Awesome stay!
Pros:

The Dayton House is such a wonderful property. I have been going here for years. Beautiful lawn & sunning area. Will never stay anywhere else in Myrtle Beach!! Great service!! I love it!!

Do Not Stay Here – Disgusting Rooms & Rude Management
Pros:

I rarely leave reviews, but I feel like people need to know about our experience.

We checked into Dayton House Resort late Thursday night and were immediately disappointed. The room was in terrible condition—there were stains everywhere (bathtub, carpet, and even the sheets), a hole in the bathroom wall, tiles coming off, and broken baseboards. Both light fixtures were covered in rust, and one didn’t even work. There was a thick layer of dust along the baseboards and an overall foul, musty odor in the room.

The outside of the building wasn’t any better—it looked extremely outdated, dirty, and honestly like it should be condemned.

Friday morning, I called the front desk to request a room change. Housekeeping came up, and I showed them everything. Later, when I returned to speak with the manager (John), he was incredibly rude and completely unwilling to help or offer any resolution. Despite the condition of the room, he refused to provide any refund for the remaining nights.

We ended up packing up and leaving early because the accommodations were unacceptable. For the price they’re charging, this place is nowhere near worth it. Between the poor conditions and the unprofessional, dismissive service, I strongly recommend staying elsewhere.

Do not stay here.

Der Aufenthalt war okay.
Pros:

Das Hotel befindet sich direkt am Strand. Man hat Meerblick. Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit, aber etwas überfordert.

Cons:

Die Türe des Zimmers war beschädigt. Die Sauberkeit in den Gängen lässt zu Wünschen übrig.
Das Frühstück war okay. Leider alles mit Plastikgeschirr serviert.

The beach, parking was “okay”

Cons:

Very disappointing stay. The smell of marijuana got worse each night and management said there was nothing they could do. Loud music and noise went on well past quiet hours, making it hard to rest. The room did not match what was advertised, the TV didn’t work properly, and overall cleanliness/quality was lacking. At checkout, there were no luggage carts available anywhere, forcing multiple trips for all guests. Definitely not the standard I expected from Best Western

Outdated and over priced. But great location.
Pros:

The view and location. Easy parking and fully equipped kitchen.

Cons:

The was dirty. Breakfast was not the best. The hallways gave the projects. The bathroom was super small. No air circulation. Housekeeping came in our room for no reason.

If the hotel would update and clean updatet their rooms the stay would have been perfect.
Pros:

I loved the pools, the beach, the ocean view.

Cons:

There was dead roaches in the kitchen of our room. When I spoke to manager he blew me off and was very rude. The pull out couch bed was maybe 2 inches. Had to put couch pillows on top of mattress then wrap fitted sheet on. The couch cushion had a big stain of something questionable on it.
There was no pillow cases on our pillows. Every time I asked for towels, beach towels or pillow cases at the front desk they were out.
