Still great but in need of a refresh
Pros:

I have visited this hotel several times and the staff are always welcoming especially Aitor who has now been promoted to management. The hotel provides everything we look for but has become a little tired and the quality and range of food seems less than it was. Nevertheless it is hard to find a hotel offering such a friendly environment and challenging golf course.

Schöner Aufenthalt in einem abgelegenen Hotel
Pros:

Overall ok but not 5 star resort
Pros:

My 3rd visit to this hotel and probably will be my last as a solo traveler. Staff great and attentive. This hotel has really lost its 5 star appeal with rooms very tired and food plentiful but less desirable options with hardly any labels for a vegetarian. The room pictured was classed as a deluxe suite with outside balcony more basic than deluxe. Tried to ask at reception to see if anything could be done about the room but was greeted with communication barriers. Overall Nice hotel but not a 5 Star serenity hotel.

Outstanding
Pros:

We’ve just returned from a week at this hotel and can’t recommend it enough.
Everything was spot on.
We were welcomed on arrival with a complimentary drink - which really set the tone for the week.
The breakfast and dinner buffets were outstanding. I don’t eat gluten or dairy and I had no problem at all. There were plenty of options on the buffets and if I wanted it I could order pasta, pizza and bread in the evening and bread and/or crepes in the morning. (I can highly recommend the crepes.) Gluten and dairy free desserts were limited but there was always at least one option.
The room we had was lovely. Spotlessly clean, very well designed, decorated and furnished. We pre-requested a specific room as we wanted morning sun. This can be done on their website.
The hotel is very remote which makes it very quiet but there’s a shuttle coach down to Maspalomas a few times a day, which we used twice. The second time to visit a pharmacy, which the coach driver actually drove us to and waited, which we were very grateful for.
Even though the hotel is quite remote you can walk the perimeter of the golf course (not on the golf course) which is approximately 4km.
Plenty of choice of classes, which I attended and a very good gym, which my husband used regularly.
Overall a very, very good holiday. Staff were friendly and professional. Nothing was too much trouble.
We would definitely recommend and definitely hope to be back one day very soon.

Fragwürdiges Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis
Pros:

Sehr schöne Hotelanlage inkl. mehrerer Pools.

Cons:

Pros:

We had several stays at the Salobre and we enjoyed every single one. The hotel and the facilities are spotless and inviting, the staff genuinely friendly and helpful. We play golf and also enjoyed the golf course. We will definitely come back.

I will be back again
Pros:

2nd visit standard room (upgraded on first stay to a suite , worth it if you spend time in the room) the hotel is laid out well , always a place to sit on your own if thats your thing, lots of pools and sun beds ,most of the guests are out playing golf so not busy during the day, food is good and plenty of choice. In my opinion it's a great place to stay (you need a car if you want to explore) noticeably busier this visit, hopefully it won't spoil a great place

A first-class full-service facility for golf and recreation
Pros:

A first class full-service facility for golf and recreation. A very fine golf course with all the necessary amenities - combined with a clear structure and well-organized service. Highly recommended. In addition - the food is incredibly good - both at breakfast and dinner for half-pension - suprisingly good at a resonable price / Christoffer

A Complete Holiday
Pros:

This is the most incredible hotel. We have stayed many times and when you talk to people you a large percentage are previous customers. Once you have found it you keep returning.
Although I think there are about 300 rooms, the design makes it feel like a small luxury hotel. There are a full range of activities and an award winning golf course. We go for the heated infinity pool on the 11th floor where you can swim looking down to the coast a few miles away. There are wonderful established gardens with exotic palms and cacti and at night there is subdued lighting so you can walk around looking at the stars.
It is a wonderfully quiet and peaceful hotel.
The staff are all so friendly and helpful and a lot have been there for many years which is testament to a well run hotel.
The food is out of this world and so many choices at every meal. I always start the day with a smoothie made to my choice of ingredients. There is lots of fresh fruit. My husband likes a cooked breakfast and there is everything from smoked salmon to tasteful breads and pastries. In the evening there is always a choice of fresh fish to have cooke to order and the same for meats. Always pasta and pizza for children; multiple salads; multiple potato choices ....Just heavenly.

Relaxing Winter Break
Pros:

Absolutely loved this hotel! Booked through Jet2 Indulgent Escapes. First time doing IE with Jet2 but definitely won't be the last. Highly recommend, between the fast track at the airport & the private transfers whisking us away from the airport directly to the hotel we were there in no time.

We Highly recommend this hotel for a quiet golf/wellness break with impeccable customer service.

We were greeted at reception by a lovely man who immediately supplied us with a glass of champagne to enjoy while he checked us in, it was much appreciated and indicative of the 5 star experience we were expecting. Check in was quick and lots of information provided. The hotel is beautiful, clean and very well maintained. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable with ample storage space. Although be aware that the shower room does have a large glass window that connects with the bedroom so if sharing with someone they can see you, this may put some people off but it was fine for us.
The hotel is away from the centre/beach but a shuttle bus is provided. Other than the hotel facilities which are great there is not much else to do, it is very much geared towards golf, spa and relaxation so if you like to be near the action/bars/clubs/resturants etc then it's not for you unless you are prepared to get taxi's back and forth. The golf course is beautiful and well kept, the pro shop staff are very helpful and make sure you have everything you need. The spa is a lovely space to rest and relax, we went a couple of times for massages etc and could not fault it. The pools are great with lots of loungers and space to relax.
The only small area of disappointment was with the gym, it was the usual offering that I have come to expect in Spain. A small space, mostly old cardio equipment, no air conditioning, the water cooler switched off and often empty. Not a deal breaker and it would not put me off returning but given the rest of the wellness facilities in the hotel are so amazing I feel that the gym as been forgotten about and could do with an upgrade to be brought up to the same standard.

The food was great, the choices were plentiful and quality was very good. Being coeliac I specifically booked Salobre based on previous reviews relating to Gluten Free food options and service and they did not disappoint.
I emailed the hotel prior to arrival asking about gluten free options and cross contamination procedures and very quickly received a detailed response giving examples of food options and details of kitchen and food ordering procedures in place to avoid cross contamination.
This immediately put my mind at ease however having been made very ill on previous holidays I was still wary and for the first couple of days was very mindful of watching how things were handled. I can honestly say that I didn't need to worry and I have never felt so safe eating in a hotel even at the buffet. It was very evident that all food service staff had been well trained in allergies and cross contamination procedures. The dinner supervisor was amazing always making sure that i knew what was available and every night went out of her way to ask if i wanted to order anything different straight from the kitchen.
Finally, the staff are an absolute credit to the hotel, every single one of them was happy, polite, helpful and able to answer any questions we had. We did not come across a single member of staff that rude or unhelpful, there's always one wherever you go but not here.

Pros:

qualité repas très bonne

Cons:

Premium package holiday hotel, great for golfing families
Pros:

This is a great 4 star hotel (even if it says 5 stars), which feels classy for being the type of hotel available in all inclusive deals. Separate area for adults only, including one lunch restaurant, and main pool area available for families. Small playroom and minimal playground for kids. There is one outdoor ping pong table.

Restaurants: We only ate at the pool bar, S club and the main restaurant. Breakfast is superb, with freshly squeezed orange juice, smoothies and amazing omelettes made to order. Dinner is a scaled-up buffet, with fish and meat cooked to order. Lovely outdoor patio for breakfast and dinner, with heaters. You can order a bottle of wine and keep it for coming nights.

Facilities: Highly recommend the junior/family suites and the spa which is fairly small but has everything you want. We booked a full board stay via hotel's own website, and one entrance to the spa was included. Gym with amazing view.

Golf: Hotel is perfect for golfing families. Well stocked pro shop! Courses are well kept and have an enjoyable layout (only 9 holes on New Course open), but practice facilities can definitely be improved. Recommended to book a buggy even though the courses are walkable, since the shuttle service between hotel/driving range/1st tee is very unreliable (I waited 20 min once and my husband almost missed his tee time even though he called for the shuttle when recommended by the pro shop). Also, don't come to the course hungry as there if no halfway house but a snack buggy driving around the course which we did not see for our first 9 holes. The order service did not work, so we received our snacks on hole 13, 50 minutes after ordering.
