Thoroughly enjoyed our swim out pool apartment.

Love our swim out property.

Cons:

The breakfast was alright. I was expecting more selection for a 5 star resort and for the amount of money we paid. If selection is so so, maybe have more option for ordering ala carte, instead of just ala carte for ordering different types of omelette. Definitely had better buffet breakfast at other 5 stars hotels. I didn’t really like that the rubbish bin has no lid in the bathroom. The hair dryer is broken- not safe to use. The coating on fryer pan is worn off- unsafe to use. We had no house keeping on one of the day. When we called reception to let them know, apparently housekeeping all went home at 4pm.

Lovely!
Pros:

Loved our spacious room and the facilities it came with!

Cons:

While we were there, the pavements outside our room were being pressure cleaned so we didn’t have easy access to the pool entry on our side. This was a bit inconvenient with a toddler and infant.

Not worth it
Pros:

Nice pool, and gym and restaurant were OK.

Cons:

For a "penthouse" at a 5 star resort, it fell well short vs the cost. Hasn't been maintained vs when we were there last some years ago.
Room in particular was run down and a single bathroom for 4 adults in a 2 BR is not enough (my fault I didn't check).
Furniture and floors unclean, cabinetry broken and peeling, and the shower/bath would be a problem for short people to get into.
Service was bad but for a few exceptions. Most employees didn't seem happy to be there and we had to call multiple times to get more shower gel and dunny paper.

Incredible Stay at Port Douglas Pullman
Pros:

Private location out of town. Quiet despite being a large complex. Has beach access directly from the complex. Stunning pool area and lagoon. Friendly staff. We were in a spa studio. HUGE spa. Comfortable bed. Loved our stay

Cons:

Parking was a bit of a drama but not a big inconvenience. Couldn’t always find a park near the unit.

Property is tired and needs a refurb. We use to stay there 10 years ago and it is not what it use to be.

Not good, we were mislead into booking directly with Pullman.

Service, no one answers the front desk
Not a proper welcome at check in, gave us wrong room. Waiting almost 2 and half hours.
No maps were given, nobody informed us of the beach access.
We navigated ourselves through everything.
Hot pool burnt my client, it's definitely not 40 degrees. I have photos and also Rhythm took photos of this too.
Did not clean our room one day, another day did not change towels and and took my bathrobe.
Unauthorised transaction which occurred on Tuesday 26/05 of $700 plus, we checked out on 25/05. I will be reporting all of this to higher authorities. I thought we had a understanding at the time of checkout, I'm very furious of this unauthorised transaction.
