huge attraction is its situation so close to to the historical centre. As I get older I regret that it has no lift, but in all other respects it met my needs very well.

Hotel is not clean and dusty we have checked in and went to the room was no clean at all so we had to request to change our room second is that okay but it was not clean.
I would not go back to this hotel again and I wouldn’t recommend

We stayed one night and it happened to be a Saturday night. They did not inform us that there will be live music in the evening in the restaurant just above our room. The noise was unbearable. They finished at 12 o clock midnight and then started the cleaning process which included dragging tables and chairs and the sorting out of glasses and plates, which made an additional two hours of noise, so at 2 a.m we could successfully fall asleep. We had to check out early next morning, so the whole experience was unpleasant and stressful. The staff was polite and helpful, breakfast was good too. The bed sheet is a bit too small for two people. It got cold in the middle of the night and we found out that there was no no additional blanket. The air conditioner had no battery so we couldn’t use it either.
