I stayed for three nights at the Impiana KLCC Hotel in Kuala Lumpur with my daughter, and I would like to sincerely thank Miss Karen, the front desk manager.
From the moment we arrived, she welcomed us with warmth, professionalism, and genuine attention. Throughout our stay, she was always available, attentive, and ready to help us with efficiency and kindness.
Her attitude truly made a difference. I’ve stayed in other hotels in Kuala Lumpur, including the Sunway, but I haven’t experienced this same level of dedication and service. You can tell Miss Karen is passionate about her work and treats every guest with great respect.
She is, without a doubt, a valuable asset to the hotel. People like her turn a simple stay into a memorable experience.
We spent 5 nights at the Impiana Hotel in Kuala Lumpur from the end of December to the first week of January 2026. We had booked 3 Clubrooms, 2 Executive and One Deluxe Clubroom. Upon Check-In we were informed that the Clubroom for 2 people could not cater for twin beds only a King. Since my kids were brother and sister this was not at all suitable. After debate, we HAD to downgrade this Room to one that had Twin Beds, hence, we lost money on a 'better' Room for a lower grade one. Upon entering our Rooms, we found them filthy. Furniture was covered in dust! Furniture was chipped. Our Executive Clubroom was not clean. Bathroom did not cater for two people, one towel, no amenities, one toilet roll on one holder, none on the other. Shower stem was broken in parts and mould was observed on it. Internet did not work in the Rooms. It was thoroughly NOT good enough. We called the Front Desk and complained. The Manager came up to our Room and explained that all the 'better rooms' were reserved for 'VIP Guests'. Umm???? Apparently the Rooms were all the same he had explained. VIP Guests? Who? Obviously not paying tourists. We were put on Level 7, my parents on Level 9 and our kids on Level 13. When booking these Rooms we noted that we were guaranteed 'high level' for Clubrooms. Our view was into an Office Block across the road!!!! The Club Lounge was on Level 15! We were so disappointed with this Hotel. Depressing and we had 5 days here! The Clubroom was set out nicely but the hordes of people that suddenly appeared the day prior to New Years Eve was just far too much. Seating was hard to find, and the food disappeared as soon as it was put out on the benches. Once it was gone, it was gone. Nothing much was replenished, so you did without. We heard that alot of the people were either 'upgraded' or just paid their way into the Lounge. Very unfair as we had paid high prices for our Rooms from Australia. There were only 2 poor young men doing all the work in the Lounge, they looked totally fed up with the people and the mess. They did a great job just the same, but really ... Busy times call for more Staff. Once the food had been eaten, they were photographing the empty dishes on the bench to send to, not sure, the main kitchen, the Manager, to prove that it had indeed been eaten. Amazing! We had read that no children were permitted in the Lounge past 5 p.m. but this was not adhered to. One family with children, let them run wild and we observed them taking quite a few bottles of drink each as they left the Lounge on each visit. They also put hands in food and people were taking most of the cakes all at once for their table. One coffee machine was broken and not in service for most of our stay whilst the other one had troubles from too many hands fiddling with it. The free flowing drink was non existent. There were a couple of bottles of spirits on a table and a bottle of white in a fridge and a bottle off red on the table as well. Once gone, it was gone. I understand this Hotel was in a good position close to many attractions, but it was old and worn out in many many places. It needs to be demolished or upgraded to a high standard. NOT a four star Hotel. We have read that the place sold last November and new Management will take over in March. We wondered if the Hotel was just 'making do' till March, and that the old owners did not want to renovate or clean anything in the Rooms. Have been to KL many many times and this is the worst Hotel we have ever encountered. Waste of money. Would NOT recommend at all. So disappointing. Kudos to the two young men in the Clublounge who did their very best though. I have been reading alot of the Reviews on this Hotel and am astounded at the 'great reviews', whilst I believe the terrible Reviews to be so true.

The staff name Aidhel was extremely good to us during our stay... Such a great hospitality.... The room was okay, however the bathroom door was broken and the floor wasn't clean at all ...maybe u all should have a thorough inspection before releasing the room...

Impiana Hotel Kuala Lumpur – A Home Away From Home
The hotel is centrally located, within walking distance to KLCC, Pavilion, and public train services. My wife and I have been guests of Impiana for almost 20 years, and it truly feels like a second home away from home.
The rooms are comfortable, and we always opt for the Executive corner room, which features large glass windows on two sides and offers a breathtaking view of the majestic Twin Towers. The evening lights of the towers never fail to leave us with beautiful memories.
The service is impeccable. As long-standing guests, we have consistently experienced outstanding service, especially from the front counter manager, Nazmin, whose service is truly par excellence. She is always attentive and goes out of her way to accommodate our preferences, such as arranging a high-floor room so we can fully enjoy the evening views of KLCC.
The concierge service provided by Sayfiq is equally exemplary. He knows exactly how and where to place our luggage neatly in the room, according to my wife’s preferences. This level of personalized service is only possible through long-term relationships built over many years.
The room rates are also very competitive compared to other hotels in the area. All of this is made possible under the splendid leadership of the General Manager, Mr. Azril.
My husband and I had a wonderful stay in Impiana KL. Mr Aidhel and Mr Nazmin were very helpful. Their hospitality is remarkable. Our room is spacious with great view. We were also given a cake for our anniversary. The hotel staff were all very pleasant. Highly recommended! Kudos to the Team! Thank you!

A mix feeling with a few snobbish staff at reception and F&B manager(?). More interested in foreigners and show no interest to local patrons.
Arrival was cold reception. Managers show no interest and unhelpful.
Room for improvement in communication skills and welcoming patron to the hotel.
Food was average and nothing to rave. Dirty floor and untidy tables, food left behind, moving chairs around.
Loved this experience, from the cleanness of the rooms to the club lounge. Definitely will come back if I can!
