Avila La Fonda Hotel

We have been staying here for almost 20 years and will stay another 20 years. Jay made us feel so welcomed from the minute we stepped into the lobby area until we checked out. Their amenities are amazing. I highly recommend you give Avila La Fonda a chance. You will not regret it.

This is a wonderful and welcoming place to visit The staff are very helpful and charming. They must be hired for their personality. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The amenities are over the top. A very special get away for celebrations and relaxation love it and will be back soon. Thank you for everything😍😍

Wonderful place! We always enjoy La Fonda. It is a fantastic spot in a great little town.

Truly a special place where each guest is treated like a VIP. I have also met the nicest people who are staying there also. There are many people who return year after year. I can easily understand why. It is only about two short blocks from a very walkable, beautiful beach. It is also conveniently located - an easy day drive (about 50 minutes) to Paso Robles/wine tasting or Cambria, a little less of a drive to Morro Bay, and only about 20 minutes to downtown San Luis Obispo and an even shorter drive to Pismo beach. There are also very good wineries in the area. I also just love relaxing in Avila Beach with a good choice of restaurants in walking distance.

We had a wonderful time at La Fonda. It was our first time visiting Avila Beach and it was amazing. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They have many fun gatherings through the day with many goodies. I highly recommend this hotel.

We love the La Fonda! It's centrally located, easy 1 block up to the ocean scene and all the shops. We so appreciate the build a Nacho Bar with complimentary beer at lunch hr, and a great Churcuteri lay out and complimentary wine at dinner hour! We also enjoy the Lynn's bakery Pie and ice cream at 8 PM. You guys go above and beyond to make us all feel at home.

The staff was awesome, they made sure i felt welcome. The hotel is clean with beautiful decor.

My husband and I were celebrating our 50th anniversary. We didn’t want a big party, we just wanted to go to one of our favorite places. La Fonda is the perfect place, location is great, the amenities are so good with wine or beer and delicious appetizers. The lobby is so inviting that you make friends while staying there.
Not the first time we’ve been there and won’t be the last.

This hotel is near and dear to us. We discovered it quite a few years ago by chance and it's beautiful. We just recently celebrated our 1 year anniversary and they were very accommodating. We will continue to celebrate anniversaries here.

We travel a lot staying in numerous hotels all ocean front. This was our first time in many years of not. Though Avila La Fonda isn’t ocean view or front, its location is parallel nonetheless. It is literally a 2 minute walk for us and we’re in our 70’s. We will be back in the future.

Best place to stay in Avila Beach. Wonderful staff. Great rooms. Nice happy hour snacks. Overall a 5 star experience.

We stayed here for two nights and had a wonderful time. The accommodations are superior. The amenities and friendly staff made our trip a real joy. Add to that, fresh baked croissants in the morning, salsa bar at noon, appetizers and wine at five, AND fresh baked pie and ice cream at night! Seriously, what's not to love? We will be back again and again!

Wonderful stay in king spa room for four nights! The staff always treated as with extreme kindness and generosity! Fantastic place for anniversary getaway!

My wife and I have been coming to la Fonda at Avila Beach for over six years to celebrate our anniversary. The staff, the accommodations and the food/wine is fantastic. The location is perfect and is only one block from the beach.
