Relatively comfortable.
Pros:

Pool area was good, grounds were well kept. Security was excellent, very friendly staff.

Cons:

Wifi is terrible, television in my room did not work. Compulsory buying of drinks at pool bar was a little ridiculous, not allowed to take your own alcoholic drinks to the pool area was annoying, seemed like a money grab.

Never going back
Pros:

The grounds a very nice. Excellent location. Most of the staff were accommodating and helpful. The room was clean but very basic.

Cons:

Cold showers every day. The staff indicated it was due to the "new" owners. I had 5 days when the water was actually warm. Keeping in mind that I was in the hotel area not the condo area.
The rooms are also very dark. There were no amenities like a coffee machine, chairs (I used my patio chair) rather than sitting on the bed.

Solid 3 stars, with slight flaws
Pros:

The front units are privately owned condos versus the hotel in the back. The hotel has solar power hot water. If you are on the 3rd floor it's fine, 2nd floor okay; hence, the 1st you're out of luck. It took many attempts with the front desk to only find out they needed to flip a switch for hot water. Beautiful grounds and the location is awesome. The wifi for the Dominican was 80% working. Pools are clean. They have chairs on the beach but a third of them are broken. The rooms are adequate.

Cons:

Solar power hot water is problematic. Not enough lounge chairs for the pool area plus the chairs on the beach need to be replaced.

disappointing stay given the issues but great location and pools
Pros:

Nice clean pools and surroundings area (plants, flowers), surprisingly quiet for rooms facing mountain. Balcony was nice and location was great, near main beaches and restaurants (walking distance).

Cons:

No hot or warm water for dishes or shower for 5 days straight. Property did not even attempt to rectify the situation or propose other room nor give us a discount or reimbursement for the 5 remaining days left on reservation. Studio is very small. Room on 3rd floor with no elevator. Wifi was not reliable at all. We would be disconnected every 5 min

The hotel is nice and good price value. Too much traffic makes it unsafe to cross the Main Street and go to the beach. T

Very well located in the centre of town, close to the beach, big pools, beautiful landscaping, close to restaurants, kind and useful staff all around.

Cons:

It’s not about the property. The town itself can improve notably with few things in place such as pedestrian crossings for safety. When it rains the river nearby brings to the beach horrible plastic pollution from the interior of the island. It’s a deterrent for me to go back.
