Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable , bel hôtel très confortable
Pros:

Chambre très confortable, personnel très aimable et attentionné, hôtel très bien situé à Chau Doc au bord du fleuve avec une belle vue sur les maisons flottantes, piscine agréable, petit-déjeuner très varié et excellent.

Lovely riverside location.
Pros:

Superb location from where to observe river life. Lovely riverside view room. Very clean.

Cons:

The breakfast was limited and poor quality. Particularly didn’t like the ‘flasks’ of weak coffee. For the price of the hotel I would expect a coffee machine as a minimum.

Séjour de 3 nuits
Pros:

La gentillesse du personnel (Au restaurant, pour les bagages, à l'accueil, un merci spécial à Maud), le petit déjeuner généreux et varié.
La localisation face au fleuve, tout est facilement accessible.
La propreté des lieux et la possibilité de se relaxer à la piscine, en extérieur au calme.

Fabelhaftes Hotel im Zentrum des reizenden Chau Doc
Pros:

Ein schönes und stilvolles Hotel mitten im Zentrum von Chau Doc. Das ist ein großes Plus, denn die Stadt und die Menschen sind ungemein sympathisch. Wir fühlten uns auf eine unaufdringliche Art sehr willkommen.
Das Frühstückbuffet ist ausgezeichnet: Sehr viele herzhafte asiatische Gerichte, gute Obstauswahl, frische Eier. Und es gibt sogar (ansonsten selten anzutreffen) guten Käse und hochwertigen Schinken. Auch abends ist das Restaurant sehr empfehlenswert.
Ein absolutes Highlight war der Besuch des Naturreservats Tra Su. Die durch das Hotel organisierte Exkursion mit privatem Chauffeur und Guide war fabelhaft (aber leider auch entsprechend teuer).
Die Zimmerausstattung entspricht dem Standard dieser Hotelkategorie. Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert!

Cons:

Wir wurden beim Einchecken in einem kleineren Zimmer untergebracht als wir gebucht haben und mussten am nächsten Tag das Zimmer wechseln.

Great view over the river
Pros:

The location and old style of the Hotel are great. It is worth getting a room with a river view. It is clean and comfortable but facilities feel a bit tired.

Cons:

Found it was very expensive compared to the rest of places in Vietnam. The same for the day trips.

Classy and welcoming
Pros:

Perfect location if you’re taking the fast ferry to or from Phnom Penh. Old world charm is key here and they do it very well. It’s an oasis of calm in a busy town.

Pros:

Grande et belle chambre avec vue sur le fleuve

Pros:

Great location after boat from Cambodia. Comfortable bed and room. Excellent staff and service. Hired a car with driver for journey back to Ho Chi Min, highly recommended. Stops on the way. Driver was exceptional and even bought us iced coffee

Lage

Cons:

Dieses Hotel wird als 4-Sterne-Hotel geführt – in der Realität entspricht es aus meiner Sicht höchstens 3 Sternen, wenn überhaupt.

Ja, die Lage ist praktisch: direkt am Mekong und unmittelbar am Fährterminal, von dem aus die Boote Richtung Phnom Penh abfahren. Genau diese Lage scheint aber auch der Grund zu sein, warum die Preise so hoch sind – denn Preis/Leistung passt hier überhaupt nicht.

Das Haus ist deutlich in die Jahre gekommen (ca. 26 Jahre alt) und wirkt renovierungsbedürftig. Besonders im Zimmer und im Bad sieht man deutliche Abnutzung und Pflegezustände, die einfach nicht zu einem Vier-Sterne-Anspruch passen. Schimmel in der Dusche, ungepflegte Armaturen, defekte Seifenspender, abgenutzte alte Handtücher, mehrfach schlecht übermalte Türen, kein anständiger Abschließmechanismus an der Zimmertür und so weiter… von den Balkontüren einmal ganz abgesehen, der Safe liegt lose im Schrank.

Auch die Lautstärke war ein Problem: Wir hatten ein Zimmer im 1. Stock zur Wasserseite und ahnten nicht, dass morgens bereits ab ca. 6 Uhr regelmäßig ein sonores „dum-dum-dum“-Bass-Geräusch aus der Musikanlage statt, was den Tag über bis ca. 22:30 Uhr anhält. Insgesamt war es – wie leider oft in Vietnam – laut, trotz unserer Wasserseite, aber für ein Hotel dieser Kategorie ist das einfach enttäuschend. Es findet in keinerlei Hinsicht eine halbwegs vernünftiger Schallschutz statt.

Ein weiterer Minuspunkt ist das Bett: Die Matratze gehört leider zu den schlechtesten, die wir auf unserer bisherigen Japan-/Asienreise hatten – Schlafkomfort quasi Fehlanzeige. Die Matratze hat es auf Platz 2 der schlechtesten Matratzen unserer zweimonatigen Japan/Vietnam Reise geschafft :( Eingerissene Kopfkissenbezüge krönten nebenbei unseren Schlafkomfort. Könnte man mehr als 4 Bilder hochladen, wären es einige mehr davon gewesen.
