Lovely clean hotel, very friendly staff. Bedrooms could have a bit more storage for your clothes. Plenty of towels in the bathroom. Food was delicious, especially the chefs Cowboy Butter and his Red Velvet Cake was mouth watering. Would definitely stay here again.
The seating area in the lounge is the dirtiest I have ever seen also the carpet will not be back to such a dirty hotel
We stayed for 8 nights and every aspect of our stay was excellent. Room was very clean and large, breakfast was excellent, meals and afternoon tea were fabulous. However the greatest asset of this hotel must be the staff. The welcome and service we were given was supreme. Thank you and we are so looking forward to returning.
We arrived on Thursday afternoon and checked in the guy on reception was very efficient and helpful. Our rooms were spotless and had everything we needed. We went for dinner in bar it was absolutely lovely. The waiter told us there was bingo later .So we decided to go as my friend had never played it .Guess what I won 40 euros. Throughly enjoyed it.Next day we just took a look in Dunes Store and relaxed the rest of the day.Had another beautiful meal that evening. Would recommend Station House Hotel as staff all amazing Hotel is so handy to shops and absolutely amazing food.Be back soon.
Staff were wonderful nothing was 2 much trouble food excellent plenty choice rooms very clean and roomy entertainment was gd bingo good fun would highly recommend this hotel central to shops etc dunns stores just across the road we had a joining rooms was gd as my friend was unwell and I was able to c she was k when she needed anything
A clean and well maintained hotel. Scandinavian style design. Comfortable bed.
No shower gel in the bathroom, just some noname shampoo in a dispenser, so bring your own.
No air condition (!) They have a heating though for winter months.
Free parking, there's a retail park across the road with Lidl/McDonalds and a few other other stores.
Reasonably priced restaurant downstairs - portions are huge and quite tasty!
Function under our room, stayed with babies . No sleep. Very bad overall. They should let people know when selling rooms that a noisy function room straight under their room
This was our third visit to The Station House Hotel.and nothing has changed, it still has the same friendly atmosphere, the rooms are spotless and the staff are fantastic nothing is too much trouble. We had 2 beautiful meals in the bar/restaurant. The breakfast is all you can eat which consists of cereals yogurts various fruits and juice,s you can also have a fry up as well. There is entertainment on a Saturday night. The Hotel has a free car park which is a bonus. I wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel again when visiting Letterkenny and would highly recommend it to others.
Staying here tonight with kids. Rang reception at 22:15 because of loud music can't sleep. They said there is a function in the hotel. When I questinod why we were not informed when booked the accomodation the receptionist said She told us when we checked in. When i mentioned that nobody informed us She just repeated the same that She said to us. Literally made me feel that i am liar. I would not book family room here if I know there is a function straight under our room.
1ST the staff absolutely fantastic
So friendly and professional.
The room absolutely best night sleep in a long time. So clean n fresh. The reception girl didn't get her name but she did have blue in her hair, such a lovely girl. Will most definitely be back. Thank you.
Overall the experience was very good, staff, service, location and dining.
However the very large window in our room was moving significantly during a very stormy first night of our stay. I spoke to reception but no one came to the room to check. The window frame creaked and groaned all night. The second night was a bit better but as it was windy on the third night, the noise was so distracting, i got very little sleep again.
Very coean, good breakfast, felt safe and warm during storm amy
2/3 star at best - excellent reception staff .
The staff and service are excellent.Family feel to this hotel(very homely)
Great location.
Lucas and his team are very friendly and professional.
The hotel is a standard town hotel, nothing much to complain about, it was clean, the staff were friendly especially at breakfast, and it has the added benefit of parking.
The food on the other hand is average, we ate in the restaurant on our first night, it was disappointing and just above average, breakfast was ample but could have been warmer, luck warm in the main.
Would I go back, probably yes but would avoid the restaurant in the evening.

This hotel was selected as part of a holiday package with Newmarket holidays. The room was spacious and comfortable but the location being next to a busy road meant we couldn't have a window open at night so we asked for and given a fan. However our nights were still disturbed by noisy guests and once when at 3am we were woken by drunken singing somewhere in the hotel reception wouldn't answer so we had no choice but to put up with the singing.
The worst experience for us concerned the group dining where 3 outbof four of the main courses offered were either meat or fish and two veg, with one of the veg being mashed potato. Chips were offered upon request but the quality was poor. Dessert just consisted of one choice and no vegetation or special dietary options were offered.
Stayed here for two nights - the staff are very welcoming and friendly with the exception of the owners/managers. Reminded me forcefully before breakfast that it was not paid for and when I did pay - no eye contact - no chat. maybe learn a lesson from their friendly staff about hospitality. The rooms were very clean and the food in the restaurant was excellent . However , the breakfast was freezing cold on both mornings- no eggs - no beans. It would seem they cater for coach tours and go all out to serve breakfast for them at 730am. we came down at 930 1st morning breakfast inedible. made a point of coming down at 830 the following morning- no eggs and food slightly warmer. Disappointing.
Really great stay, lovely and helpful staff and wonderful room
As a regular visitor to the Depot bar in the Station House, they've always excelled in quality and service. Lucas and his team go the extra mile, the food is amazing and we've never left disappointed. Highly recommend to locals and visitors.
