Pros:

Good staff close to trains and bus route.
Decor is a little tired but as a place to rest and refresh it is fine . Would happily go back again. Close to a good Chinese restaurant as well .

Pros:

I booked this along with others for the August scooter weekend The cost was very reasonable, the owners and staff were extremely nice and helpful, even putting out towels to dry our scooters after heavy rain. The breakfast too was also very good and the room, bedlinen and towels were clean.
The hotel is quite dated and the water pressure for the shower was a little troublesome but for the location and price I would be happy to stay again.

Its fine don't worry
Pros:

We booked quite late for the IOW scooter rally and required a twin room. I'll be honest some of the reviews were quite worrying but our criteria was its got to be better than camping.
As it turned out it was a very nice stay, clearly the hotel is old and could probably do with refurbishment but for what we needed it was more than suitable. The staff were lovely, they let us park our scooters on the grounds and went to the trouble to put out a pile of towels for us to dry our saddles in the morning. I am on a diet and they happily cooked me 2 poached eggs on toast for my breakfast and it was very good.
I don't normally leave reviews but I thought as we had so nearly been put off by some bad reviews the place deserved a fair shot.

Pros:

Bedbugs? Following a night in room 104 I was covered in very itchy red bite marks. These may have been caused by bedbugs. Last night the itching was so bad I took anti-histamine. This morning I have bites on my back, three behind my knee, two behind my armpit, and two on my stomach .

Average Stay with Some Concerns
Pros:

I recently stayed at this hotel for one night, and my experience was mixed. The hotel itself felt a bit dated, and there was a noticeable damp smell in the carpeting. The hosts didn't make us feel particularly welcome, which was disappointing.

One concerning aspect was the location of the emergency exit, which seemed quite far from our room. It raised doubts about the safety of the building in a real emergency.

Additionally, they ran out of breakfast options in the morning, forcing us to look for alternatives outside the hotel.

Moreover, it's worth noting that the hotel is a bit far from the seafront, which may not be ideal if you were hoping for a more beachfront location.

Parking was also a hassle as it was limited and full, forcing us to use the paid public parking next to the hotel.

Overall, it's an okay place for a one-night stay, but don't expect much more than that.

Pros:

A little dated in places but the attentiveness and friendliness of all the staff outshines everything.
Good breakfast with lashings of hot toast something other hotels should take a lesson from, nothing too much trouble.
Despite being on the main road it was quiet and the beds were clean and comfortable.
Would definitely return.

Pros:

The hotel was dilapidated. The carpet was threadbare. The corridors smelt musty. The bedding was clean and the bathroom was clean. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was nice. The staff were friendly and helpful where they could be

Pros:

We had a very enjoyable stay. This is a 3 star hotel, so don't expect any 4 or 5 star facilities.

Just a couple of minor gripes: parking is not easy, although there is a pay and display car park nearby (with 8 hours free parking for Blue badge holders). The televisions are very small, but I suppose one doesn't go on holiday to watch tv.

The rooms are clean and adequate. Breakfast was OK and we settled for poached eggs on toast.

All in all, it was a budget break for us and recommended

Pros:

While the staff were friendly and breakfast was quite nice, the whole place was out dated and dirty. A lot is blamed on the age of the building but the reality is that no money has been put in to it for years. Half of the lights didn't work, my bathroom had no privacy and you could clearly see in from the street. The shower wasn't great. But most importantly, it was dirty. They hadn't hoovered properly and the carpets hadn't had a proper clean in years. We had housekeeping in halfway through our stay, primarily for clean towels but they picked up the dirty towels off the floor and put them back on the bed. I know this because I had accidentally gotten blood on one of my towels and it was still there after the room had been 'cleaned'.
