Uniques, clean, friendly

Beautiful Spanish style decor graces the entire building. The kitchen had a full refrigerator and amenities for preparing meals. It is just a block from the beach and cafes in this small beach town. The happy hours, breakfasts, and pies were amazing. We had some wonderful conversations with other guests. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Overall, a fantastic getaway.

We love La Fonda. It’s cozy, nice big rooms, and the hotel staff are very friendly. The breakfast, nachos with Pacifico beer, afternoon wine are a treat and create a social environment for meeting other guests.

Beautiful, clean property just a block from the beach, with an Mediterranean villa vibe. Friendly staff, complimentary snacks and drinks during reception hours 3 times a day, free loans of beach chairs and movies. The room was furnished with a two-headed shower and a Jacuzzi tub. A gift basket of snacks was also provided with the room, and a departure gift of a coaster tile that matched the hotel tile décor was received on check out. Hotel was quiet, as was most of the surrounding town. Parking was in a basement lot, and was a short flight of stairs or elevator ride from main floors.
Avila Beach is pretty, and great for relaxing in a beach chair, taking a beach or pier walk, or enjoying the surf.

The hotel staff was great! And great location

I brought my sister to Avila La Fonda for her birthday. It was her first time in Avila Beach and at La Fonda.
She loved everything about the hotel, the room was beautiful, the hospitality of the staff was awesome and the location to the beach and restaurants was the cherry on top. She will definitely be back with friends. And of course I will always keep coming back!

Me and my daughter stayed at your hotel for a full six days in July. We had the time of our life and it was excellent service. The staff is very professional and extremely courteous and helpful at all times. This is the hotel my one daughter and I come to every year at least once. Now it looks like it will be every year with all three of us coming for a week. Thank you so much again for the stay we had at your hotel. You are the best and we give you great accolades to everyone we meet.

We had a wonderful stay. The property was in excellent shape and the staff made us feel welcome. The relaxed atmosphere and accommodations provided by the hotel gave it feel like home.

We love everything about Avila La Fonda Hotel. Easy check in, great hospitality, rooms with balconies, near the beach, biking/hiking/walking trail nearby, golf and our wine club (Alapay) across the street. What’s not to like?!!

This was our 2nd visit, the previous about 10 years ago. The positive experience remembered from then still holds up. The location, staff, amenities, pie and welcoming atmosphere was an absolute delight. Looking forward to the next time.

Location is great

Our stay was amazing! One of the best places we have ever stayed. I loved how pampered and special we felt. With the free basket of goodies, the pie to top off the evening and morning breakfast. I was even more surprised at the truffles at the end of our stay to say thank you for staying. Every hotel should treat their guests as La Fonda does! Job well done.

It's quite upstairs. Nice decor. Close to the beach. There's restaurants close by. The beds are comfortable.
