Riktigt prisvärt hotell, med väldigt trevlig personal. Fanns en gratis buss som gick mellan hotellet och Sorrento varje timme.
Uppvärmd pool var verkligen en bonus då vi var där i månadsskiftet oktober/november.
Ligger inte så bra till om man gillar att promenera, då vägarna runt om kring till stor del saknar trottoarer eller är privata.

The key to this hotel is the staff. They are great. They are friendly, eager to help and take pride in their work and hotel. This is so rare these days and was a pleasure to experience.
The hotel has basic amenities but it is all you need and it works. The rooms are relatively basic but the rooms are very clean and everything works - demonstrating that the staff do their jobs well and take pride in it.
The restaurant is bright and airy and has a lovely view of the coast. The food is freshly prepared and some courses were genuinely excellent. We had the half-board package so ate from the 3-course set dinner menu which had good variation to it and we didn’t feel the need to move to the a la carte. We did see others have this and it looked very good. Breakfast had broad buffet-style options.
The main amenity is the swimming pool and sun terrace. This is a good size with the pool being 23m long and a very functional oblong shape rather than a random curve shape which is not very user friendly. The charm for me was that it is not heavily chlorinated which is always a pet hate of mine so this was welcome. The sun terrace is directly above the restaurant so also has lovely views of the coast.
The hotel location is a few kms outside of Sorrento which we liked as the town centre is very busy and few hotels have a sea view. The key to this being functional is the shuttle bus which runs hourly and drops right into the centre of town. We found it to be utterly reliable and comfortable.
Overall we would certainly recommend and would like to thank the staff for their part in a really enjoyable holiday.
Our stay at La Solara was exceptional. Every member of staff was very friendly and helpful and everything was run extremely efficiently. The hotel and rooms are very clean, the restaurant food delicious, prices very reasonable and the service wonderful. We really enjoyed getting to know the staff during our time there and we felt that they take a genuine interest in providing a high quality guest experience.
We were a family of four and had two interconnecting rooms which worked really well and we were grateful the hotel was able to accommodate this.
We liked the location outside of the hustle and bustle of central Sorrento and the shuttle was extremely reliable so we didn't feel that not being within walking distance was an issue at all. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Thank you to all the team at La Solara that made our holiday so enjoyable! Grazie.
The hotel was just beautiful! The offer a shuttle service into Sorrento and back. It was nice to get away from the crowds of people in Sorrento. Beautiful pool with snack bar. We ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel and they were both delicious! Desk staff was most helpful especially Massimo who helped us book a hotel near Naples airport for our flight home.

Just came back from a 3 night stay in beautiful Sorrento. I can not fault this hotel it was lovely. 10 minute drive from the town centre abit dangerous to walk. Friendly welcome, all the staff were very nice and helpful. Room was spotless, had everything you would need and was cleaned everyday. Breakfast was a buffet, mostly continental but with some bacon and egg which tasted great. Dinner was a sit down three course meal, always nice with a couple of choices. Sunday night was gala night , candlelight dinner with piano playing, great atmosphere we enjoyed our holiday alot.

Overly obsequious but not kind or friendly. Unreliable shuttle bus into Sorrento. Noisy road, noisy hotel (musical entertainment goes on even when no one is listening/watching).
