Absoluteley appalling wouldnt let us in arrived at midnight and was told no check in after8pm witch i knew nothing about wouldnt give a refund or help us at all totally digusting do not use them horrific had to find another hotel and pay to stay

Très bon rapport qualité - prix.
L’emplacement est idéal, proche tous commerces sans être dans une rue animée et bruyante. Les seuls bruits gênants provenants de la clientèle pas toujours respectueuse et mauvaise insonorisation.
Proche plage également.
Personnel sympathique et les chambres sont nettoyées chaque jour.

Fantastic location

Si vous ne voulez pas payer une caution de 250 euros en espèce fuyez !!!La chambre était sale vieillotte avec vue sur le personnel n’était pas aimable.La piscine tout juste un bassin de 1/2 m.Hotel d’un autre âge
Seul le parking était correct.

Very close to everything, staff was good. Food in the area was wonderful and very close to the beach

We had a lovely stay here, we were sceptical at first giving the 250 security deposit but we had no issues getting this back. We stayed for 4 nights and loved the location it really is amazing. Apartments basic but clean does the job just fine!! The staff were friendly unfortunately my son lost his teddy monkey and the hotel staff were very helpful. We will be back.

Property looked great online, unfortunately this is not the case.
Beds and mattresses needs renewed, kitchen is in poor state, bathroom is ok just extremely small. One staff member on at a time, that doesn't do much. Cleaning is definitely not a strong point. Well never be back. Also hidden deposit required upon check in, yes you get it back but it was a surprise

Quirky pool & roof terrace, terrible rooms

I wish I could have rated this hotel a ZERO. Seriously. This place is a scam. I have no idea how they are still in business. I wish I would have read all these posted reviews before making my reservation. They asked for a 250 Euro deposit upon our arrival and our room was already pre-paid, so what could we do.

The room looked nothing like what was advertised to us. It was dark, the air conditioning did not work and it smelled unclean and musty. We were told that we were too noisy and they refused to give us our deposit back. This place is a scam and a fraud. There are 100´s of other better places to stay in Albufeira I´m sure. Be warned of staying here as it ruined our vacation.

Employees are some crack , cleaners are dacent , rooms are spacious would recommend to all . Pool is big and relaxing but a bit deep in parts. Hotel mascot Shane turned into a seagull off his head . There’s a bra curse in rooms number 8 and 20 but sure hey that’s thurles for ya . shanawho

A room was reserved for three people one month prior to our arrival. The condition of the building/room was an eye opener because it was nothing like the photos that are featured on Bookings.com.
We asked to see the room before we paid 250 euros in cash because something didn't feel right about the place. The room we were shown had no electricity and the air conditioner was broken. When I turned on the water faucet in the bathroom, rusty water poured out for a good two minutes. The atmosphere in the room was dark and dingy. We opted to find another place to stay.
Please look elsewhere when finding a room. This hotel was such a disappointment. There are many better places to stay in Albufeira.

Fraud! Fraud! Fraud! This place is a scam! Don't stay here! It should have been rated a zero instead of an 1 star.

We prepared for this hotel for a 3 day stay and they wanted $250 more in cash (not a credit card). The rooms were disgusting and nasty. I turned on the water in the bathroom sink and rust came out. The hotel manager became very aggressive towards us so we left.

I highly recommend NOT TO STAY AT THIS PLACE!! It's DISGUSTING!

On Thursday, June 12th, the three of us arrived at the Regina Hotel in Albufeira, Algarve. I had already reserved and paid for this room for the three of us over a month ago. We presented a voucher for the room as pre-paid.

Upon our arrival, we went up to the top floor where check-in was located. I presented the pre-paid voucher to the man behind the check-in desk. He could barely speak English but he found our reservation with the voucher I gave to him.

He immediately said we had to give him a €250.00 security deposit, in cash. I instantly thought this was a big problem as he said it "had to be in cash" and not credit card, where I have sometimes had to do before, but never anything close to that amount. So, I asked him if I could see the room that was reserved for us. Thank God I did that because when he took us to the reserved room on the ground floor (Room 1), he opened the door for the three of us and I was stunned that it looked absolutely nothing like the pictures I had reviewed while making the booking. The beds looked like they had 30 year old sheets and covers on them, the air-conditioning didn't work, the TV did not work, and I found out later that my friend turned on the water faucet and orange rust came out and it was brown colored.

We went back upstairs to the 4th floor at the check in desk and my friends and I decided that there was no way we were going to stay there. So, being that I had already paid for the room, I called my travel agent and discussed my issue. I was told at the time there was no way we were going to get a refund at that exact moment. While speaking with her, she asked me to give the phone to the check-in agent who spoke Portuguese. When the phone was handed back to me, my agent suggested that I get pictures of the room and just find another place on Airbnb or Booking.com and that she would file a complaint.

So, I asked the check-in guy to take us back to the room to "look at it" again and I think he knew we were going to take pictures and just leave. So, he said, "only one person" could go down again but all three of us went. When we arrived on the first floor, he opened the door to a completely different room, Room 2, but I could tell it was in the same horrific condition as the first one he showed us.

After taking one step past the door, into the room, I raised my phone to start taking pictures. He put his hand up, covering my phone and said, "no pictures, NO PICTURES!! I told him I already paid for the room and asked why there was a problem taking pictures?? He shoved me in my chest with his hand and screamed at the top of his lungs, "GET OUT!". I said to him, "Do not touch me, Do not touch me". My friends were there to witness this and so was an English speaking Regina Hotel maintenance worker. He reached back, clinched his fist like he was going to punch me and I once again said, "Do not touch me". He screamed a 2nd and 3rd time, "GET OUT, GET OUT!!!". He said I am calling the police. I said, go ahead, because legally we had already paid for the room and had done absolutely nothing wrong.

At this point, my friends and I had already made reservations at another hotel in the vicinity so we knew we were just going to leave. I not able to get pictures because his hands covered my phone and he was pushing me out. We were in total disbelief how we were treated, and in fact, that day happened to be my birthday.

On the drive to the other hotel, we started reading the reviews for Regina Hotel on Tripadvisor.com. The reviews were all similar horror stories to ours: Fraud, Uncleanliness, Rude, Rip-off, etc. Thank God I did not give him the €250.00 as I read that others had been duped.

I believe this hotel should not be in business and I believe I should be fully refunded. This experience was horrible, but thankfully, the room we found was so much better.

This place is a scam me and my friends were kicked out of our rooms for no reason the managers squared up to us and held us in the hotel and refused to let us leave and made us pay a further 380 on top of our 250 euro damage deposit for minor damages to the bed supports and then called the police on us. In total we lost 750 euro for deposits on 3 rooms and fines of 380 for damages for minor damages to one bed frame do not book this place read the other reviews

The hotel is brilliant. Friendly staff everything to make your stay great. Expedia the booking agents, on the other hand are totally unhelpful.
