And the room have insects,mosquitoes and bugs
Most important the management doesn't take accountability for poor management
People stay in a hotel for a good night rest not dirty sheets and pest in the room
Don't recommend to an enemy
Horrible management unethical poor management
dirty and not cleaned and well kept
No pest control
Manger says mosquito are normal part of the hotel instead of being concerned about the guest sleep being ruined
Management common Ruined the name of hide design hope the owner reads the review and takes action

I stayed at The Promenade, Pondicherry in October 2025, and I was highly impressed with the housekeeping team. The rooms were spotless every single day, with great attention to detail. Towels were always fresh, beds perfectly made, and every corner of the room looked well cared for.

The housekeeping staff were polite, prompt, and always greeted with a smile. They maintained the room with utmost professionalism, ensuring a very comfortable and hygienic stay throughout. Even small requests were handled quickly and efficiently.

Thanks to the housekeeping team for their outstanding work — they truly made my stay pleasant and relaxing. Highly recommended for anyone who values cleanliness and comfort!

My heartfelt honestly saying I booked romantic room packages for my hubby birthday 🎊 🎂 the way they decor the room was so beautiful fabulous i uploaded one of the picture, staff arranged wonnderful candle light dinner , hospitality is top notch, spacious and spotless room and also great decor , convenient location , on beach view room, neelavathy did grt job and rest of staffs also so friendly and respectful , impeccable service , we enjoyed a lot thanks to neelavathy and her team....

We had a truly wonderful evening at Bay of Buddha last night. The food, service, and ambiance were absolutely perfect — everything exceeded our expectations.

A special note of appreciation to Ms. Kamini Sharma, the Food & Beverage Manager, who went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. Despite the unexpected rain, she personally coordinated our table arrangements so politely and ensured we were comfortably seated under shelter. Her calm handling of the situation and professional hospitality stood out — she managed everything gracefully and took care of every guest with a warm smile.

The food was delicious, the service was attentive, and the atmosphere was charming. Even though it rained, it actually added to the magic of the evening — dining in the rain with such great service was truly unforgettable.

Highly recommend Bay of Buddha for anyone looking for a beautiful ambiance, great food, and exceptional hospitality. Can’t wait to visit again!

Hotel Promenade is a delightful place to stay in Puducherry. USP is it's location right on the Rock beach and close proximity to the White town.The ambience is good,rooms are cosy and clean and the food is delicious.Special shout out to all the staff who catered to our needs with warm hospitality!!

An excellent location, right on the sea front promenade, walking distance to great eating and other places in the white town. The hotel is maintained, and the sea facing rooms have a great view. I must particularly thanks Pirai and Prabhu from the front office team for handling my reservation and accommodating my last minute request. Each and every staff member was warm and courteous, enjoyed the breakfast, would return for the cheese omlette and dosa, and also the spa which was wonderful.

A lovely spot on the bay. Perfect for grabbing a local or imported beer and relaxing a bit out of the heat. They have really lovely and helpful staff here too

Best location with the sea view and also perfectly located to move around white town and other places. The service is great and the staff is very helpful. From booking to check-in to moving around the city and also the check out.. it was all perfect for my holiday

Excellent service provided by Hotel Staff - Bikram. He went above and beyond to help me during my stay. I will definitely visit this property again.

Everything was good except when we checked in there was a sundowner party going on. We has paid extra for this room and we were not informed earlier of the party. Even after closing the windows we could hear the loud music. This was especially problematic since we wanted to rest before we went out to explore the city. Also, my mother is a BP patient and this was an issue.

Other than that the food, the service, breakfast everything was wonderful.

Really nice experience, rooms were clean. Very polite staff, very good hospitality. We love food here better than many other places in Pondi.

We truly enjoyed our experience at Bay of Budha. The combination of delicious food and the beautiful beach view made it memorable. The service was excellent — the lady manager was very active, polite, and a sweet personality with a very beautiful smile. The service staff were also very attentive, explaining the dishes and ingredients to us with great detail , overall services was excellent compared other restaurants.A special thanks to the kitchen staff for preparing such mouthwatering food that made our visit even more delightful. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we look forward to visiting again.

The Promenade in Pondicherry is an excellent seaside property. The rooms are neat and well-maintained, and the staff is amazing. The food is delicious, fresh, and of excellent quality. I highly recommend this hotel for both family and business trips. Be aware that finding parking and navigating to the hotel can be a bit challenging.

Stayed here for two nights
The suite price is super expensive compared to the rooms- very old bathrooms, noisy floors, rooms are just ok-

Nothing great about the place except the location
The food in the groundfloor restaurant is also just ok and over priced

Breakfast buffet is just nirmal as at any hotel

Common lobbies were dirty with extra materesses all over.

Buddha by the Bay the rooftop restaurant is a nice place to be in the evenings

So basically u can get better and cheaper places in the same vicinity

I had a very pleasant experience during my stay with The Promenade. Good location, nice food, amazing staff and next level hospitality made my stay truly memorable. My special mention to Bikram to handled my booking seamlessly.
The only thing i felt is the pool is way too deep for kids and non-swimmers making it a concern, but I would still recommend booking the stay for other pros.
