They are now charging a $10 nightly parking fee!

Beware: I've stayed at the Homewood Suites by Hilton at the Albuquerque airport many times for its convenience, but this time they are imposing a $ 10-per-night parking fee. My company will not reimburse for a parking fee. The lady behind the counter said, "The owners want to resurface the parking lot and imposed the fee". They want us customers to pay for their new parking lot. I will NOT be staying there in the future. I've got lots of choices. In fact, the Hampton Inn just around the corner has free parking and better ratings.

Nice room. Disappointing Wed. social

Great airport location with shuttle on demand. My room was nice, clean, and quiet. I was very disappointed at the Wednesday evening complimentary social hour. Food was ok with soup, salad, cheese n crackers, bread and brownies. No beer or wine because “we don’t have a liquor license “. Pitiful and probably should be pointed out on their website. I chose this hotel for the Wednesday social and omg sad. Would not choose this one again, since many other options nearby. Also sad that Homewood did away with their Monday thru Thursday evening socials since Covid. Bad choice.

Cons:

Paid parking heater ac unit was falling out of the wall and thermostat didn’t work was windy. The wind came in through the AC that was falling out of the wall and it’s stupid. You have to pay for parking.

Pros:

The beds were comfortable, the staff was all very friendly. The suite with the kitchen had a full-size refrigerator, a small stovetop, a dishwasher, plates, bowls, silverware, glasses, a few non-stick pans (the kind that is toxic and gets in the food though), a toaster, and a coffee maker. There was some dish soap and a pod for the dishwasher, as well as some rags and paper towels. It was a nice setup with some nice amenities.

Cons:

I didn't like paying 10 usd a night for parking. It was a regular lot, no security that I ever saw. It should be free for guests; if they want to charge visitors, that would make more sense. This brings me to another point, but mostly a Hilton thing. You need to use their app for wifi. I didn't even try to put it on all of our phones, so im not sure if we would all be able to log in at the same time or not. I would hope so. It is free but throttles you unless you pay a fee per day. When I stay somewhere, I would like the price to be the price. It makes me feel like the "deal" I got on here was wasted with the extras you have to pay for. The kitchen looked clean but was actually pretty scummy in high touch areas, like the refrigerator handle and cabinet doors. None of these things were a major problem, but it's worth noting.

The elevator was not working during the entire weekend of our stay. Our suite was a little dirty.

$9.99/day Parking charge incurred WITHOUT your knowledge. Not informed @ booking, check in or out

Beds are comfortable, breakfast is good, rooms are clean. Stayed here before and really enjoyed my stay, that's why we came back. But not again. They have a new policy, apparently, that you are NOT informed of at booking, or check-in, or check out! Had to call the hotel to find out what the extra $9.99 charge on my credit card was for.

Cons:

Can't believe that this hotel's new policy is to charge you $9.99 for parking without being informed of this fee at booking, or check in, or even check out. They charge your credit card the $9.99 fee 2 days AFTER you check out!! My car left with me!! The people who are leaving their cars in the parking lot to get on an airplane, apparently get free parking, while the hotel guests pay a fee? They ask for your car description and plate number at check in. What for? They should be monitoring the lot and towing the cars that aren't supposed to be there, not charging the guests of the hotel who drive away in their vehicles after checking out of the hotel. WON"T STAY HERE AGAIN.
