Amazing Alex and team
Pros:

I had the absolute pleasure of encountering your reception host Alex tonight. I teach on a sales program and Alex embodies everything that you’d want in a great sales person. His attention, his manner and most of all his consistency is just brilliant.

He even spotted me after dinner and popped over to ask how everything was and could he get us anything else. Brilliant follow up Alex

Alex is also the reason I spoke to reception to ask re cost to stay here because if this is what my experience was like just on a ‘pop’ in occasion I’d say the hotel would be a lovely place to stay over for a couple of nights. Also to point out it wasn’t just Alex but also the lady who served us when finishing up dinner and was so pleasant with our 10 yr old son. Kudos Killashee and FBD hotels

Well done for hiring great people.

Nice Service but Food Could Be Improved
Pros:

I visited for afternoon tea yesterday at Killashee Hotel and unfortunately I wasn’t entirely happy with the experience. It was alright overall, but it didn’t really feel like a proper dining experience, as the food was very plain.

Starting with the scones – they seemed slightly undercooked, and you could smell a raw dough smell from them. We still ate them, but they didn’t sit very well afterwards.

The sandwiches were also quite plain and could have benefited from a bit more seasoning or even just a little salt. One of the desserts, the pistachio one with the rose topping, had a filling that tasted a bit off. It was hard to say exactly what was wrong with it, but something didn’t seem quite right.

On the positive side, the service was excellent. The girls serving us were fantastic – very friendly and attentive.

One small practical issue was the table height compared to the chairs. I’m 5'2", and we had to sit on the cushions to feel comfortable at the table. We managed, but it was a bit unusual.

Overall it was an interesting experience, and with a bit more attention to the food and seasoning it could be much better.

Thank you.

Pure luxury with a cosy Irish BNB vibe- Will be back!
Pros:

This was my first time staying in the Kilashee. Myself, my Mam and my 2 nieces went to celebrate our birthdays and the hotel went above and beyond without us even asking. When we arrived, we were given a lovely upgrade and looked after by a lovely receptionist called Marie. The hotel is in a great location. We had arrived early to head to the spa, and she took our bags and gave us a lovely Irish welcome. We enjoyed the afternoon at the spa and the hydrotherapy pool area. When we went to our (upgraded) room, a member of staff came and brought us each a desert birthday plate, and Mohammaed sang happy birthday to my nieces, which they thought was so lovely. Later that night, we went for dinner and were treated so well by Martina, and the manager Claire- they all went above and beyond to make us tasty cocktails (non-alcoholic options), and they sung happy birthday to us after our dinner over a tasty chocolate moose cake. I also noticed they did this for other guests celebrating birthdays also. It was a lovely thing to see. We also left with a tasty bag of leftovers, so thank you :) We spent the evening just exploring the hotel and enjoying the various nooks and crannies spotted around the grounds. Although the hotel is massive and very luxurious, we felt we were in a cosy, Irish B&B where everyone knew us. We were chatting to all the staff throughout our stay, and they made it such a lovely stay. Thank you so much for it. The staff really are so lovely. We will be back soon xx
