Pros:

Wir haben den Geburtstag meiner Schwester im Schloss Hugenpoet gefeiert und hatten eine wirklich wunderbare Zeit.
Die Tee-Time war sehr schön und stilvoll arrangiert. Besonders die Etagere mit den Scones war einfach fantastisch.
Ein absolutes Highlight war die Schlossführung mit dem Baron persönlich. Es war unglaublich spannend, einen Blick hinter die Kulissen zu bekommen und zu erfahren, was die alltäglichen Aufgaben eines Schlossherrn sind und womit man sich gerade im Hinblick auf Denkmalschutz und -pflege beschäftigen muss.
Das Personal war durchweg außergewöhnlich freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Zimmer sind groß und sehr komfortabel, und auch der Roomservice hat hervorragend funktioniert.
Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das Frühstück: Statt Buffet gibt es ein À-la-carte-Konzept, und jedes einzelne Gericht war außergewöhnlich gut. Die Eierspeisen waren ein Traum, das Bircher Müsli hervorragend, dazu frische Säfte – alles auf sehr hohem Niveau. Auch die Pancakes und Waffeln wurden frisch zubereitet und waren einfach großartig.
Insgesamt hatten wir eine fantastische Zeit und können den Aufenthalt absolut empfehlen.

Cons:

Ein kleiner Wunsch für die Zukunft: Frisch aufgebrühter Tee statt Teebeuteln würde das Erlebnis bei der Tea Time noch perfekter machen.

Pros:

Wir waren schon mehr als zehnmal hier - Wir kommen immer wieder , es ist für uns eine Zwischenstation um unsere Mutter zu besuchen und fahren immer weiter nach Spanien - Diesmal war alles OK aber das war leider nicht immer so !

Cons:

Es fehlen E-Ladesäulen !!

L'architecture du batment
Le jardin, et ses oeuvres d'art.
La vue de la salle à manger sur le jardin

Cons:

Les chambres sont surchauffées.
Les persiennes de la chambre sont mal agencées et pour les tenir fermées, l'on a du mettre des coussins.
Le petit déjeuner, est spartiate il n'y a pas de buffet. L'assiette de fromage et de charcuterie est bien pour une personne mais pas pour deux.

Tolle Location! Super Frühstück, serviert vom kompetenten, freundlichem Personal….

Cons:

Eben ein altes Schloss. Badezimmer diesmal leider ohne Fenster; dafür mit lautem Lüfter, der über den Lichtschalter aktiviert wurde! Wir haben eine Tischlampe dort platziert - tolles Licht ohne Lüftergeräusche ;-) Leider haben wir keinen Tisch im Restaurant 1831 bekommen…….

Great place to spend a comfortable night with an excellent breakfast.
Pros:

Very clean, lovely building, excellent bathroom, comfortable bed, quiet location. Food offering in bistro was delicious and the breakfast was worth its 30 euro price as loads of food offered and super good quality.

Cons:

The decor is an acquired taste- plenty of beautiful antiques in the main part of the castle but room was furnished in a very 90s baby blue/dark brown, white tones with modern stripy or spotty soft furnishings (armchair, bed cushions, blind). I was hoping for country side grand home furnishings but stayed in modern-could be anywhere-room. Everything was however spotless and very comfortable.

Lovely property, attentive staff, very enjoyable stay.
Pros:

Very pleasant stay, lovely property, staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed on a Monday so ate at the Bistro which was lovely, and breakfast was excellent. Safe parking.

Cons:

The only comment is that the hotel is on the flightpath of the airport, which is fine once you are accustomed to it…. (not too noisy to be fair, but planes passing), there are no flights during the night, so peaceful sleep is possible. Obviously this is something the hotel can do absolutely nothing about and its environment is otherwise really lovely in what is, after all, a very busy location close to Düsseldorf and Essen, and may be a plus for convenience to the airport.
