The location of Ibis Reading was excellent, being very central: about five minutes walk away from the train station and about five minutes away from the city centre. There are lovely restaurants, cafes, bars and shops around the streets nearby. Reading is such a foodie destination. The room was of a good size and clean. The bathroom was a bit small but it looked like it had been recently renovated. The shower was hot and powerful. There was air con/heating in the room, if needed. There was also a kettle and tea and coffee which were very much appreciated. You could also get more from the Reception downstairs and drink there if you wanted to get out of your room. You could also buy pizzas and draft beer from there. The views from the upstairs window by the lifts were pretty.
Nothing really. The Reception on checking-in could not find my booking at first. Despite the fact that I had checked in the evening before online, as requested by Ibis online.
