Great private hotel, which needs a little attention to detail to make it 5*
Pros:

Well located in Marylebone and just a short walk from Oxford Street etc. Room was good and the bars and smaller rooms downstairs reek of nostalgia and authenticity. It's privately owned so it feels different from the corporate homogeneity.

Cons:

The water pressure in our shower was pitiful; about enough to wash your hands, not your body. Checking in wasn't a great experience either as the lady on the desk was pretty miserable. But that shouldn't overshadow the fact this is a decent hotel, but these two things were disappointing.

Beautiful charming hotel in a great location with very happy attentive staff.
Pros:

We love this hotels old fashioned charm the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for us. However this time the temperature was unusually high and our room didn’t have air conditioning which made sleeping very uncomfortable. We realise of course this is a very old property so maybe we will stick to booking this in the winter months.

Cons:

More plug sockets in the bedrooms.

Pros:

We have stayed at this hotel multiple times it is very good value considering the location particularly. The staff are very helpful. I have to commend Anastasia who helped me revise a booking and nothing was too much trouble.
Old world charm. The best egg Benedict and À la carte breakfast a welcome change these days from the buffet style.

Gorgeous club style hotel better suited to spring or autumn
Pros:

Beautiful hotel in a fabulous location. There club style with a little labyrinth of adjoining cubby hole type rooms is ideal for a client meet or an involved conversation and the staff are absolutely sweet, all sweltering in the heatwave of late June but no smile slipped, not sure I would be so patient!

Cons:

Alas, this hotel is not unusual but hit I feel a bit more than most by the increasingly hotel weather. The lack of air con made the beautifully decorated rooms stifling. The fans helped…a bit.
