Had a fine stay. Not against staying again but would consider other options too.

Always Good
Pros:

Always a good stay here. Renovations are underway, and that's exciting. The food is also excellent. The flatbread Margherita pizza was terrific.

Fine for a Short Stay
Pros:

Stayed two nights when attending an event in the area; is a good location at the junction of Routes 15 & 30. The room was clean. The lighting in the room was too dim--impossible to read in bed. The room could have been improved by adding full length & make up mirrors, The hotel does not offer included breakfast, not even a coffee / tea station in the expansive lobby. They do have a restaurant with a buffet breakfast but we chose to go to a local place only a mile away instead.

Bed and Room Need Work
Pros:

This hotel is in an excellent location. However, the room was a bit small, and the bed horrible. I’ve stayed at quite a few Wyndham’s, and this was the worst as far as comfort. The air conditioner could only be on high, so when I slept it blew on my face, giving me a headache. I tried everything – putting pillows next to my side to block the air - and finally just put my feet at the head of the bed and slept that way so the air would not blow on my face. I should note we had two queen beds, and my sister had no problems in the bed closest to the bathroom. The bed itself was concave – I wish I took a photo of it but got busy and forgot. I did not get much sleep at this hotel!

Location. The historical theme of American history. Restaurant and Bar in the hotel. Also, the little touches in the bathroom such as the swan wash clothes and flowers in the tissue boxes

Cons:

No microwave in the room. It says on website that rooms have microwaves and they do not. Also upgrading the coffee pot in the room would be helpful

It was comfortable,didn’t meet expectation.
Pros:

We didn’t buy the breakfast,thinking the breakfast should have been included.The pool and hot tub were great and was not over chlorinated as some hotels.The night staff were excellent.

Cons:

The lack of amenities was evident and did not compare to some other hotels we’ve experienced.

It would have been better if we had went on a different weekend.
Pros:

The Room was spacious, pool was very nice and clean, and the hotel lobby was large. There were food options and there were walkable places to visit.

Cons:

There was no microwave in the room. We went on a weekend there was a soccer tournament and the lobby was loud and chaotic nearly every night. The walls were so thin we could hear the kids screaming in the hallway all night long.

Worst experience
Pros:

This is absolutely the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. There was mold all over the shower. The toilet didn’t flush properly. The room was musky. We paid $500 for the weekend(2 nights!!). The customer service was also terrible. I left early Sunday morning and checked out because we only had one soccer game scheduled. We ended up winning that game and they added a second game that afternoon. Since we now had nowhere to go, I called the hotel and asked if we would still be able to get back into our room, even though we had checked out. I was put on a five minute hold while they contacted the manager. The person came back on the phone and said that would be fine and just stop by the front desk when I returned. This was a 30 minute drive from where I was, that’s why I called first to check. Upon returning, I checked in with the receptionist who told me I could not get back into the room and her manager does not work on the weekends. I asked if she has a way to contact her and she said yes but was not willing to. I would not have come back to the hotel if I wasn’t told I could get back into my room. Terrible experience, will not ever be returning to Wyndham hotels in general and Will advising our soccer club(who we were there with) about the experience.

The Vending Machine is a TRAP!

I did not like the fact that the hotel knowingly had a defective vending machine and did not offer any form of compensation to hotel guests who fell victim to it. I understand that the hotel chain has a contract with a specific vending machine company and therefore no control over potential issues with said machine. But, if a hotel guest informs the front desk that a vending machine is defective in the return of a four dollar refund for a soda and glitching with a code that says "99.999" then would it really be a big deal to apologize for the inconvenience and offer a soda from the hotel lobby or some other token of apology? It seemed like this was something that happened before based on the hotel clerk's scripted and robotic response so if that's the case why not put a sign on the vending machine saying it is defective to prevent any further issues? We have been to this hotel repeatedly for many years and we were disappointed in the lack of hospitality for something so simple as a soda. If we ever come back we will definitely never use the vending machine and have some low expectations for simple hospitality.
