Hotel Monte Cristo

Great hotel in a really lovely neighbourhood. Actual feels like you're staying in a real area rather than a tourist trap. Some great shops/bars/restaurants on your doorstep. Pool, rooms, staff, breakfast all great (just get a better coffee machine pls). Bar very special and (for what we paid), terrific value for money. Recommended

Great stay. The rum bar downstairs was fun- great drinks and atmosphere. Beautiful room.

Väldigt trevligt hotell (från 1805) med centralt läge.. Mycket trevlig personal. Bra frukost med bra urval 5⭐️! Jag och döttrarna bodde där en långweekend (svit). Fräscht och fint i badrum och toalett. Enda lilla avdraget från 5p var att det inte fanns belysning eller eluttag vid exstrasängen, men det kan man leva med när allt annat är perfekt!

I prefer to stay here when in Paris. Easy to walk to so much, including the metro. The bar is fabulous and the staff are an absolute delight.

With over 30 years in hospitality across 6 countries and 3 continents...Monte Cristo was awesome. Boutique style hotel that has early 19th century vibes, not sterile like large name branded options. Rooms decor was awesome. Breakfast was good option, but the bar it is served in is top notch vintage look. Guest service very positive. And great location with 30 mins to Notre Dame and catacombs. And 5 mins to heart of Latin Quarter.

A unique hotel in a quiet neighbourhood with cobblestone roads with cafes and market nearby. The room was beautifully decorated, lush and cozy. Will stay again

A beautiful hotel in the heart to Paris close many sights to see. Comfortable rooms but somewhat small, typical for older hotels in this area. Highlight is the lap pool and sauna. Metro or bus close by to nearly anywhere in Paris.

An eclectic, fun, stylish hotel. Great service, very comfortable. Stayed in an attic room with a wonderful view over the Paris rooftops. They even have a secret indoor pool and sauna to unwind after a day of walking. Their rum bar is world-renowned, with attentive, well-informed service from Donovan and his team. I'll be back!

Unfortunately due to weather-related flight delays, my long weekend trip to Paris from the United States was cancelled. I had booked two hotels with non-refundable rates due to the limited availability for the weekend I was traveling.

The first hotel gave me credit for a future stay even though I alerted them after the check in time. This was very kind.

The Monte Cristo, despite getting two days notice before my check in, took my money and gave me nothing in return. I was hoping for a credit, especially given that they could have easily resold my room, and probably did. I go to Paris for work often and will not stay here given the short-term thinking about guest relations.

Stayed here for 4 nights & a really lovely hotel.

Gorgeous bedroom, beautiful bathroom (I now want to copy it in my own home!), AC very efficient and quiet.
Slept very well, bed very comfortable.
Decoration a great mix of modern and traditional French.
Only minor issue was it was difficult to read at night as the large bedside French nightshade didn't give off any light and they blocked the wall mounted reading lights (this was the case in Room 203, might not be an issue in other bedrooms)

The swimming pool was great, only 4 people allowed as its narrow but long. I managed 35 lengths but was mostly on my own in there.

Breakfast was amazing, all the food was of a high standard. They even serve smoked salmon! Waitresses serve you cappuccinos, lovely fruits, pastries & breads. I thought the yoghurt was quite sour which was a shame as the granola was lovely

Reception staff were very helpful and pleasant. We had a problem with an uber as we were leaving fir the train station and the lady receptionist kindly liaised with him in French on our behalf then ordered us a taxi instead and we made our train on time.

Would definitely return to this hotel and recommend to anyone, 5 stars!

We stayed at The monte Cristo hotel for 4 nights we loved all the decor its very much a boutique hotel. The entrance lobby is very inviting and the reception staff were all very smart, helpful and friendly.

Our room 106 was on the first floor facing the road, it was quite small for a superior room but probably what is usual for Paris, lovely large bathroom with great walk in shower. Lovely toiletries ❤️.

The breakfast is offered in the Bar area, super relaxing buffet style, lots of choice, good quality, always offered coffee straight away and again really pleasant staff.

The Bar at night was fabulous to return to for a nightcap, specialising in Rum’s, my husband was happy.

We did visit the pool but not anywhere to sit and relax, the two wicker uncomfortable looking beds were taken, so we did a few lengths and returned to our room.

Location wise this hotel is perfect in the Latin quarter which has more of a village feel plenty of bars, restaurants and coffee houses. It was great after a heavy day sightseeing to be able to stay local, small square near with a great vibe in the evening. 5 mins to metro, 25 min walk Notre Dame, 10 min walk to Pantheon. We would definitely return to this hotel

Hôtel original, très bien décoré, bien tenu et dépaysant. A deux pas d'une rue iconique, parfait pour un séjour iconique. Prix justifié. Personnel charmant et professionnel.

Perfect stay A-Z.

This is a charming hotel in a great location in the Latin Quarter. There are lots of restaurants and cafes nearby, plus it's only 5 minutes to the nearest metro. The neighborhood is very safe and lively, but quiet at night. The hotel is clean, beautifully decorated, and has a great breakfast and a beautiful pool and sauna (which seems pretty rare for Paris hotels). Staff are friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend it!
