Frustrating experience with poorly managed Incompetent staff
Pros:

You have to be joking!!! I wouldn't book your hotel for a dog's funeral after the way we were treated at Christmas. Remember we had to make 9 calls over a week to chase you up on the menu and availability and a further 3 calls to make a booking and then ON THE DAY emailed (not even phoned) us to cancel for "operational reasons" without so much as an apology. Your staff couldn't even tell us what food was available when we phoned. I've never in my life come across such a sh1t show - Fawlty Towers on steroids. I hope the management team at your disorganised, chaotic establishment get fired and then I might consider booking again but until then I strongly suggest that anyone considering booking at this place thinks twice.

Furthermore, on the previous occasions the food was passable but the service was slow and inefficient with the waiters not even knowing the basics such as what the 'soup of the day' is of whether a particular dish contains nuts.

AVOID AVOID AVOID 😡

unless of course you want your special occasion to be ruined!

Ok
Pros:

Comfortable bed and pillows, spacious shower and room

Cons:

We checked in dropped the luggage and left the room. We smelled a bit of paint but thought nothing of e at the time, when we returned it was close to midnight and went to bed, but the paint smell had an impact over our sleep.
Some tricky areas around the sink and shower/ walls needs a bit extra attention, traces of tooth paste and soap.

Very comfortable room at an excellent price
Pros:

Really good value for money. The room was comfortable, not too warm and quiet. The staff went out of their way to provide a vegan meal.

Cons:

Shame the EV charger was out of order.

Terrible hotel. Poor check-in experience. Very noisy throughout the night with lots of door banging. Breakfast was reaso
Pros:

The breakfast was good.

Cons:

Check in took ages. Staff weren’t helpful. TV didn’t work in my room so I had to get someone to help me and they also struggled. The biggest issue was the constant noise throughout the night. People coming and going all night long. If you’re looking to actually sleep, this hotel is not the one for you! It’s very tired, and I definitely wouldn’t stay there again.

Great for a short stopover if you have an event/business in the area. Well located.
Pros:

It's quiet and well-equipped. Glad for the in-room fan! Like the ample free parking and extra large bed. Perfect for our purpose, which was a one-night stay to attend the Heritage Festival at Englefield House.

Cons:

While the room was well-priced, I felt the charge for breakfast was a little steep. The standard of food was poor value for money, and it was difficult to find an attendant in the breakfast room. We nearly left without paying because we couldn't find anyone to take our card!
