Loved the friendly staff and fun design elements.
Hated the air conditioning, which was extraordinarily loud.
Location. Location. Location. I traveled with my college seniors to check out UNC for grad school. I debated on staying on campus or The Graduate. Given the location on Franklin Street, this ended up being perfect for us. Restaurants and shops all walkable. A fun vibe. Very clean with updated bathrooms.
Great atmosphere, clean and comfortable rooms. Great location!
Spacious, airy, and clean—though the soundproofing isn't particularly good.
You should add toothbrushes, toothpaste, and combs; this way, if guests staying nearby decide to spend the night—and haven't brought many belongings—they will have something to use in case they've forgotten their own supplies.
The location is great and the hotel is cute.
The room was ridiculously expensive and for the price, the bed was the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in. Pure springs. They offered to put a blanket on top to "fix" it.
Additionally the room had 2 packets of terrible instant coffee that they never restocked or replenished.
The amenities were low budget hotel and it's a shame.
fabulous location. near target, panera, and lots of restaurants. rooms are fine.
Nice, clean room. A little too noisy for me. Quiet hours do not commence until 10 pm so college kids fraternize in the atrium between 3 and 4 throwing play baskstballs and sounds travels making it difficult to work on rest. I much preferred Carolina inn and was said it was sold out. Another thing I should note is the balcony rooms far west Franklin on floor 3 not floor 4. I specifically chose a digital key on floor 4 since a couple reviews mentioned 4 as their balcony and was disappointed when I checked in they were wrong. I tried to switch immediately upon checkin to 4 but was not allowed to. They said they were sold out. Yes, they had been sold out for weeks.but moments ago I had two floor 3 options with a balcony so I don’t know why they didn’t allow me to switch. I paid something like $425 per night plus taxes and the room on the photo was much nicer so I didn’t appreciate the inflexibility, particularly with Hilton status which did not get me the two bottles of water either. The location is terrific though
This is a nice hotel in a good location for visiting UNC - we were in close walking distance to a lot of restaurants. Our room (two queen beds) was a good size and clean and well-lit. The hotel’s UNC-themed decor was fun and creative. And the staff at the front desk and in the restaurant for breakfast were excellent! Only downsides were that the mattresses were not super comfortable (harder than I like), our balcony looked out on a McDonald’s and a big dumpster, and the parking garage wasn’t great for accessing the hotel. Overall a good stay though and I would stay here again.
I stayed at the Graduate Chapel Hill on a college visit with my son. I had to review the hotel because our stay was perfect. The room was really comfortable, and I'm buying some of their pillows for my own bed. I slept like a baby. The service was 5 star, from the front desk to housekeeping to the folks at the restaurant and bar. They location is awesome and very walkable, and close to lots of restaurants and the campus. The coolest things were the small details that really made you feel the spirit at UNC. Really great experience. Highly recommended.
Location was great!!
Nothing to report!
Hieno tunnelma ja koripallo-teema. Ystävällinen henkilökunta.
Close proximity to many things we wanted to see and do
Upon arrival, there were two dogs consistently barking next door so we asked to switch room. Front desk staff seemed very bothered by this request; our request was granted but not without attitude. Returning from the basketball game at 920 p.m. we were delighted to see the sign outside the bar and restaurant that clarely said "Dinner and drinks 5 -10 p.m." We walked in and began to look at a menu and a very rude waitress barked at us "JUST TO LET YOU KNOW THE KITCHEN IS CLOSED". We asked why since the sign said 10 pm and she walked off. We tried to tell the front desk staff about this and she giggled and said "huh, I don't know". We asked if there were snacks she could offer us and she just laughed uncomfortably. With all the options in Chapel Hill walkable to campus, will not stay here again. The room was comfortable and clean and the whole MJ theme is very neat.
Rooms were clean, easy to maneuver with luggage cart, safe, quiet. Parking was easy.
The breakfast is expensive but otherwise everything was great
Super convenient to UNC
Parking garage is really tight for a truck
Nice hotel in downtown chapel hill. Eclectic furnishings with a lot of unc references . Don’t think it is worth the 4 stars though. Little things that you would expect for a 4 star hotel were missing. No ice bucket in the room, nor tea, just powdered instant coffee for example . Staff could have been friendlier.
