Avila La Fonda Hotel

The Avila La Fonda is a great place to stay. Stay is friendly, rooms are kept clean and it is a very relaxing place to stay. You can beat all of the amenities and the continual food items that are offered through out the day. My wife and I love to stay there.

We always feel so cared for when we visit! The staff goes above and beyond to meet our wants and need! We rally appreciate their efforts.

We spent two nights here as a getaway to celebrate an anniversary. The room was clean and well-appointed and the jetted tub was very nice. The hotel has complimentary light refreshments 3 times a day which was a nice bonus. They also gave a complimentary bottle of wine for our anniversary. The staff was welcoming and knowledgeable. Overall, a great experience.

Being less than 30 miles away, we were able to spend a night with very little upset. We’ve been at La Fonda before for our anniversary, and it was and is as relaxing, clean, beautifully decorated as before. We decided not to do the treats they offered throughout the day, but we decided to walk to Fat Cats at Port San Luis in Avila for breakfast. What a beautiful day. Spending the night at La Fonda just made the day that much more beautiful. We had a long morning before we left, and just enjoyed the location before we had to checkout. The staff at La Fonda are stellar and so nice to deal with. We will certainly be back.

I loved everything about the hotel. I purchased a birthday package for my husband. It was beyond my expectations. The ambience and the room was great forValentine’s Day and his birthday. I will definitely be coming back. We really enjoyed the hot tub and fireplace.

Really love the hotel. The staff was great love the croissants in the morning pie in the evening. Also, we were there to cure the Valentine’s Dayexperience, which was absolutely magical. My only concern was our showerhead was a little dirty and would preferred that have been clean, but my girlfriend used thebathtub the majority of the time everything else was absolutely immaculate.

This was the second time we have stayed here. The hotel is only 2 floors and only 2 blocks from the beach. Walking distance to restaurants and a short drive to more restaurants in Pismo Beach. The staff is very friendly. The hotel has many fun amenities. Give it a try.

I love all the extra amenities provided by the hotel. Everyone is always warm and hospitable. The only problem we encountered was our television was not working properly. Two receptionists tried to assist us two different times to no avail. Considering the fact that we rushed over to watch the Grammys and were unable to was really a bummer.

For our anniversary, my wife and I booked the Owner’s Suite during our stay in Avila Beach, and it was incredible. The spacious layout, thoughtful features, and excellent accessibility made it stand out. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, and plates for a night in, and the big-screen TVs in both rooms, along with surround sound in the living room, made movie nights extra special. The sauna and jetted hot tub added a luxurious touch. With two fireplaces, a beautiful four-poster king bed, leather couches with plenty of seating, two bathrooms, a grand entrance, and two balconies, this suite truly had it all. On top of that, throughout the day there were treats, pies, breakfast, and snacks available in the common room. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, and the location was within walking distance of the beach, bars, and restaurants. For a romantic getaway, this place is perfect—you won’t be disappointed.

I needed a retreat, a get away. This was the place. Topnotch staff, friendly vibes, delicious snacks. Cleanliness a 10!

The La Fonda is a beautiful location right off the Avila Beach strip.
Everyone was very nice- checking was smooth and they weee very helpful. Loved the free beach towels and chairs.
Most spectacular was the chocolate croissants in the am, noon time chips and salsa bar, evening wine and apps and I cannot forget to mention the pie!

I will mention Avila is more of a retirement community where the college kids come to play. Just an FYI.

Always a great stay. Nachos and beer at noon, wine in the early evening and pie al a mode at night. The rooms have a nice jacuzzi tub, coffee maker, microwave, DVD player with many movie to choose from and a basket full of snacks and drinks. It’s all the extras that make this lace what it is. The people are all very friendly. We live locally and stay quite often. We always go early and walk the Bob Jones trail, have some wine at Alapay or a beer at Locals taproom. We make a day/night out of it

My wife and I had an excellent stay at your beautiful hotel. Your decor is amazing and soothing. Your staff is helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the many amenities. We stayed in room 214 in January. The room felt warm and cozy. Your location to the beach is perfect. We definitely will visit again. Thank you for making our trip memorable.
