Gardens lovely and location near to Praia do Barril and Tavira excellent

I found the hotel and its staff first class. The hotel was set in beautiful grounds with an abundance of trees and flowers. My room were cleaned on a regular basis and was in pristine condition, it had a spacious balcony and cooking facilities; there was also a mini supermarket on-site.
I liked the location of the hotel which was within walking distance of a beautiful beach and quaint fishing village with seafront restraunts.
The hotel staff were warm and friendly, they were only too happy to assist with anything I needed. I would highly recommend this wonderful hotel and will definitely be back at some point. 🥰

A estadia correu muito bem e a casa está bem situada e bem equipada. Como a varanda está exposta ao sol penso que seria simpático um chapéu de sol para poder tomar o pequeno-almoço ou almoço na rua, ou simplesmente usufruir da mesma, mas à sombra. De resto nada a acrescentar.

Unbelievable rudeness of the manager from their restaurant!!! I never met such a horrible, disgusting person like him ! I had a problem with my phone and could not call the taxi to go to nearest town. The manager was the only one who had Uber app. I asked him to book me a ride and I will give him cash. First he said : “ uber sometimes charger more than they suppose to ! “
He said it with such haters that I am shrag.
Then he raised his voice at me : “ I have to work !!! I call you taxi !!!’ But I didn’t want to go by taxi as I only had a limited cash with me.
He would not even listen to what I was saying !
His behaviour was appalling as of he was a psychopath! I didn’t want to be in the same space with him and I left.

Entorno muy tranquilo y bonito. Buena atencion del personal. Cerca de la playa del Barril, que es casi virgen, y del pueblo de Santa Luzia donde se come un pulpo espectacular. Ideal para ir con niños.

The property is very beautiful, however we had a lot of issues with the stove in our suite. It wasn’t working properly, and two people had to come in at different times to help us fix it, which took about 1-2 hours. Then when it was “fixed”, it still didn’t work properly, and would randomly shut off and we had to keep flipping the breakers on and off for the suite. This made our cooking experience very frustrating. There was also loud construction that started in the suite next to us around 9:00 in the morning. However the staff were very friendly and nice, and the surrounding area is beautiful.

Stayed here for one night: fortunately! Even considered to find something else on the spot. The location near the beach along the canal and the landscaping are great, however, the entire infrastructure directly around the bungalows and the bungalows itself could be the decor of “Life after People”. The smell when we entered was terrible: incredibly musty. In the kitchenette: an automatic juice press, an electric hand blender…. but no… what people travelling need most of all?? A coffee machine and water cooker! Back to reception: “it’s on request”. Really? So a guy was bringing a traditional coffee maker with filter coffee. A water boiler was not available. Even though both are advertised. But come on: I travel a lot and NEVER have I encountered this type of BS. Blankets thin as paper while it’s still quite chilly. And for the rest: everything’s just obsolete. Shampoo in small sachets: haven’t seen those since the last century 🤣. So, unless you’re an adventurous traveller, avoid! And these types of complaints have been ventilated for many many years. Anyway, goodbye and farewell! 👋🏻

We stayed near end of season, atmosphere in the resort was rather tranquil, which we liked.
Apartments and public areas are a little worn, but spacey and well-equipped. We even got an upgrade to a suite with a third bedroom (which we did not need as a family of 3, but overall we enjoyed the extra space).
For wifi in the room we needed to rent a router, but the price of 1 Euro per day is moderate and quality was perfect.
Access to the (public) beach is by a 1500m walk, but there is a small train which can be used free of charge by hotel guests.

Too far from facilities. Too many stairs. I am 81 years old

Good food in multiple restaurants.
Family friendly.
Friendly, helpful staff.

Could be better: Parking was cramped, sometimes hard to find a space.

In 2023 we enjoyed the piano bar a lot. we spent every evening there, tried every cocktail on the menu during our stay, I guess we could be considered "good guests" who bring revenue.
in 2024 it seems to be under new management and now every cocktail starts at 10.90 EUR - even simple drinks like manhattan, which is not even in the menu (the menu got very reduced, is it even still a cocktailbar?), but we asked and got the info, that 10.90 is the minimum for every cocktail they do, manhattan too.
in 2023 manhattan was 7 EUR...
so instead of spending every evening there making a lot of revenue for the bar, we were there once, payed 22 EUR for our 2 Drinks and that's it. we told the employee that that the prices are way too high for that, not sure if the new management is open for that feedback.
the cocktails we had were good, though.

We had a very good time, even much too short.
The receptionist team is excellent.

We hadden studio gehuurd, matige locatie geen zon!!
Gevraagd om andere locatie, hebben toen een upgrade gekregen naar een andere locatie. met meer zon en grotere verblijf. prima.!

Wir haben uns wunderbar erholt. Einfache aber saubere Unterkunft. Jeden Tag wurde gereinigt und die Betten gemacht. Alle 2 Tage frische Handtücher. Für ein Studio nicht selbstverständlich. Parkplatz und Fahrkarten für die Bummelbahn sind mit dabei. Zum Essen würde ich die nahegelegenen Lokale in Santa Lucia oder Tavira empfehlen. Wir werden wiederkommen

The property is getting worn out. I had repeated problems with my entry door lick and parking lot access.

COCKROACHES STAY AWAY!!!

WORST APARTMENT I HAVE EVER STAYED AWAY!!

Firstly the reception where you check in and the apartment are 10+ mins walk which feels forever in the heat and luggage…Then there is no wifi, the host in not reachable… so your in for a scam…

Moving on the whole apartment is dusty and dirty… mattess smelt like damp terrible if you have respiratory conditions like myself . no toilet roll. Shower all clogged up. It says sleep for 3 but its actually a small room and the cupboard im that room is used as a cleaner cupboard…
The corridor cupboard is for the other 2 sleepers.. which is near to decent. my black suitcase bag got dirty when placed on the table… the locks are broken..
then you have lots of surprises like mosquitoes and cockroaches to join you sleep..

We were meant to stay 5 nights we ended up staying 1.. cockroaches was the last straw… we paid more money to move to another hotel as host was not responsive…

Lets hope lastminute.com take our complaint seriously and shut this host from hosting

Very good checkin, they worked hard to give me a better cottage, then gave me an extended checkout....nice people, they did it all with a smile and broken English!
