Hotel RH Corona del Mar

It is a shame because the manager really seems to care. However, food is an important part of our holiday and the restaurant food was simply just bad! Only good point was that hot was hot, and cold was cold. When it came to the taste and the execution of the cooking it was dire. We don't like eating out at night, especially in the winter, so had no choice but to eat in the hotel. One night my evening meal was a cheese sandwich and crisps! I accept that the hotel is not expensive but I don't think the issue was the quality of the food but rather the quality and control of the cooking. Some of the "chefs" on the grill, simply did not have a clue what they were doing. We have stayed many times at other RH hotels and this was the worst food by far. As far as allergies are concerned, be careful. They do try, but again, due to lack of training, can get it spectacularly wrong. A very helpful lady went round with me one night, pointing out what I could and could not eat. I sussed out that she thought I could not have gluten, when in fact, I can't have dairy. I speak Spanish so was able to avoid a potentially health threatening situation. However, that may not be the case for everyone.
One a positive note, the hotel is in a great position for the old town. The rooms are pretty basic but I guess you get what you pay for. Nice sea views if you book a sea view room and the hotel has a car park (chargeable as you would expect in a city).
I can only recommend if you want a cheep(ish) holiday on a bed and breakfast basis. We checked out after a week although booked for two weeks.

Probably the best holiday hotel we have stayed at. We had 4 lovely weeks here. Very friendly with great staff. Lovely room with excellent sea views. Hotel and room were spotlessly clean. Food was good and varied. The entertainment, organised and run by David, engaged with the guests and was top quality, varied and with a couple of the acts being exceptional!
Many guests that we had spoken to were on their 4th or 5th return visit here - which I think says it all!

My wife and I enjoyed a week on full board at the Rh Corona Del Mar in February with TUI. We had a room on floor 6 at the rear of the hotel - nice and quiet. A well appointed room and kept immaculately clean daily. For lunch and dinner the dining room has table cloths which are changed after each set of guests - a nice touch. There were other little differences such as baskets for bread rolls which set the Corona dining apart from the standard Spanish holiday hotel. For all meals there was plenty of choice on the buffet both hot and cold and always with two fish and meat options being cooked fresh on the grill. In the evening there were also several themed nights. Food was mostly hot and there was a microwave for those who wanted their food piping hot.
There was entertainment each evening as well as other daytime activities. The host David was brilliant and if you like line dancing he teaches dances during the day and then gets everyone up in the evening when the entertainers are singing.
Drinks are reasonably priced and the spirit measures are to say the least generous and if you charge drinks to your room there is a 10% discount.
The staff in all areas are friendly and helpful and really add to the holiday experience.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel and hope to return before too long.

Was 3rd/4th stay at the hotel but I think I must have been allocated worst room in hotel,room 120.Positioned above fans from kitchen and laundry?but even to top that ,building work was going on so had extreme noise for 3 days of drilling and banging.Would consider going back again but deffinatly not if any chance of being in that part of hotel

All staff excellent room was cleaned daily to a very good standard.Reception very very helpful.bar staff also. The entertainment not for myself far to noisy. I think rooms with a view south are the ones to have.

Hotel room was good sea view was good bed comfortable maid service very good staff were unpredictable some great and some not so good plus points hotel gave me a bottle of wine for my birthday not so good entertainment not my taste nice position in the resort weather was great when I was there food was good at times and not so good but ok plus points hotel gave free safe you pay 10 euros but get it back on check out water dispenser on every floor was good other hotels should do the same on the whole a good stay

We are currently staying in this faultless hotel.

This is our 4th visit to the RH Corona del Mar. We requested a high floor and was located a pool/ sea view room 501, which weave stayed in before. Lovely quiet airy room, modern facilities. Lovely comfortable bed.

Bathroom - perfect, lovely hot water and all usual amenities which are replenished as needed.

Pool area is fabulous, grassed, lovely Balinese beds and wall to wall sun all day.

Bar area can get quite busy at peak times, but plenty of staff to accommodate.

Entertainment has been really good and something to suite exonerated taste.

A huge shout out to David the entertainments organiser.. what an asset to the RH Corona del Mar. His humour and personality is great.

The restaurant- food is fabulous, plentiful and always hot, great selection too.

The staff go above and beyond to make your stay pleasurable and memorable.

We will be returning again soon.

having visited this hotel on numerous occasions, will not hesitate to highly recommend anybody to holiday here , being excellant food comfortable bedrooms and entertainment, and the staff extremely efficent likable also , nothing was too much trouble in the service they provided. cannot wait until my next visit.

My favourute hotel in Benidorm staff fab food great & spotlessly clean hotel & rooms!! Victor pool guy in summer time is brilliant very helpful always happy. Dieago bar guy is fab funny & looks after you as do they all.

Loved the hotel ,almost every member of staff tried really hard to make holiday a success

This hotel is a fantastic place to stay, the staff are so friendly and welcoming. The rooms are spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds. The food is fabulous with plenty of variety and choices. We have been coming here for the past 12 years and this year what made it extra special was David, the entertainment manager. He was friendly funny and arranged many extra activities which we’ve never done before.

We had another fantastic stay at this hotel. The rooms, staff, food, bar, all so wonderful to make for a fantastic stay in prime position in Benidorm. There is entertainment every night, really good acts as well. The swimming pool and area is OK, but only gets sun for part of the day. I return here year after year, never been disappointed. Recommend it!

Lovely hotel with lovely staff. Room fairly big with walk in shower and shower gel, conditioner, tissues, body lotion. Tea /coffee making facilities but all the milk was off so went and bought a bottle. Towels changed as and when required. We were on the 5th floor at the back of the hotel so no sunshine at all on the balcony. We noticed side view balconies overlooking pool didn’t get much sun either. I booked this hotel for the indoor pool, unfortunately it was closed for maintenance.
Food was ok, especially liked the chicken and turkey.
Situated near to beach, promenade, shops and pubs.
Entertainment every evening, Daytime activities also. Drinks are no dearer than other venues and hotel gives 10% discount for patrons.
The young lad waiting on the lounge area is an absolute delight.Great hotel but book a sea view room.
If you like old cars, go to museum, taxi there and back, entrance fee €13 all in.

This hotel is fantastic and the staff are wonderful. The only complaint I have is that the plates in the dining room were not hot when I wanted hot food. I also found that the entertainment area during the evening was quite cold but I appreciate that it is the winter period. Apart from that our stay was great and we have already booked for next year.

We had a fantastic stay in this hotel.
From the moment we arrived we got a warm welcome from Laura and that set the scene for the whole week.
The hotel is literally about 30 steps from the Poniente beach front and has secure car parking with entry via your room key.
The hotel is totally and very easily accessible for wheelchair users.
The whole hotel is nipping clean and passed our acid test of being comfortable not wearing slippers in our room!
The restaurant serves a very well stocked buffet breakfast including a chef station where you can order things to be cooked in front of you. We had dinner there one evenng and it was eqaully as good.
We cannot praise the entire staff well enough. They are incredibly warm and friendly and everyone of them just wants you to have a lovely time in their hotel. They are concerned to know that you have everything you need and make you feel appreciated as a guest.
It's like being in amongst a family.
The bar area is very pleasant with both indoor and outdoor sitting areas and again the staff are fantastic.
Would highy recommend staying here.

We have been wanting to try this hotel since we visited Benidorm last year & it certainly did not disappoint.
The staff go above and beyond to make your stay an enjoyable experience to name a few. Laura on reception, Diego, Ian and Raquel in the bar, Dori in the restaurant and not forgetting David who is head on entertainment and Champion at most things.
The rooms are spotless and clean towels provided daily. Whilst we were there building works were happening but everyone was cleaning regularly to keep the dust down.
The food was amazing there is something for everyone and you certainly won’t go hungry with the choice on offer.
We loved it so much we’ve already booked to go back in March.

Amazing hotel with super friendly staff. You really do feel at home here from the comfy and super clean room to the food.
This is one of the best hotels in Benidorm ideal location for old town and so near to the beach.
The only negative I can say was the weather which the hotel has no influence on.

Your hotel is utterly brilliant. Great food great rooms great pool relaxing atmosphere friendly staff great food. Gear entertainment nice lounge. I love it! I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a stay in Benidorm.

Very good stay and staff excellent but tv with British channels did not seem to be much of a priority for reception staff when we lost signal a few nights of our stay. This was a problem for but did not seem much of a problem for them.
Breakfast was excellent and always enjoyed our meals.
