Excellent stay, Nina and team were extremely lovely. We stayed in a Pool Hut, totally stunning. One of the best stays ever for myself and my wife. Food excellent, Spa great. All in all 10 out of 10
Beautiful resort and wonderful service. Prices at the bar and restaurant are very expensive relative to restaurants just outside the door. Buffet breakfast is good but can get crowded. Pool is quite nice but also busy. Rooms are spacious but shower area splashes out a lot and creates a wet floor area. Overall a nice resort that felt like an all inclusive resort in other parts of the world.
What a wonderful place to stay. The rooms and cabins are absolutely gorgeous and kept in immaculate condition. The staff are wonderful, warm and helpful without intruding. There is a lovely pool with towel service and changing area as well as a small bar. The breakfast food is great, with effort made to please a vegetarian. I really loved my stay here as a solo traveller in a small tour group.
We stayed here recently and couldn’t fault anything. The resort is beautifully laid out and constructed with lush vegetation and of a high quality. The pool is large and clean. Breakfast plentiful and varied. Dinner not at all expensive for its quality and variety and a fraction of English prices (though a little more expensive than other local outlets I would highly recommend the resort restaurant). The room we had (tge old honeymoon suite) was superb with a very large comfortable bed and high quality slippers and robes and complimentary spa treatments each day. I thoroughly enjoyed the tree morning Tai Chi and Yoga. Staff were friendly and polite and always available by wassap or at reception.
The hotel certainly has the 'Wow' factor when you step through the front entrance off of a small road.
Only stayed 1 night as part of a group tour and had a lovely meal in the restaurant.
The pool is very distinct in its green colour water but heavily shaded so unlikely to catch much sun and limited sun beds.
We felt the room was badly let down by the puny shower above the bath. Please get some decent walk-in showers fitted as I dislike climbing into a bath at my age and the shower head reached my stomach.
Lots of groups staying which made breakfast at 07.30 so busy and not enjoyable at all. It was tough to get a table and everyone walking around with a plate trying to work out where to get items.
I can see why people love it and maybe I could have grown to enjoy it but for night as part of a group we were keen to move on.
Beautiful setting well kept lush gardens and pool area . Our room was spacious, quiet and clean . The staff here are super friendly and polite and extremely attentive. We had a problem with our WC and couldn’t believe it when they changed the entire unit within 2hrs while we were at the pool. Fantastic service!
Great choice at breakfast catering for all tastes and more.
Can recommend.
We had a great time staying at the Pilgrimage Village in Hue.
Great location, lovely room and amenities, exceptionally clean and staff so very friendly and helpful.
Stayed for one night, a colonial style set in a green environment of trees and shrubs not far from the river. Although not in the centre there are restaurants and shops around.
The room and bathroom were large, we were in a second floor room. The rooms are dark wood and close to other blocks, so not a lot of privacy if shutters are open.
The rooms were spotless with a really comfortable bed and nice linen. The rooms have a safe and t/c making facilities. The bathroom was large with an over bath shower in which the head was directed into your face unless hand held.
Breakfast was excellent with good variety.
A nice stay
Excellent, as it was 2 years ago, hence why we came back!
Lovely relaxing atmosphere, attentive, kind staff and top notch facilities. Shout out to Claudia, who went above and beyond for us during our stay - and even remembered us from 2 years ago! Long may she stay at the village.
This resort is lovely. The room was spacious with a large balcony. I loved having the screen doors so could actually sleep with the sliding door open. The pool is gorgeous, complete with swim up bar, fast service by the chaises an a 2 for 1 happy hour. The restaurant was excellent for dinner and then breakfast was one of the best I had in Vietnam. There is a nice mix of guests - families with small children, older couples, small tour groups. Overall, an outstanding stay.
Our arrival at the hotel was much later than scheduled due to a flight delay, but the hotel served us with an excellent meal at 11pm at night. The care and attention was also evident in organising a visit to the city and its historical monuments for us the following morning.
Our accommodation was first class in terms of its facilities and cleanliness, although the mosquito net did represent something of a challenge in accessing our bed! 🙂
The food was of a very high quality with exemplary service and attention from staff.
The peace and tranquility of the hotel were in stark contrast to the surrounding area, although Hue itself was quiet in comparison to the freneticism of Hanoi from where we had come.
An excellent hotel which is highly recommended.
If you have seen the TV series White Lotus you will know what to expect here. The rooms are in colonial-style buildings set in superb garden surroundings which come alive at night with the sounds of the cicadas and the frogs. The pools are superb. The breakfasts are exceptional arrays of Indochinese and European choices. There is nothing not to like.
Perhaps the location away from Hue may be regarded by some as a negative but it's a small price to pay for the luxury of this setting.
We just completed our second stay at Pilgrimage. It is a wonderful resort with outstanding service/staff…you can tell they are well trained. The grounds and buildings are beautiful and well maintained. Menu choices are varied between local and western options. Breakfast is amazing.
We would like to recognize Ms Nina, Ms Thanh, Ms. An and Ms. Claudia for such great care and hospitality. We certainly hope to be back again. Best Wishes…Murray and Jennifer
Whilst on tour through Vietnam, our tour included a stay at this gem of a hotel. From our moment of arrival, the staff were charming, friendly and super efficient nothing was too much bother. Our room was huge and immaculately clean, as was the whole hotel. It gave you the feeling you were located on the edge of the Jungle, and even a bullfrog sang in the evening to my delight. Highly recommend this gem of a hotel, it was our overall favourite hotel during our tour of Vietnam.
What an awesome place to stay. Straight away within 5 minutes you are relaxed and due to all the plants it’s about 5C cooler than outside the resort. Actually by the time we reached our room we had decided to extend our stay by one night it was such a good feel to it. All the staff were extremely competent and had great english skills. They really took such good care of us. As I have coeliac disease I require a strict gluten free diet and I mentioned this once. That’s all I had to do and every time we went to the bar or restaurant they immediately knew my requirements without me having to advise them. I was also suffering from severe sinusitis and they kindly provided me with ginger tea at each meal, which helped immensely.
I had originally booked the hotel due to their awesome pool and I was not disappointed just a shade under 50 metres I guess but perfect for laps to knock out a 1km or 2.
We also availed ourselves of the spa and had a 90 minute massage and also a pedicure - absolute bliss. I am already committed to coming back one day to enjoy the resort whilst I am in good health. Next time I will book 2 weeks and just stay and enjoy the resort more fully without being sick with sinus issues.
Due to my severe sinusitis, I wasn’t able to do much and it was the perfect quiet place to relax and just enjoy being there. They also even arranged a Doctor to come and see me, I had already been to the international hospital but the Doctor there was not competent in English whereas the house doctor was fluent in English which was a godsend. He took a full history and like the resort staff extremely competent.
There was nothing they could have done better.
And they have an awesome system where they make you a whats app chat so you can use that one chat of which all the departments are part of to arrange anything - food, room service, housekeeping etc. Such as great idea - simple to use and so useful.
Great rooms for restful sleep - quiet and dark with an awesome balcony with a day bed.
Special call out to Thanh and Nina who were just always there to help with anything and everything.
The only one negative is it’s so peaceful there you find it hard to find the impetus to leave and explore Hue, you just want to stay there cocooned and comfortable in your little slice of Heaven.
We had a great experience staying in this hotel while visiting Hue.
We stayed at the Villa Double room with pool access. The room was large and comfortable. The setup was beautiful and the bed was comfortable.
We loved the ground with different ecosystems represented - from tropical plantations to the villa room that we could access to the heated pool from our backdoor.
The lobby was exquisitely decorated with natural wood materials.
What stood out about this place vs other 5 star property was the attentive and responsiveness of the staff. We especially would like to thank Aditya who helped us checked in and took care of us throughout our stay. His friendliness and yet professional approaches made us feel pampered and yet comfortable. A gem among all the great service staff at the hotel.
This was my best experience among all the 5 star hotels we stayed in our one month multi city trip in Vietnam. We highly recommend this place.
Me and my wife spend 4 days at this tropical resort.
We can only recommend this place for people seeking a peaceful sanctuary in the otherwise busy country of Vietnam.
Everything at this place was great, Claudia one of their staff members was really helpful with assisting us. From booking the airport transfer (which was reasonable priced compared to other hotels we stayed at) and to help us book other things and in general coordinating with us.
The place it self is very beautiful with some of the biggest and most beautiful butterflies we have ever seen flying around.
We had a 4 hour “free” car service which took us around the city. We recommend going to the old palace and maybe be there for 3 hours. We were there for 2 and felt like we could have used more time there.
The restaurant and bar were also great and the food was very delicious. But the biggest recommendation would be to get a massage at this wonderful place. We both agree that this might have been the best massage and Spa experience we have ever tried. Even though there was a small bit of noice coming from the construction of new bungalows. The spa area with the hot and cold baths was also very relaxing.
The breakfast buffet was really delicious especially the Vietnamese options. Also sitting by the river with the fish swimming around was a nice cosy way to start the day slow. If I should give an advice however it would be to make the bacon crispy as it was a bit soft and under cooked based on our personal preferences (maybe this is an European point of view)
Overall we can only recommend this amassing place to anybody visiting Hue.
All the best G&A
Thank you for the experience it was perfect !
The hotel is beautiful and the service very nice
The location and setting of the resort is stunning. Lush, well -maintained grounds, 2 large pools, several lounges and spa make it a fully relaxing experience. The breakfast buffet is extensive including authentic and fresh local dishes like Pho and Spring rolls plus Western favourites like yoghurt, eggs, bacon and potatoes. The range of fresh fruit was the largest we've ever seen. Wonderful fresh coffee or tea offered upon arrival.
I may have had the best foot massage ever! Yoga or Tai Chi on offer before breakfast welcome after long trip.
Every attempt to make a guest feel welcome and comfortable was made during our stay.
Can definitely recommend for a tranquil escape from other busy city destinations around Vietnam. A regular shuttle service to central Hue made staying outside city very
We hesitated before choosing the Pilgrimage because we prefer smaller, more personalized hotels. What a wonderful discovery! All the hotel staff, whether gardeners, housekeepers, or restaurant employees, are exceptionally kind! And what can we say about Thanh! Such charisma and professionalism! The breakfast is excellent with a wide selection. And the restaurant is truly delicious. We had a family room (connecting rooms) and it was spacious and comfortable. They also offer a shuttle to the very near city and if you miss it, you can take a Grab easily ! If we ever return to Hue, we will definitely stay there. Thanks to all the staff members for making our stay memorable.
