Welcome to Nerja! What a place to pick for a relaxing holiday, with almost 360 degrees of view! Enjoy the sunrise from your private balcony, with a pair of sunloungers and outside shower. Views spanning from the mountain range to the north, down the hillside over the beautiful town. A spacious room with a nice bathroom. The room entry door faces the pool, and another great balcony overlooking the rest of the town below. Directly across from a supermarket, you will find great produce to stock your fridge. An easy walk into the town square for access to the beaches and local sights. It is a visual feast , and a relaxing atmosphere. Nerja is certainly the place to recharge. Hotel Los Arcos is a comfortable place to choose for your stay, making a great base for activities and sightseeing tours. Consider booking your stay, and enjoy the lifestyle.
Lovely hotel, think they could offer a local taxi number as very steep walk back and forth to beach, uber was quoting €20 but local firm which we found on last day was €6!!
Nothing unique. Pool ok. Breakfast and coffee service below par. Staff surly. Not a happy experience.
Where do you start, firstly the bedroom suppose to have been a superior room but hardly that, lacking essential items biggest being no dressing table with mirror or chair for the wife who had to take a chair from the patio and sit in front of the mirrored wardrobe not ideal as theres plenty of room to add one,no bin in the room just a tiny pedal bin in the bathroom speaking of which was very basic not ideal when sitting on the throne right by the door if someone came in they'd have you kneecaps off, then there were the Ants everywhere in the room including in the bed, sofa & bathroom, outside the sunbeds were very uncomfortable the outside light casing was broken all in all not good & like a lot of reviews on here the breakfast was awful even had Ants in the squash machine, the only reason for 2 stars the staff were great & the outside area was good,to be honest the whole place needs some major TLC,needless to say we won't be returning.
Great stay
Fabulous hidden gem with excellent breakfast, spacious clean room with large private balconies. 25min walk into town...but that was fine. Highly recommended
This hotel has so much potential just needs to invest in staff training, updating the bar and furniture and sorting out the very below standard breakfast. In many respects you would be better off being room only and going to the supermarket next door.
Reception staff need some customer services training. If the hotel is wanting English clients ensure staff can communicate in English.
Rosa was the most productive of all of the staff, worked hard, smiled and was very friendly, dealt with a couple of minor issues very effectively.
Breakfast poor selection of food, worst scrambled eggs ever, cheese ran out daily, fruit often mouldy, fruit juice diluted, cold items kept in an upright fridge difficult to serve yourselves balancing a bowl of cereal in one had and trying to pour milk.
A little imagination would have turned a chaotic breakfast into a pleasant start to the day. Owner please look at your reviews and make an effort to address please.
Room was big, very clean and very quiet 101. Well done housekeeping.
My wife and I enjoyed our week even though the weather was a little unkind.
The walk into town was down hill which meant an uphill walk home although a taxi was only 6euros.
Swimming poor was freezing, the sea seemed warmer.
We were there during off season and it was delightful. The pool was open as was the restaurant in the evenings. The staff made it wonderful. So accommodate and friendly. Very convenient location.
Nice terrace
Lols Arcos is a great place to stay when in Nerja
The hotel is small so not hoards of people all trying to get breakfast, sunbeds etc
It is immaculately clean and the beds and pillows are the most comfortable we have ever had staying in a hotel.
Breakfast is simple but it is enough and there is a good selection for all tastes. All the staff are extremely friendly and helpful
Rooms are cleaned every day and towels changed every other day.
We seemed to be the only English couple in the hotel which is fine except the TV has nothing in English to watch (if you decide to laze about in the room)
Town is approximately 30-40 mins walk so bear this in mind before book if you have mobility issues. All in all a great place to stay and use as a base
We always stay at Los Arcos when visiting Nerja, normally twice per annum.
Large rooms, good swimming pool. Friendly personnel.
Great self service breakfast from 08.00 to 11.00hrs, so no rush in the morning!
Parking at the door.
Small bar, conservatory and garden.
Offers good value for money with breakfast included in the rates.
On this occasion, first impressions here, are not what to go by. This a really decent hotel and you will be very well looked after. there is a swimming pool. The bathroom was a tad on the small side, but all in all ok. Beware the dragon in the restaurant next door! Dare to take your ‘Happy Hour drinks in there and you’re greeted with,’no, you cant bring those in here’ rather than “ Good Evening” with an apology and explanation. Having said all this, the food was very good. Because of the rotten welcome wed had, we only bought water between two of us, rather than wine, so they shot themselves in the foot with their attitude.
Our flight was delayed leaving the UK, so everything was delayed. We knew the hotel reception was due to close at 23:00 and we thought we might be right up against it, so rang Hotel Los Arcos as soon as we had collected our bags to let them know the situation and again once we were on the road.
They were great!
A lovely lady named Rosa was very helpful, her English was very good so we could confirm an approximate time of our arrival. They were waiting for us and even made time so that we could have a drink.
The staff overall were great, friendly and efficient and very hard working.
Our room was clean, the beds very comfortable, there was a fridge and safe for our use and our bathroom had a lovely walk-in shower with fresh towels when we needed them.
From the balcony, we had a sea view one way and the mountains the other.
The hotel swimming pool was almost right outside our door, we didn't use it, but it was there.
Breakfast was a very generous buffet with a choice to suit every taste.
We had a couple of meals in the restaurant and would recommend it. The food was excellent and it was fairly priced.
Would I recommend Hotel Los Arcos? Yes.
Would I stay there again? Absolutely.
Excellent 👍
Perfect
Check-in was lumpy. Only one person in reception and bar and it was happy hour. Promised free drink on arrival did not happen. Main parking lot is very small and usually full.
No restaurants or bars, other than hotel, in the immediate area and “el Centro” is a significant walk. Do not rely on taxis in Nerja they are few and far between and they just don’t care.
Awesome room for a family of three! It was huge and my daughter had her own bed on a pullout sofa. We had a spacious patio with a table and chairs as well as two lounge chairs. Partial sea view from our room on the ground floor, if you are on a higher floor you could see more. Breakfast was included and had a decent amount of options.
Booked a double room with single bed. Got a twin room instead. Was told I had to pay extra to get a double bed/upgrade room.
Not really acceptable when you expect to get what you pay for
We stayed the same two weeks as last year and again booked a "superior" room via Easyjet holidays as a package. Last year we were allocated room 112 which WAS a "superior" room with a lovely patio and peaceful, we really enjoyed our fortnight but after rebooking on the same terms this year we had a very "superior" noisy room 101 above the bar, reception and stairwell with serious road noise. It was quite expensive just to pay for having your own sunloungers on a small patio as other standard rooms would have been much quieter and in a better position in the hotel.
PLUS POINTS:- handy for the supermarket/kettle/mini fridge/happy hour 5pm - 9pm (half price on some drinks) hairdryer/black out curtains.
NOT SO PLUS POINTS:- one tea bag, one sugar sachet and one portion of milk per person per day/NO coffee/very hard pillows (had to use a cushion with pillow case over)/fridge in a cupboard and we had to leave the door open as the cabinet got very warm/no pool towels provided, we had to buy two (they were provided last year)/uncomfortable sun loungers, no cushions/no English TV at all/very poor breakfast, staff on breakfast had to wash pots, cutlery by hand in the bar to replenish dining room/basic housekeeping done on daily basis.
There are lovely bars/restaurants a steep walk down to Burriana beach but worth it. Walk 10 mins on the main road to the outskirts of Nerja many places to eat and drink (local bar frequently offer a plate of tapas with your drink) It would be about 25 mins to the Balcon in the centre. Never really got to grips with the bus service though. The small village of Maro near the caves (the opposite way than Nerja centre) 30 mins walk is worth visiting, the road down to the beach there is steep but there is a bar/restaurant there.
We will probably return to Nerja but this years experience has closed the door on Los Arcos for us, maybe we were just unlucky this year, but setting aside our disappointment with our "superior" room everything seems to be done on a budget.
Perfect!Room was gorgeous, and very spacious with a large balcony with loungers and table with two chairs. Room faced the gorgeous swimming area and pool.restaurant was excellent and great value! Long happy hour! Very extensive breakfast included ! Staff were all very polite and helpful. Highly recommend it. About 1mile walk to Balcón or 5 mins taxi ride. Great !
