The stay was wonderful. My wife and I have stayed here on multiple occasions and we have always truly enjoyed the stay. It is always a calm and relaxing environment.

We enjoy the charming decor, the quiet and the generous extras--happy hour, breakfast and treats in the room. Staff are always congenial and helpful.

We absolutely loved our stay at Avila La Fonda Hotel. A Fantastic location, being 1 block from the ocean, incredible customer service, and beautiful rooms.

Stayed one night, which was the last night of our Pacific Coast road trip. It was perfect; relaxing, cozy, refreshing, and all the staff we encountered were friendly and responsive.

We are locals and we come to La Fonda several times during the year just to get away. This time was to celebrate my birthday. It is our favorite place to stay on the coast and it is always fabulous. We cannot recommend it enough.

This is our second stay at Avila La Fonda Hotel. Loved our room, the excellent customer service, the downtown Avila location and proximity to other beach towns. Worth every penny!

This was our first time staying here. The staff made our Anniversary celebration unforgettable. All the amenities are first class. Definitely will be staying again.

We really enjoyed our one night stay at Avila La Fonda Hotel. We arrived in time for happy hour and had a much needed complimentary glass of wine and appetizers. Our room was spacious with a jacuzzi tub and balcony. The complimentary snack basket in the room was a nice touch, as was the croissant and coffee in the morning. We look forward to returning for a longer stay.

Great location. Walking distance to the ocean. Located in town near the shops and restaurants. Staff was great. The daily breakfast croissants, nachos hour, and fresh pie and ice cream were great.

Everything about this hotel has something to rave about! Great hotel and value! The room was amazing and the jet tub was the best thing to use after a long drive and night out!

Lovely hotel. So much care and attention to the necessities. The snacks and kitchen hors d'oeuvres were always right on time and appreciated. The rooms were perfect for two. And the tub was enjoyed.

LaFonda is a find! I stayed at the hotel while visiting friends in the area. What a delight! The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel’s lobby and kitchen area are welcoming and a great place to meet other guests and exchange stories and travel tips. LaFonda’s proximity to the beach is wonderful and the parking under the hotel is simple. I went on several exceptional hikes in the area and took a private two-hour kayaking tour on Morro Bay to see the wildlife. This was my first visit to LaFonda and Avila Beach, but it will not be my last! I will be back.

Another wonderful adventure at La Fonda. We've been coming every coupke months since june 2025. It's our favorite, romantic staycation. We just celebrated our 1st year anniversary & will continue to visit. 10 stars.

Great place. Only trwo suggestions. Put a wand sprayer in the shower as it is too small to allow the shower stream to rinse one's lower body. Second, you have plenmty of space in the room for king sixed beds. Us over 6 foot +200 lbs guys would sure be appreciative.

Avila Beach is our favorite getaway and we’ve never stayed anywhere but Avila La Fonda when we have visited. It is a boutique hotel with guest treats coming your way from morning until night! We enjoyed every minute and can’t wait to get back! Wonderful amenities, towels, toiletries and bedding were the best!

Very romantic room with spa and fireplace. Complementary snacks abound all day! Walk to beach and dining. Great midweek deals! Immaculate rooms and common areas. TV has recent movies. Immediate service upon calling front desk. Noise level is quiet. You do hear doors loudly closing when in your room but not enough to be annoyed. Overall a perfect getaway for 2 nights with your loved one.
