Mayfair Hotel

We visited this beautiful hotel with friends for a 4 night break over the New Year. The hotel is well situated for a 20 minute stroll down into Paphos Harbour which has a good variety of seafront restaurants and the usual gift shops. A lovely walk up to the medieval fort past the Kato Paphos Archaeological Park. We had a member of our party who has mobility issues and he managed the walk down but we got a taxi back using Mayfair Cabs which is in the same road as the hotel and are very efficient and reasonably priced. It cost us 12 euros per trip. There is also a bus that passes by on the main road 2 minutes walk from the hotel.
We had a standard room which was comfortable although the bathroom was quite small with little shelf space for 2 toiletries bags. No shampoo or conditioner provided but liquid soap on wall in shower and a small bar of soap for the basin. We had an East Facing balcony on the 3rd floor which overlooked the swimming pool and had a lovely sunny sunrise. Housekeeping staff were excellent.
The restaurant was very bright and airy with plenty of tables. We thought the food on offer was probably some of the best we've experienced with All Inclusive deals. Different choices every day apart from the standard pizza etc. Salad bar was superb. I'm not a lover of European desserts usually, but there was plenty of choice here. Wine was hit and miss, beers/lagers ok but we did go on to cocktails quite early on in the evenings. The Dolphin Bar was were the evening entertainment was which was varied and enjoyable. We did however spend most of our evenings in the lounge area near Reception playing cards,
The Mayfair put on a great New Year's Eve buffet which was excellent, plentiful and varied with violinist and a singer. Wonderful. Champagne reception before dinner too.
We didn't use the spa facilities or the indoor pool but they looked busy.
Two decent outside pools which again, due to the time of year, we didn't use but there were some die hard guests in the pool and on sunbeds.
I was surprised that we had to pay for the use of the safe in the room. We were in rooms 360 and 361 and would happily stay there again.

I arrived from hospital with a broken leg, and met nothing but kindness and helpfulness throughout my stay. Staff went above and beyond to help and facilitate, they were all amazing, and they work as a team - it makes a huge difference. Management has a visible presence, in a very positive manner.
Buffet breakfast, all you could think of and probably more. George, the restaurant manager, clearly has 5* training - everyone benefits, it all flows seamlessly.
My room was excellent, the bed was like sleeping on a cloud (I wanted to bring the pillows home), housekeeping staff were fantastic, they were so kind and thoughtful - special thanks to Ireema, who made me a towel elephant (photo attached), it made my day!
It's exceptional value for what's provided, lots of detailing. On the whole it punches way above its weight - highly recommended!

Je prends rarement le temps d’écrire un avis aussi long, mais il m’est impossible de ne pas saluer l’excellence de cet hôtel qui a largement dépassé toutes mes attentes.

Dès mon arrivée, j’ai été accueilli avec un professionnalisme et une chaleur humaine que l’on ne trouve que dans les établissements qui placent l’humain au cœur de leur service. Le personnel, toujours souriant, disponible et attentif, a su répondre à toutes mes demandes avec efficacité, tout en étant discret et respectueux de mon intimité.

La chambre était tout simplement impeccable : spacieuse, décorée avec goût, très bien insonorisée, et équipée de tout le confort moderne (literie de qualité, climatisation silencieuse, machine à café, produits de toilette haut de gamme…). Le lit était incroyablement confortable. J’ai rarement aussi bien dormi dans un hôtel ! Le ménage était fait chaque jour avec un soin remarquable, et tout était parfaitement propre.

Le petit-déjeuner mérite une mention spéciale : varié, copieux, et composé de produits frais et savoureux, avec des options aussi bien sucrées que salées. Le buffet changeait légèrement chaque jour, ce qui évite la monotonie et montre l’effort pour satisfaire tous les goûts.

Le restaurant de l’hôtel (si applicable) était également une très belle découverte, avec une cuisine savoureuse, différentes chaque jours ( internationales, grecs,…), et un service irréprochable. Les plats étaient aussi bons que bien présentés. Le personnel de salle était aux petits soins.

Quant aux installations, elles sont dignes d’un établissement de luxe : piscine magnifique, espaces verts parfaitement entretenus. On sent un vrai souci du détail dans chaque recoin de l’hôtel.

La localisation de l’établissement est également idéale – à la fois calme et proche de tout (plage, centre-ville, transports, sites touristiques…). C’est l’endroit parfait pour se détendre tout en pouvant facilement partir à la découverte des environs.

Viesnīcas istabas ir plašas, tur ir daudz vietas. Gultas bija ērtas, un brokastīs - lieliska ēdienu izvēle. Personāls bija laipns un atsaucīgs. Ir pieejams iekštelpu baseins. Viss tiek uzturēts tīrs. Bārā ir pieejami ļoti lēti dzērieni. Iesaku izvēlēties Suite numuriņu ar skatu uz baseinu, tur bija vairāk komforta un normālāks skats nekā standarta numuriņā.

Nice hotel with convenient parking space. Excellent breakfast with large variety of food to have a good start for the day! Good evening entertainment program with live music, bingo and cocktails.
