How clean , comfortable and acceptable the hotel was

Clean room and surroundings, friendly staff. Time hortons is right across the intersection. Convenience store is adjacent to the hotel lobby.
I only chose this location due to its proximity to the work training I was getting. I should've done better research but usually booking.com doesn't disappoint. But I guess I was wrong this time. First and last time I stay at this facility, I'm not going to even call it a hotel. Maybe a bed renting place. After checking in, I looked to find an iron and an ironing table, I couldn't find them. Called front desk and the lady told me to come down stairs and get them myself as they don't have housekeeping. What kind of a hotel that doesn't have housekeeping. It was 11 pm, I was so tired from driving and the last thing I wanted, is to go downstairs and hall an ironing board and an iron. The front desk told me you can wait until 8:30 in the morning for the housekeeping to take them to you, But I couldn't wait as I had to leave early for my training. I've never experienced this before which was ridiculous. I asked why these items aren't in the room, I was told by the front desk that only king bed rooms have them. Even though my room had 2 queen beds but sure i guess those items are based on bed size which doesn't make any sense. So people with queen beds can leave with wrinkled clothes. Not sure what kind of logic this place follows.
There was a coffee machine for show as I couldn't find any bottles of water, again, called front desk they said they don't offer complimentary bottles of water, there's a convenient store across, I can go down and get them myself.
Tap water would have been horrible for coffee and tea as it has chlorine. For a coffee drinker like myself i got my coffee from a decent cafe anyway.
Needless to say, i'm never trusting booking.com for their recommendation for location proximity. It was by far my worst stay ever. I didn't bother trying their breakfast after I've been through all of that.
We liked that the staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very basic.
Big enough room , but no wardrobe
There was a peculiar smell on the gloor and in the room , they needs to b ventilated,rest was ok
