Our hostess when we checked in was very friendly.
The room seemed clean, however, when I went to open the window shades the exterior shade was ripped, cut, and looked awful. I could have looked over that, however, we went down to breakfast. A couple was paying their bill then walked away. The gentleman behind the counter never made any contact with us whatsoever. Not, I will be right with you, just a moment while I finish this up. NOTHING. We stood there for 5 minutes and then chose to walk away. We went and ate a delicious breakfast at Bear Paw. We are Marriott members and have never been treated so rudely at the bistro before. I think that left a sour taste in our mouth so i decided to mention the window shades.
Staying here was a very pleasant surprise. Out of habit we usually stayed at the Ramada inn but it has really gone downhill in recent years.

Parking was convenient
The bed was old and very uncomfortable! The room smelled bad!
The room was next to a very noise elevator.
The cleaning staff knock on our room at 9am even though we had the do not disturb sign out.
I'll start with the good. Friendly front desk agent and clean room, although outdated, they are going thru remodeling which is needed. Now onto what made it memorable. My co-worker and I were waiting to check into our room. No one was at the front desk as we stood there for 2-3 minutes. One male employee walked behind the counter with his checkered shirt and backpack and ignored us. As I continued to have eye contact when he walked away he then said, someone will be coming out. No hello, no going to get someone. Strike one. After an hour after checking into the room, I met my co-worker in the lobby to have a drink before heading out to dinner. I approached the bar area/counter. There was the same employee that ignored us at check in behind the counter...assuming he was the bartender. I waited a few minutes, again he saw me and ignored. He eventually turned around and said, I can't open until 5pm, they won't let me. No problem, it was 4:52pm. We sat outside and enjoyed the nice weather. Went back inside to get that drink, no one was at the counter except a female employee mopping the entire area that just opened at 5pm. The guest bar area. We couldn't stand up to the counter because of the wet floor and the female employee told us to step back onto the carpet. Why would they be mopping at the time of opening? Why wouldn't that have been done prior to 5pm when there were not any guests in the area? Strike 2. So, we stood at the edge of the carpet, facing the front counter for bar service. We waited 7 minutes, and no one ever came to take our order. The female employee continued to mop the entire area, did not look for another employee to assist us. We decided to leave and head out to dinner. Strike 3. I will not be back.
Didn't eat breakfast
We unknowingly came to St. George at peak season and I was not initially impressed by the hotel choices. As soon as I saw this property I booked right away. I can always trust that Marriott properties are going to be exceptional. This was our child’s first hotel stay and he had a blast! We will stay here again the next time we are in town. Hotel staff, especially the front desk agents are incredibly helpful and friendly. Property is well kept and clean.
Very friendly staff and multiple working. No wait checking in. Room was spotless and very updated. Mattress was new and very comfortable.

Can t believe you re not given any type of glasses in the room,only paper coffee cups. The very basic coffee maker did not work,we were only given 2 decaf coffee pods. All good other than rotten housekeeping.
