Clean easy check in and decent breakfast
Nothing
No good customer service
Beds
Only one wash and one dryer couldn't do my laundry was always in use
Rush hour traffic in the area.
Was clean, decent bathroom.
Loud-lots of dogs and people partying at night. Beds were super soft, needed a little firmness. Breakfast was an absolute joke.
The location was awesome and super close to downtown, which made everything really convenient. The room was spacious and the AC worked really well, which was a lifesaver during a hot July in Michigan.
A special shoutout to the male staff member (I can’t remember his name, but he was Middle Eastern), he was incredibly friendly and helpful. It honestly felt like he was there 24/7; every time I left my room, he was either at the front desk or busy cleaning. Really made the place feel well cared for.
Still, I’d definitely stay here again if I ever find myself back in Northern Michigan.
The only downsides were the oddly shaped shower and the beds, which were way too soft for my taste. I felt like I was sinking in.
Couldn't stay for the breakfast. Left before it was available. Comfortable, convenient to where I was going. Food very close by and price of room was reasonable.
Nothing .
Location was great. Didn't eat breakfast. Price was decent.
Room was a bit small. Spilled some water on floor, Wiped it up, towel was black.
Convenient and inexpensive
Bathroom door wouldn’t close. Pool has only two chairs to watch your kids. Smells like smoke in the building. Complementary breakfast and coffee was a half hour late. Staff was sneezing into his hand then touching food, counters, furniture, etc. gross
We were disappointed that the hotel wasn't as close to the beach as we had been led to believe. The beds were comfortable, but I have a mobility issue and it was difficult for me to get onto bed. They're very high. The pool and hot tub were clean, and we enjoyed using them. Other than not being on the beach, we were quite satisfied. It was also very close to my sister-in-law.
Due to the weather on the one day we had free, we were unable to go to the beach, ride jet skis, or go parasailing.
Everyone was friendly except the lady at the desk. Breakfast would have been nice, but we did enjoy Bob Evans just down the street. Since there was no breakfast, we had to go out to eat for all of our meals.
My main problem was that we actually booked through booking.com. I thought I was speaking to the reservation desk at the Season's Inn. Booking.com only reserved us for two nights when it should have been three. We did get a confirmation email stating the reservation had been corrected. However, upon checking in, the lady at the desk refused to look at the confirmation email. She said it didn't matter. She had no rooms. On the afternoon of what would have been our third day, the Manager (?) called to see if we were coming. By then, we had already booked at the Sleep Inn just down the road and even closer to my sister-in-law. The pool and spa were not clean. We would have preferred to stay at the Season's Inn. From now on, I will confirm that I am indeed speaking with the hotel, not booking.com or another booking agency.
Clean and updated in the rooms
The common area was a bit outdated. But, it’s fine.
Recently updated and very clean!
Close to restaurants and activities. Also liked the swimming pool.
The toilets were very low to the ground. The hair dryer only had one setting that worked and it took forever to blow dry my hair. It was the same in the second room . The beds were very uncomfortable. We asked for extra pillows and were told there wasn’t any extra that we could have. The vents in the swimming pool area were caked with dust. The pool was ok but the bottom felt slimy.
It was a good value. Updating was appreciated. Location was quiet. Pool and hot tub enjoyable. Breakfast was decent. The room was a little cramped. One bed less than a foot from the AC. A little cold for the people sleeping next to it and a little warm for the people farther away. We appreciate having queen beds and realize retro fitting them does have its limitations. Overall we had a good stay.
