With another professional reception manager, obviously, the hotel would be perfect.

My opinion of the Centara Kata is very negative. I spent 61 days there from August to September, then returned for another seven days for my daughter, who was coming to visit me from Paris. The breakfast staff were lovely and happy to see me, as were the housekeeping staff. But what a nasty surprise with the reception manager! She spoke to me very rudely and was condescending as soon as I returned. The room we had chosen together was completely different. I didn't say anything, even though it was very poorly located. Just as I was leaving, I asked if it was possible to check out at 1 p.m. instead of 12 p.m., and she gave me another nasty look and told me no, the hotel was full. I had been raving to everyone, since I now live in Phuket, about the kindness and hospitality of the Centara Hotel. Because of this manager, who has no interpersonal skills and is certainly unprofessional, judging by her behavior towards me, I've had the first experience of this. I've been traveling the world for years, and this is the first time I've encountered such a poor receptionist. Once I have a very, very bad opinion of someone, I unfortunately will not return to Centara Kata, and the publicity will not be good in the future. Be careful who you choose, because at nearly 300 euros per day, the welcome is paramount. Sincerely, Marcel PERIER

It was a good stay in general!nice location , convenient playground for the kids, nice having two different swimming pools.they had some grill nights , the food was really good and it worth it.

Cons:

We got missing our stroller from the flight to phuket but they sent it the same night to the hotel. After two i sent mail to the airport and they said me it was already in our hotel. I asked the receptionist and she just said that they called once , they knocked the door once and didn't found us. Every morning in the breakfast, every day in the swimming pool with two kids , and they didn't find us. Well.....that's just too unprofessional guys.....and it was a stroller (if you have kids you know).also I paid more than I paid to stay in the phi phi (which is a total paradise) so value for money not so good.

Koko hotellialue oli viihtyisä ja erityisesti monet allasalueet olivat loistavia. Myös lastenallas oli todella hyvä. Hotellin kannattaisi laittaa sivustoille enemmän ja parempia kuvia allasalueista, koska nykyiset kuvat eivät oikein edusta erityisesti loistavaa lasten allasaluetta. Hotellilla järjestettiin myös mukavaa maksutonta ohjelmaa kuten vaahtobileitä.

Polite staff in the restaurant, nice housekeeping.
Breakfast was good. 2 large swimming pool areas. The beach transfer was very useful as the walking time to the beach is around 10 minutes.

Cons:

The room I stayed needs a refreshment. Shower head was leaking. Some spots and stains on the walls.

Pros:

Good quality hotel in an excellent location near beaches and restaurants. Good value for money. There was quite a lot of familys in the hotel and we travelled as a couple, still the atmosphere was calm and nice.

Good breakfast. Excellent room and comfortable bed. Staff was really nice!

We would go again!
