Only 3-Star, bad Service and awful Breakfast Buffet
Pros:

First time in a Sofitel hotel. Wanted to stay on Avenue Liberdade to be central and could only find this one as a modern hotel. Location was very good. Otherwise all bad;
1- The rooms are very small, the bathroom/shower opens right in the middle of the room, very bizzarre..
2- Breakfast buffet is a joke. Only a few muffins and some fruits.....not much else.
3- overall very cheap hotel.....service was really poor.

Fabulous hotel
Pros:

We enjoyed a 3 night last minute stay here after our original holiday was cancelled. We loved everything about the hotel. The rooms were lovely, super comfortable beds and a nice, spacious bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean. Rooms maintained daily as well as a turn down service each evening. The location was excellent, easy walking distance to so many of the major sights, there was also a metro station next to the hotel. We used ubers to and from the airport and they were plentiful and very cheap. Hotel staff were delightful and the breakfast was excellent - plenty of choice and many options to have things cooked fresh to order etc. Highly recommended.

Underwhelming 5 Star Hotel
Pros:

On a positive note, staff was very friendly and helpful. I was underwhelmed with the hotel overall and the room specifically. Outdated decor, shower just didn’t feel clean, usb ports weren’t working etc. Not the “5 Star” experience I expected.

Great place to stay, eat & drink
Pros:

We had an excellent stay. Good welcome, good room, very comfortable bed, breakfast and dinner were excellent. Bar was great place to drink Cocktails - friendly bar staff.

Opposite a metro station closed at the weekend (at least in Winter), but only a short walk to the next stop.
